Hyatt Vacation Club at Sirena del Mar is often celebrated by guests for its attentive staff and homey atmosphere, enriched by traditional events. While the rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, some visitors have noted that they could benefit from updates and better maintenance. Despite its higher-priced restaurant and drinks, many travelers find value during happy hour specials and appreciate the resort's amenities, including the pools and beach access.
The resort's cleanliness earns praise, though housekeeping schedules might need tweaking. Its secluded yet convenient location offers tranquility and stunning views, making it a popular choice for those seeking both relaxation and nearby attractions.

We booked a 1 BR garden view suite directly through the resort. Nice balcony overlooking pool area with ocean in the distance and a great hammock. No timeshare pressure at all. This is a lovely, spotless, well maintained property with friendly staff. The grounds are beautiful, full of warm colors, palm trees, bougainvillea and if you’re an early riser you can catch sunrises with lots of birds chirping. The food and drinks were a bit expensive from a Cdn point of view, but happy hours are good with delicious daily drink features. We ubered up the hill to Fresko, nice modern grocery store and the BBQ grills on the resort are always magically clean and ready to use. Also ubered to Cabo San Lucas for a boat ride and San Jose Del Cabo for an afternoon walk around the charming central Plaza. The plunge pool was our favourite and there were always nice travellers to chat with. The pools weren’t crowded when we were there and never a hassle over lounge chairs and towels. There’s just enough activity and music in the pool during the day where you can join in if you want to. We loved Mexican Fiesta night and it was worth the dinner price with a buffet of Mexican food, mariachi music, and dance with beautiful costumes. Would highly recommend this resort if you’re looking for a laid back experience.

My daughter and I absolutely loved our week at Sirena del Mar- only positive things to say- zero complaints. The location was perfect- we enjoyed being in a more quiet, secluded spot just a short uber ride to town and other restaurants and beaches. The view of the arch from the beautiful, warm infinity pools was spectacular, gorgeous sunrises from the pool deck, and the view from our ocean view room was lovely. We had no issues whatsoever with our room. The staff were kind, polite, helpful and really tried to create a fun atmosphere with various activities throughout the day. My daughter had a nasty allergic reaction to a jellyfish sting, and the staff (especially Antonio and Raziel) were caring and attentive, going above and beyond to check in on her and offer medical suggestions had we decided to visit a dr.) We never ate at the restaurant but did order lunch and drinks by the pool. We took advantage of the happy hour drink specials as the drinks were a bit pricey. The private, swimmable beach just a short walk down the hill was the cherry on top, as swimming is not possible in the ocean at most resorts in the area. The resort offered complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and snorkel gear and even let you take these items off property to other beaches (we loved snorkeling at Santa Maria, Chileno, and Tequila Cove Beach- all suggested by staff who took the time to give us local tips) We had no issues bringing our own waters to the pool. We loved the small size of the resort and felt it was an excellent value. Highly recommend!

Stayed at Sirena Del Mar (Formerly Welks Resorts) stayed in building 1 4th floor had a fantastic ocean view. Could even see the famous Arch from our balcony. The resort is not close to any of the downtown area, but Uber was very easy and half the price of tax’s. The resort was great not many kids this time of year pool area had activities daily but was still very relaxing. The resort makes there money on very expensive drinks and food in the restaurant. They also charge a resort fee and environment fee of $125 a day . We are owners and we were aware of these charges ahead of time. Some areas of resort shows its age, Hyatt Vacation Club the new owner will need to come up with a plan to address the issues. Over all we enjoyed resort, grocery store right across the street from the highway made it a quick Uber ride to pick up groceries and Liquor for the week. We will go back at another date and will look forward to seeing what Hyatt does to improve the property.

We had the opportunity to stay at this resort for 9 days in November. The views are amazing and its smaller so there isn't a ton of people if you like a quieter vibe. The hotel staff is not helpful at all, and the staff at check in were less than willing to help ensure we were happy with our room. The concierge contacted me prior to our stay however when I inquired about our room and spa services, I receive no response ever. Our room had a "garden" view which was on the first floor with the mosquitos and a view unmaintained landscape. When we asked to move rooms, we were told there wasn't any other rooms, despite the fact that their resort appeared to be at pretty low occupancy. The restaurant was amazing that the staff there go above and beyond to make sure your happy. It shouldn't be a surprise as the menu indicated that it is run by a third party and not the hotel itself. Whenever we entered to lobby, we were never greeted, but rather all the employees would look down as to look like they were deep in their work. We were supposed to get maid service every three days however we onlt recieved it on the thurd day and then never again. When we checked out there was no asking how our stay was or a mention to welcome us back, very lack luster check in staff to help you (or not).

I love this place! I have been to the Cabo area at least a dozen times and I can honestly say this is one of my favorites! Why, you ask? So many reasons: It is a smaller resort, compared to so many in the area, making it so easy to get around. There were always plenty of lounge chairs on various decks. The pools' water was warm and inviting. The guys in Activities were great - special shout out to Raziel - he was so much fun! I may be showing my age, but I loved that it was quiet! There were a few times when music was played, but (I think) only during pool aerobics. I loved that you could walk down to the semi-private beach via a large concrete spiral stairway; free chairs and umbrellas are located by the bell boys. Our room (one king bed in bedroom, and pull-out queen bed in main room - really comfortable) had all you need; I especially appreciated everything in the kitchen: all utensils, pots, pans, glass containers with lids for leftovers, large fridge, 2-burner stove and microwave. I would advise travelers to go to Walmart or Costco in the first day or two - you'll save a lot of money; we bought breakfast items, as well as chips, salsa, guac, tequila, etc. Other perks: indoor/outdoor restaurant, hot tubs, large fire pit with chairs around it. We had no trouble using Uber (usually picked us up within 5 minutes); it was a quick ride to the action downtown and to Medano Beach. We did two activities with Cabo Adventures: a whale-watching trip on a zodiac, and a sunset cruise on a catamaran which was probably my favorite thing to do. We also took an Uber to the Thursday night art walk in San Jose del Cabo, and found a great bar/restaurant with a great band. I will be back! Pam

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Sirena del Mar. We were in building 3, room 204A, with a most amazing patio that overlooked the sea. Our visit in February was perfect for watching whales right from the patio.
This place had a full list of daily activities. We did not partake in any, as we like to do our own thing, but the list was varied and looked like it has something for everyone. We did enjoy sitting at the firepit in the evening and listening to the live music (note that smoking is allowed at the firepit, but it is so very big, it is easy to stay out of the way of secondhand smoke.)
Our apartment had a fully stocked kitchen, a two-person shower, a huge jetted tub, washer and dryer, comfortable bed, fully living room, dining room, and snack bar. There is not daily maid service, but it is easy to request towels or more dishwasher or laundry tabs.
It is outside of Cabo, which is what we prefered but a super easy Uber ride to restaurants in the evening. There is also a large grocery store very close by.
Service was excellent everywhere from the valet to reception to the spa. Massages are in an outdoor hut, with the sounds of the ocean in the background. Heavenly.

Went with friends for a week. Had an enjoyable time being served by excellent team members in the bar and the Estella restaurant. Had some great shows after dinner. Staff was so attentive I saw a housekeeper and a maintenance person stop and push the elevator button for us as we walked that way. Pools were fantastic.

The rooms were incredible and the resort was gorgeous, fantastic views right on the water. The private beach was very rocky and not at all good for swimming. There is only 1 restaurant on the resort and it is not an all inclusive resort so you will pay a good amount if you choose to eat/drink there. A grocery store is practically across the street and an Uber ride there is not too expensive so I recommend going there and cooking for yourself to save the money. Other than that there really isn’t anything happening at the resort throughout the day or night

Every time we visit we are greeted with “welcome home” and truly we feel we are at home with family. Truly the staff is our number one reason for staying here annually. We also love the small, homey feel to this resort. Not a big party resort. Shout out to Francisco, Edgar and Gabriel who are always there to welcome you, greet you with a smile, take your groceries and luggage up to your room for you. They will happily help you with anything you need! Esther is housekeeping is just the kindest! Antonio, Guillermo, Alex, Jose, Matteo, Miguel we love these men! They are always attentive to your needs whether eating a meal, ordering drinks at the pool or ordering drinks from the bar. They truly care and do their best to get to know everyone. We did the cooking class, this trip; it was salsa, guacamole and ceviche. Raziel was quite the commentator and the chef was fantastic (darn! his name slipped my mind as we only had the one interaction). Te can’t merger and front desk staff are always helpful! We spent nearly two weeks this trip and unfortunately I became quite ill at the end of our trip. The staff cared enough to check in on me and make sure I was doing ok. That means so much to me. Jonas we have enjoyed watching you “grow”up here! You’re amazing! Hyatt management, if I could hire these men to work for me I absolutely would! You are blessed to have such great staff! The success of Hyatt - Sirena Del Mar is largely due to the staff on your team! Great job!

Only reason it receives a 2 star because it has an amazing view of the water and arches, otherwise, this place is horrible.
The first room we were out in had a strong smell of mold (visible mold on majority of the grout between shower tiles) and had a horrible shower head that was like a mini pressure washer which bothered sensitive areas on my pregnant wife. When told about the mold they moved us to a new room and told me the mold smell was from the AC “similar to how car AC smells when you turn it on”, which is a load of BS. The second room we stayed in had hot water for one day, then nothing but cold water after that. Don’t spend your hard earned money on conditions that are worse than your personal home. We stayed at the Hacienda Encantada last year and it was significantly nicer. Most of the food we got at the hotel was bland but fries were good. They conveniently offer complimentary umbrellas and chairs but super inconveniently make you return them 2 hours before sunset by 5pm, so you’ll have to leave the beach you’re at early to return the complimentary beach gear. Small resort with 2 small pools, 2 hot tubs, no kids only pool and no adults only pool.

Strongly recommend take a local uber.. to be picked up from the resort.. i say less than 10 min. Not walkable. you can do bus too but better off with Uber point to point.
Yes, you can swim and snorkel at the private beach. I do it every day. Hyatt will provide beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler if you want to bring drinks/food. There is a spiral cement stairway to get from the resort to the beach. I’m 75 and don’t have an issue with it.
There are more places to choose from in the Cabo San Lucas area.
