Nobu Hotel Los Cabos garners acclaim for its ample amenities, including a luxurious spa and well-maintained pools, nestled in a tranquil yet vibrant setting with ubiquitous music. Guests have called out the exceptionally attentive service and modern rooms, though opinions on value are mixed, with some deeming the resort overpriced.
While the immaculate cleanliness receives high marks, the location's beauty is praised even as its remoteness draws some criticism.

In the past, we have stayed at various hotels in Los Cabos. This time, we decided to try Hotel Nobu, and our experience was truly enjoyable, both for the facilities and its privileged location.
The hotel's architecture is exceptional. It is not a large resort with an overwhelming number of rooms but rather a thoughtfully designed space with a minimalist lobby and buildings no taller than three stories. The rooms feature modern decor with a Japanese touch, and details like automated curtains enhance the overall comfort. The impeccable bed preparation, carried out multiple times a day by the housekeeping staff, is worth highlighting. Although we didn't find the soft pillows comfortable, the staff promptly provided memory foam pillows that perfectly met our expectations.
The hotel has three pool areas: one with a live DJ and great music, another quieter one with lounge music, and a third area facing the ocean that requires a reservation. We particularly enjoyed the tranquil zone, where the pool is well-designed with comfortable access points and an ideal water temperature. This area also has three jacuzzis without jets, preserving the peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, the Japanese-style kiosks provide shade and privacy, enhancing the relaxation experience.
The quality of the restaurants is outstanding. The use of top-tier ingredients is evident in every dish, and the menus are well-balanced. We loved the atmosphere at Arden restaurant, especially the opportunity to sit in front of the kitchen and watch the dishes being prepared. We tried the cowboy and ribeye cuts—both exquisite, with impeccable presentation and cooking. The lemon dessert was also excellent, with a perfect portion size. Interestingly, the menu does not include potato-based sides, though classic French fries can be requested. The coffee in all restaurants is of high quality and strong flavor. We also enjoyed the Nobu restaurant, which offers a predominantly Japanese menu with some Peruvian dishes. The cooking was impeccable, and the overall service throughout the hotel was excellent.
The gym is well-equipped for a complete workout. Additionally, the café in the lobby enhances the culinary experience, offering high-quality coffee and delicious ice cream.
The hotel has two stores: one specializing in high-quality linen clothing and another featuring Mexican art and apparel suitable for exercise or the beach.
One of the things we liked the most was the hotel's location. There are only two hotels in the area, providing an almost limitless beach with no other constructions in sight. During our stay, we were lucky to witness whale season, spending hours watching the spectacular migration of humpback whales.
In conclusion, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Nobu. The experience is truly complete and well worth it.

Stayed here with my wife on a baby moon in May 2024. We booked through Amex FHR and received typical benefits, including an upgrade to an ocean view room in Building 3. The room was spacious and decorated consistently with the hotel’s striking architectural profile. The hotel provided photos actually do accurately convey the rooms— the standard of housekeeping is just that good.
We mostly dined on-resort. We felt that the food at Playa Bar was good, but largely not worth the prices charged (inclusive of tax and 15% gratuity). The drinks (alcoholic and mocktails) were excellent and fairly priced. We dined twice at Nobu and were given exemplary food and service. Ardea was excellent, with a hip and intimate space and an excellent lamb shank.
The infinity pool was closed for the duration of our stay but we found the other pools excellent. There was a consistent, stiff breeze throughout our stay. We enjoyed this immensely as it kept things reasonably comfortable (78° vs 92° in Cabo San Lucas itself). We did not expect to swim in the ocean, and after watching large waves break from the pool, any residual temptation subsided.
We were “invited” to the timeshare presentation and attended with an open mind. We did not end up purchasing, and we felt respected by the sales staff in that decision. We were handed off to a booker immediately after checking in to arrange the presentation— while this could feel unseemly at such a high caliber property, we felt that the interaction was not distasteful. The incentives we received represented a fair value for our time.
I will last touch on a few of the negatives we felt. As the complex is at the very end of a private, guarded road, guests are required to book taxis off property through the hotel. This cost about 50% more than our return Uber (guests will need to provide their room number when returning via Uber), but the security rationale is an adequate reason to pay the premium. The other was my attempt to find a reasonably priced polo shirt. As a connoisseur of golf shirts, I understand and expect a meaningful markup when I’m buying resort-branded apparel. With that said, paying $234 (taxes included) for a polo struck me as a touch extortionate. One can only hope that they someday go on sale.
These quibbles aside, Nobu Los Cabos compared favorably to luxury hotels we have patronized. We look forward to returning to the relaxed, architecturally brilliant hotel and its top notch staff soon.

We had our wedding at Nobu in December and it was the most amazing experience. Our concierge Eduardo was so helpful, helping us with laundry services, making sure our rooms were cleaned timely for photos, and helping us with booking another room last minute. We were so grateful for an attentive staff. The hotel itself was a wonderful experience for our guests. There are so many restaurants on site compared to other luxury resorts that it was easy to find a new place to hang out for each meal. The food and drinks are a little pricey, but prices are honestly similar to what you see at any other luxury resort in Cabo, they’re also generous portions and AMAZING quality. We also loved all the whales we saw off shore at Cabo, it made the experience that much more unique! We transferred to another hotel closer to San Jose Del Cabo and did not see near as many. Also the weather was perfect, the pacific side can be windy (when we toured in July we were nervous) but it was absolutely perfect in December! You can’t swim at the beach, but you really don’t feel the need to anyway with all of the pools at Nobu. Downtown is a little far, but that didn’t prevent our guests from going into town, and several guests preferred to not even leave the resort anyway. 10/10 recommend.

My boyfriend and i booked the nobu for our 1 year anniversary and we are definitely coming back! First of i want to say that our personal concierge, Diego Flores, went above and beyond for us. Upon arrival he showed us around and took us to the pacific restaurant while carrying our backpacks. The day of our anniversary, he got us a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and made sure there was roses all over our room. Next day we felt like playing volleyball so he delivered a ball all the way to our room. On the last day of our stay i got a very painful sun burn and he went out of his way to get me freshly cut aloe vera. He was very responsive and extremely attentive. The service was just phenomenal and you dont see this type of service anywhere anymore. Every time we came back to our room all our clothes were folded even down to our toilet paper. Great attention to detail by everyone! Everywhere i went i was greeted with a smile and felt genuinely welcomed. All of the staff always took an extra step to make us feel special in their own way.
I recommend trying the Ardea restaurant, it was our favorite while staying here. The spa was also amazing i recommend on going earlier to try the wetlands. I will say though be prepared to drop a bag here prices are high on everything! They were definitely taxing at some point, Sunscreen here was $60 USD

Nobu is a beautiful hotel with the incredible Nobu restaurant. The Mexican cooking class was awesome. The ocean view suite was very spacious. Housekeeping staff did a great job, twice a day service. But I feel there is room for improvement. Both our friends and our rooms (next to each other), never got hot water out of the shower, warm at best. We mentioned it numerous times to housekeeping and they said to let the water run for 10 minutes beforehand which changed nothing. The lighting configuration in the bathroom needs help. The bathroom has a movement sensor that lights very bright under counter lights which is great during the day but at night with the sliding doors facing the bed, the lights illuminate the bedroom, waking sleeping spouse. It was so bad, that they sent the electrician to disconnect the lights. There is no light switch in the water closet, again requiring you to light up the bathroom in the middle of the night to make your way to the loo.l, bring a night light. For a new hotel 4 yrs old) I do not understand the lack of a bathroom fan. There are a variety of hot tubs on property and only one was hot, the rest were tepid. We mentioned it several times and it fell on deaf ears. Finally, the hotel is on Diamanté property, and once you enter it takes another 10-15 minutes to reach the hotel. If you plan on going into downtown Cabo plan on a 45 minute cab ride and a $45 charge each way. Cheaper to Uber. My husband and I are in our mid-60’s. This hotel is more for the younger crowd, a DJ is playing music at one of the pools and the other quiet pool, changes the tranquil music at 1:30pm to louder techno music. The adult only infinity pool has maybe 8- 10 chaises only, and requires a $50 good/bev minimum per chair. Weather was cool during our visit, the pool water was warm which was a plus. Yoga classes and gym were great but needs to work on some of the amenities.

I will preface my review by saying the Nobu hotel itself is an amazing, high end resort to stay at. All of its restaurants served very good quality food, the service is top notch, and all of their staff are so kind and welcoming.
The check in process was easy, however if you get there before check in time (3PM) expect to wait until it is check in time to get to your room. You are assigned a concierge official who you can conveniently text for any questions, reservations, etc. Ours was Michelle and she went above and beyond to make our stay more convenient and relaxing.
The room itself was modern and clean, with all the amenities you can think of. The bed was really comfortable. Room service was really easy to reach with a simple phone call or tablet which had the food menus laid out. Our room had the private pool facing the desert, but it doesn’t feel that private because you can see and hear the neighbors, which wasn’t a major concern.
The pools were very relaxing and mellow. There is a pool with more music and party vibe if that’s what you’re looking for but also a more quiet pool. Cabanas are free and the sunbeds were very comfortable with nice big umbrellas.
Now not everything is perfect and the following is something you should consider before booking this resort
1. Transportation: one of the biggest inconveniences of this resort is you MUST request a taxi when leaving the resort. Ubers are not allowed into the property when being requested but they are able to drop you off. The taxis are significantly more expensive than Ubers, so I feel that this puts their guests at a disadvantage.
2. Location: Nobu is located within the Diamanté properties, along with the Hard Rock Hotel. You are much farther than the rest of the resorts and downtown Cabo than the other resorts. Once you reach the entrance to the diamanté properties, your driver has to go for another 10-15 minutes from twisty roads. I know this isn’t Nobu’s fault but the ride from the entrance to the Nobu hotel can be uncomfortable. So if you plan on staying here, don’t plan on a lot of outside activities.
3. Noise: the floors are all tile (hallway and rooms), so everything that happens in the hallway you immediately hear it in your room. It can be a normal conversation or a child crying. If you’re a light sleeper this might bother you if you’re trying to sleep in. Not a total deal breaker but something to consider.
Overall it was a great experience and I can’t wait to be back.

Nobu Los Cabos Residences are the most comfortable, clean, beautiful accommodations our family has had for a vacation! Everything about this resort is wonderful. Food, staff, service, ambiance, spa, and activities around the property like billiards and pickleball are all great. Genuinely, every single person our family has encountered this week has been wonderful.
Cleanliness / maintenance is an important factor for me because there is nothing, in my opinion, that ruins vacationing more than ants and critters, dirty furniture, smelliness, and dustiness in the room and overall property. It ruins the vibes, especially when you’re paying top dollar somewhere! Nobu Los Cabos luckily has NONE of the above! Everything is absolutely pristine. The property is gigantic and mostly outdoor, and somehow none of the floors spanning acres and acres are dirty or wet. All areas smell and look good all the time. I also observe no bugs and critters which is impressive because everything is open to the outdoors. The housekeeping and maintenance staff are top notch!
I have to give a major shoutout to our residence services manager, Stephano, and the manager Senen! Both of these guys are top tier. Not only are they extremely friendly and helpful, but their experience shines through in their responsiveness and recommendations. They both have extremely positive vibes and it is obvious that they take a ton of pride in their work here at Nobu.
I love that from the moment our car drops us off at the resort, we have access to an expert. Texting with Stephano about coordinating taxis, reservations, spa appointments, pickleball, and much more is a breeze. Our family jokes that we don’t have to worry about anything during our stay - not even using our brains, because Stephano seems to be doing all the thinking for us! :) It would be a privilege if Stephano got on our flight home with us and we adopted him into our family, he is that awesome! We will all miss him!
Shoutout also to the great people at the Residences desk who help book activities, as well as Fabiola and Nicole who are also now our family friends in Los Cabos! They make everything so nice and easy, and they help us make the most efficient use of membership perks. Extra bonus points for the incredibly high quality spa services at Esencia in the residence building! The best spa day of my life was here.
I will end my lengthy review with this… There is this expectation vs. reality dichotomy that exists when people think about family vacations. In a majority of cases, vacationing is a welcome change of pace from normal life, but can in many ways still be “work” and cause different stress. Nobu Los Cabos actually delivers that ideal, luxurious, stress-free experience everybody is chasing when planning a trip, every time! The entire place is stunning, but the people here really stand out. I appreciate how they make all my family members feel cared for. If you’re considering staying at Nobu, just go! You’ll love it, and you’ll be excited to come back!

Nobu is one of the most impressive hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The level of service is one of the highest I’ve ever seen. We had our own private concierge, Ignacio, who cared for our every whim. Made reservations, took care of transportation and made us laugh. He was always available either in person or by txt. He made the trip so much better. The Spa was wonderful. Food at Nobu was at a level of excellence I have rarely seen. Pools were crystal clear and loaded with staff ready with towels, iced water, drinks and food. Even sunscreen. I’m coming back!!!

Returning customer - loved it last time and food was even better this time, but service was sooo bad relative to expectations. Disappointing.

It’s a beautiful resort, however there are a lot of negatives.
I wanted to stay here for the more peaceful out of the way vibe & location, but upon checking in immediately we were met with a drone flying around. Buzzing over the hotel, the pool, the restauraunts. I thought ok maybe it’s just today. NOPE! Over the next few days several drones all over the property! Buzzing around your balcony, buzzing the pools, buzzing the beach…. This is a nuisance and not relaxing in anyway not to mention you have ZERO privacy unless you are in your hotel room with the curtains closed! I personally feel they should ban drones at resorts!
Then there is a fly issue! Major fly issue! I would be much happier if they had some fly catchers hanging around than seeing flies all over my food, drinks, tables, counters, bar, absolutely everywhere! It’s not very appetizing when you are spending money to relax and enjoy a vacation.
The food is ok…
The service is slow and lacking. We Requested an iron and took an hour we finally left to go to dinner with wrinkled clothes.
Overall I might stay here again but it won’t be my first choice in Cabo as it is extremely far and to get there you’re driving down dirt roads through apartment complexes golf courses and a maze of homes.
They do try to sell you just just be warned either you go to the presentation which takes about 3 hours from start to finish or you don’t that’s totally up to you. They will provide you breakfast, & spa services or $300 to spend on food and drinks. But then you will have yo be rude and say NO about 10,000 times so it depends on if you feel like wasting 3 hours of your vacation.
It’s a clean beautiful place just look past the drones and flies and you will love it!

Strange as it sounds, it’s not really that sort of beach. Given the intensity of the undercurrent of the Pacific surf, you can’t get within 100 feet of the shoreline as it’s sectioned off to protect you.
