El Encanto All Inclusive Resort at Hacienda Encantada is praised for its picturesque location near the marina, offering stunning ocean views. The property's cleanliness and well-maintained facilities receive high marks, as does the range of amenities, which include multiple pools and dining options. Guests enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music and festive decor.
While rooms are generally comfortable with impressive views, some guests report issues with maintenance. The service is highlighted as friendly, though occasional slow response times are noted. However, the 'all-inclusive' label has led to some dissatisfaction due to unexpected costs and pressure for timeshare presentations.

Our stay here was enjoyable thanks to the staff. While food and drink service could take a while at certain restaurants and pools, the staff was always friendly and eager to please, always smiling and helpful.
A few staff stood out: Jose at the concierge desk, Isabel at Il Forno, Samuel at Mestizo went above and beyond. Kristina in the lobby was friendly and efficient.
Rooms were large and comfortable, although noisy due to A/C and jacuzzi motors (the one above us was on 24/7 so there was never a quiet moment).
The ocean views from almost everywhere were dramatic and pleasant. The architecture was a nice modern take on the traditional hacienda style.
One thing we missed was shade. There were umbrellas by the pool, and a few palapa beds near one of the pools, but the oppressive heat requires something more effective than an umbrella. All the walkways were in full sun all day.
We also got really sick of being hit up repeatedly to attend a sales presentation for their timeshares.
We also frequently felt nickel-and-dimed. We had paid for the all inclusive, but not the *premium* all inclusive, which meant we were slightly limited in restaurants where we could eat and food/drinks we could order.
Every time you order food or drinks, you need to sign a receipt, which is another chance to tip, despite tips were supposedly already included. Do you tip on service? Or as a percentage of the ridiculously inflated prices ($4 for 330ml water)?
Note that you cannot swim in the ocean here, you need to take a taxi or Uber to a nearby beach. The resort actively discourages Uber in favor of private taxis that charge 2-3x more.
There is a free shuttle to/from the sister resort on the marina in Cabo San Lucas so you can spend a day or evening there and even take advantage of the all inclusive restaurants there, although the choices are Baja Lobster Co and Legends Sports Bar and 2 more.
It was a pleasant enough stay, although we probably wouldn't come back.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this resort for our one-week stay. I want to give special mention to a wonderful server, Isabel, who really made our days by the pool as memorable as possible. She really went over and above to please us. Overall, we had good service, but some of the servers seemed new, uncoordinated, or just ill-informed, such as, they did not know the catch of the day, at El Barolo. Almost regularly, when we asked for water with ice, we had to re-ask up to 4 times for the ice. My husband cannot eat spicy food, and when asked how spicy is the clam appetizer at Los Riscos, the server told my husband she did not eat clams, but it shouldn't be too spicy. He ordered it, and it WAS quite spicy. We had no problem booking where we wanted to go for dinner, but we did this a few days in advance. Most of the food was very good and we loved that you order only what you want. The views were amazing, the landscaping was beautiful, and the golf carts were prompt. Other issues we experienced was the bed and pillows were awful. I would have thought that a resort of this caliber would have better beds. Housekeeping staff must have kept the doors open while cleaning the rooms, letting in all of the mosquitos, who then had a field day on us while we were sleeping. The other thing we disliked is that the floors in our room were filthy, and I know they were mopped. My feet were filthy 20 minutes after having a shower and walking around in the room. We did not find any of the seating anywhere on the property to be comfortable, which was a very big disappointment, and there were insufficient numbers of sunbeds and umbrellas around the pools and this was considered off-season. At times, we went to the pool at 8:30am and all loungers were already reserved despite placards around that indicated that reserving loungers was not allowed, however, this was not enforced.

This resort got it right the entire stay. The check-in process was so smooth. Once the concierge discovered that my husband and I were celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary, they upgraded our room to a full suite that was the size of a small apartment! Complete with two master restrooms, a full kitchen and living area, double balconies, a jetted tub in the primary restroom in the bedroom. And the BED!!! It was so huge and comfy, I hated getting up! But I did get up because the oceanfront view was calling my name! The breakfast buffet was well appointed and Felipe made sure that I was well served. Guillermo, the bellman, was so kind and he took care of us with such a pleasant smile. The resort has something for everyone. It is family friendly, many people brought their children. Blanca, at the front desk made my check out seamless. And I hated leaving. But we are definitely planning to return again and again!

We were very excited to visit this resort. Unfortunately we left less than excited. The location is beautiful and can’t be beat! The staff were very nice and thoughtful. Upon arrival, we were checked in and told our room wasn’t ready, but we would be notified when it was. We never were. Our keys didn't work, we waited quite awhile for assistance. Thankfully, a room service employee had our name on a list or we might still be sitting on a bench waiting. After check in, of course we were hustled to schedule a vacation club” talk. Hard to avoid that scam. Makes it totally uncomfortable. Our luggage was delivered (after several calls) hours later. Bumpy start! We had the all-inclusive package and we were disappointed we did that. We never could find a great meal for what we paid and we are convinced the drinks are watered down. We’ve stayed at better in Cabo. This was disappointing.

Dear guest, We're truly sorry to hear about the disappointing experience you had during your stay with us. While we're glad you appreciated the beauty of our location and found our staff to be nice and thoughtful, it's disheartening to learn about the issues you encountered, such as the delay in room readiness, key card problems, and the inconvenience with luggage delivery. We understand your frustration with the vacation club presentation and apologize for any discomfort it may have caused. Regarding the all-inclusive package, we regret that it didn't meet your expectations. Your feedback about the meals and drinks will be shared with our team for improvement. We sincerely value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to better serve you in the future. If there's anything specific we can address or improve upon, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Sincerely, Nathasha Colin Management Team contenido@mexicograndhotels.com

To start off, I booked this trip about a month out from check in date. I booked through Expedia due to my platinum status.
Check in was a breeze super easy and everyone was helpful. At check in we were upgraded to the 2 bed room with a plunge pool and were assigned a butler by the name of Humberto! Let me tell you he was excellent. He did all my tour bookings and booked all my dinner reservations not only on the property but also at Rosa Negra! Humberto thank you for everything, you’ve made this experience wonderful. The bartenders/waiter especially Julian and Gustavo were amazing!! The staff for breakfast at Las Maria’s, from Wendy the hostess to Aristeo our waiter was very friendly and polite. They remembered our names and made this a very welcoming place. Our Dinner at Riscos was amazing and Miguel made the experience even better!
We booked here because we wanted to stay somewhere different. We’ve been to Cabo about 6 times now and we usually stay at Pueblo Bonito Sunset because of the rooms and food, but let me tell you this place blows them out of the water when it comes to food and hospitality! The rooms here are also very amazing and the house keepers are on it! The property itself is well maintained and it shows by the appearance of the property! They are continuously working behind to scenes on the up keep and we appreciate that. Shout to the Chef and his team and this has been one of the best resorts when it comes to the food, we we’re definitely blown away!
Like every review there has to be a bad side in which is subjective of course. Everything here closes by 10p except for the bar at il forno which is 11pm. But everything else is closed. The entertainment at night is non existent in which like I stated before is subjective, some people may want peace and quiet. There is however Rosa Negra at the entrance of the property which closes at 1am (beware it’s $$$ there). In conclusion this property is amazing and we are definitely coming back!! Gracias a todos!!

While a great time was had at Hacienda Encantada, and the majority of the staff and service was good, I would be remiss if I did not mention the instances of poor service. This varied from inexcusable to needs improvement. The two instances of inexcusable are as follows: 1) At the Barolo restaurant (which closes at 10pm and kitchen closes at 9:30pm) there is a woman gatekeeper who chooses to refuse service to customers and turns them away starting at 9:15pm. This wasn’t only my experience (twice) but that of other guests who I spoke with. This is beyond unacceptable. This employee, if they don’t want to work, should move elsewhere. Regardless, the management of the resort should rectify this situation and discipline or dismiss this employee. This is a premium resort and this sort of behavior should not be tolerated; 2) The concierge; overall they were helpful and courteous, but one particular morning (9:10am), I called to inquire information regarding the location of one of the activities which was taking place at the resort. I called and a woman on the phone told me that she did not know the location of the activity. This was disappointing, but could have been rectified has the concierge attendant take the time to find out the information. She did no such thing, instead she told me to dial 0 for the operator. This too is not the service or response I would expect from the concierge. The concierge is there to be of assistance, not to shirk responsibility. Note, that I was further dismayed when the operator gave me the wrong information.
Other than those two egregious and inexcusable scenarios, there were also some notable instances of other restaurant (Mestizo, Las Marias) serving staff being inattentive, and being disinterested. While off putting, this can be remedied if management were to ensure proper training and oversight.

Dear guest We are sorry that this system has become a little uncomfortable during your stay, we really do it with the sole purpose of making your vacation safe. Since the hotel has guests with the all-inclusive plan and guests with reservations only for lodging, it is necessary to corroborate this information every time you request food to avoid extra charges to your account that should not be. On the other hand, we hope that you visit us again in this paradise. Regards, Social Media Department, socialmedia@mexicograndhotels.com

The service in all the restaurants was amazing. The all inclusive plan and then adding the premium plan to all the exclusive was disappointing. When they say everything is included no matter if it’s lobster, any steak, any top shelf alcohol is not true. We spent another almost $500 to upgrade our all inclusive and got told on several occasions at different places that what we wanted was not included in our plan.

We're still here but we're enjoying ourselves immensely. The food is good the views are exceptional and the service is fantastic. The only problem we've come across was with the in room jacuzzi, it took over two hours to fill, after that we lost the notion to use it. We're not doing any excursions, we're just enjoying the holtel amenities. We're happy we chose this place. We ate lunch by the pool at Encanto De LA Hacienda and the food was delicious. My partner had the tuna salad which was perfect. I indulged in the steak tacos. To drink we had the "Cadillac Margarita" and then we took a meat pizza to the room which was destroyed by the ants. You really can't avoid them, no matter where you go. We're going to try again today. Cross your fingers. My partner had some of the last one and trust me, he loved it! Our server's name was Francisco and he was phenomenal. He made crafted us a specialty drink that would knock your socks off. Very attentive and kind. Today our server is Jaime and he too so very accommodating and made us feel special. We'll definitely be back to this hotel.

The best part about this resort are the employees, they are so attentive and kind and they deserve to work at a place where the state of the facilities and the management are better than what they are. We booked the all inclusive package and from the moment of check-in the experience was bad. They guided us to a person that we thought was the concierge and would help us with restaurant reservations, but instead we were pressured to take a tour presumably to purchase a timeshare. He was so pushy it was uncomfortable, even after letting him know multiple times we were not interested he continued, finally we had to be blunt about not wanting any part of it so he could let us get on our way.
The suite we booked had all sorts of problems from a facility standpoint- the patio door didn’t have a lock, a rail the bathroom fell off at the touch, and we were locked out of our room one evening and the hotel staff couldn’t open it they had to climb from another guests balcony into ours to unlock the door and the door still wouldn’t open with a key.
As if that wasn’t bad enough when we brought this to the attention of management they didn’t follow the simplest of service recovery. They never apologized and just said they would fix it. They finally offered us a different room and while it was a nicer room the managers attitude was rude, uncaring and had a lack of empathy. I would have been happy if he had displayed a more caring attitude, at that point it wasn’t about getting a nicer room but their lack of care. This is not a resort I would return to.
