Paulina, Jorge, grita, Diego, and Itzel were amazing activities directors by the pool. They were always engaging the kids and family to participate in games and fun! Bingo, ping pong, bocce, blackjack, cornhole and more games!!! Water slides were highlight for our kids and main draw to come to the resort. Rope swing was cool also. Pool is not a pool but lagoon of salt water…very different but cool concept.
Roberto and Sebastian were absolutely amazing by the kids pool and cabana service. They made the whole family feel at home.
Jorge and Jose at Anica were great servers and engaging at breakfast. They catered to every need.
Food and service were solid. We did not do the all inclusive package because we are not big drinkers or wanting to be tempted to over eat. Pricing is fair but not cheap…all relative.
Location is destination bound since you are about 30 min away from downtown and 10 minutes to get from hotel to main highway alone.
We brought our ESA dog and had called ahead to get clearance. Upon checkin, it was a big ordeal and sadly the management made us feel a bit unwelcome because of his presence. Over time, the other staff members/not management told us to bring the family together and come to the pool, etc. didn’t bring him to meals and ate in the room a few nights to be together. Not pet friendly from management but staff were.
Would come back again if they made it more comfortable for our esa dog.

First of all, know that ALL residences at this location are labeled "Penthouse", but most are actually not, which should be more clearly stated.
Aside from being in the "Interval" exchange unit in building K on the bottom floor, with no view of the ocean at all, the 2 bedroom condo we were given was very nice and well appointed (no dishwasher or laundry in unit though). Being virtually brand new, everything is clean, and built with high quality including the windows which effectively isolated us from all the daily construction noise from the new building going up literally next door. In fact, it appears that only half of the planned resort has been completed to date, so construction will likely be going on for many years to come.
Our unit was in building K which is the furthest from the main pool/lagoon, and had no separate adjacent smaller pool as do most of the others residence buildings, but the property is relatively well laid out and within 5-10 mins you can walk just about anywhere. I would not recommend this location for anyone with disabilities however, as there are several grades to traverse.
As I mentioned before, the quality of all the construction and architecture as well as landscaping (although still immature and primarily cactuses and palms) is exceptional!
So was the service we received, especially from housekeeping and the wait staff. Special mentions go out to Itzel and Veronica who both provided exception nanny services for us, as well as our bellman/valet Alphonso!, and all of the Kids Club Staff!
The culinary offerings were also quite good and reasonable considering that you have an all inclusive option, but read the fine print. We tend to dine off property in Cabo at some of our favorites most nights, so the meal plan wasn't for us. Also Picaro at Rancho San Lucas is very good with a unique take on "farm to table". Enjoyed an after dinner drink by the fire pit at Anica... it was chilly most evenings in mid March!
The watersides and kayaking in the lagoon were major hits for our daughter! Beware, the water in March is cold and we ourselves did not spend any time in the pools! Unfortunately, as for most of Cabo the ocean is not swimmable due to the strong current and riptides. The optional lagoon side cabanas are great, and only require a reasonable food/liquor consumption based on occupancy.
The resort is location is quite remote, several miles North of Cabo central, and although they provide an hourly shuttle to their sister resort at Lands End, a rental car is highly recommended if you plan any off site activities/meals. You are approximately 30 mins from the SJD airport if you take the toll road ($5 cash each way).
Avoid the "free breakfast" sales pitch unless you have half a day to kill. We politely declined on check in and were not bothered any further. Also, there is no separate check in for members/owners so you may be standing in line for a while (this could be easily streamlined).
All in all a very relaxing Spring Break that we would repeat!

Housekeeping at Grand Solmar Lands End was superb. Our housekeeper Lliana (dont know her Spanish surname} was so flawlessly neat, left every room ready for our guests, for evening turndown, requests for additional supplies and amenities. We will ask for help again next year.

When booking, everything else was sold out or $1,000+ per night, so we essentially were forced to pick this place to stay. Talking to guests, it appears that is a theme.
Incredibly unhelpful staff and management. The food is BAD. They called our room 20 times at 8am the day of checkout to ask when we were checking out (we only stayed one night). And then put “optional” charges on our bill that I happened to notice and they then removed.
The resort itself is like a cheesy Disneyland - huge compound with pools, but zero beach chairs or authentic Mexico feel.
Again - if there is an option to stay anywhere else, I would take it.

Dear guest First of all, we appreciate your visit, and we regret that it was not to your liking, the rates that you mention are based on the availability of our units and perhaps the ones with the most affordable price were sold out, for which reason we had units left. big space. Our hotel has nothing to do with Disney and regarding the comment made that we do not have beach chairs, the Resortr has more than 500 lounge chairs, chairs and very large areas, therefore we have capacity and offer comfort to everyone. Maybe the type of property has not been to your liking and we apologize for it, hoping we can also count on your understanding, one night to evaluate the service and facilities at least is not enough, however we will always work to offer the best for all our visitors Thank you

We had our first 4 days at Rancho San Lucas. It is a beautiful property that continues to grow and be more beautiful. We enjoyed both restaurants on property. We were a bit disappointed that the lunch option was limited to pool side service and no sit down restaurant style. We had a beautiful room and saw whales each morning as we drank our coffee on the lanai. The only problem is housekeeping does not understand that do not disturb actually means don’t enter the room if the sign is on the door. Other than that, we had a great time.

I have been coming to this hotel with my wife, kids, family, and friends for the past 5 years, and it continues to exceed our expectations. It never fails to impress! The meal plan is an absolute must, as the food is truly exceptional and deserves a 5-star rating. Whether it's the delicious breakfast, appetizers by the pool, or the exquisite dinners, every meal is a culinary delight.
I want to give a special shout-out to Gerardo Lira, the Front Desk Manager. Gerardo truly went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was unforgettable. He took care of all our room arrangements, assisted with reservations, and even provided guidance when we needed to visit another hotel. His dedication and attentiveness were truly remarkable and contributed greatly to our overall experience.

The outdoor activity coordinators at Grand Solmar Rancho San Lucas are the BEST! Esmeralda, Rita, Mariam, Nirvana, Itzel, Carla and DJ Ulises made sure we had fun during water aerobics, pool volleyball, the beach games, etc. Jennica made sure all of the kids are safe in the water slides. They made our Cabo vacation so much fun!!!

Loved the resort. The massage was amazing! Janet a d Jose at the sunset bar were the best. And the food was good. We've been to a ton of resorts, most.of the food is bland at nest, but overall the food is delicious here. I took it down a star because after our 3rd night here, we started getting a slight septic smell in our room and the tv in one if the bedrooms did not work. We did some remote working so it was noticeable. Otherwise it wasn't an issue since on the days we weren't working remotely, we were ourside. The Sunset Bar is GREAT. Ask for Janet!!!!!!

From the moment we got here we felt so welcomed by the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We loved hanging around the kid pool area with our two children. We were immediately greeted by an amazing waiter named Baltazar. He is always so attentive and friendly. He helps carry our bags to our chairs and grabs towels before we even ask. He is such a blessing to have during our stay. He makes coming back to our favorite place so enjoyable!! So thankful for everyone at Rancho!! Keep up the amazing work!! You Rock!! :)

Rafael Hernandez was attentive, personable and very accommodating. He was our server for the week at breakfast and always remembered our names, favorite drinks and food items. His hospitality was unmatched and we look forward to coming back and seeing him. Thank you Rafael!
Alejandro was our server for a birthday dinner event we had and he made sure we had a fabulous dinner, helped us arrange mariachi for the birthday girl and made our experience fabulous!
And did I mention massage??? Alicia gave me the best massage I have had in my life! Deep, strong, yet gentle and intuitive with my body. I walked out of the spa like butter!

There’s a small market/deli on premises. They also provide a free shuttle in to town. There is not a proper grocery store within walking distance of the resort.
I am not sure and that probably changes week by week so you would be better off calling the resort directly and asking them for their current policy. They speak perfect English and are very helpful.
There are more places to choose from in the Cabo San Lucas area.
