I take myself on a solo "beachy" vacation once a year. I am incredibly discerning when choosing a location and Chileno Bay hit the mark by every meaningful metric.
The food was the best and most consistent I have ever experienced in a resort setting. Both Comal and Yaya have unique menus that are executed flawlessly. I had to flip a coin at one point to decide where I was going to have dinner, I liked them both that much. TNT is super fun with well above average tacos and excellent ceviche.
Pool area was relaxed but fun and lively. The staff here does not miss a beat. I was greeted by name, escorted to a bed with the desired sun exposure and never allowed to go without a drink in my hand. Worth the price of admission alone.
Rooms are gorgeous and well appointed. The private veranda and plunge pool was perfect.
Chileno Bay is expensive, but the value is extraordinary.
As virtually everyone has said, Chileno Bay has the benefit of the kindest, most attentive and genuinely helpful staff. They were just the sweetest people and made me feel so taken care of throughout my stay. Muchas Gracias. See ya soon.

From the minute we left the airport to the minute we were dropped back off at the airport everything was perfect and personalized. Paco and Alan with the concierge had the answer to any question. Andres at the pool provided very friendly and attentive service. Everyone where ever we went on the property new our name and that it was our anniversary. The resort provided many unique touches to make us feel special.

Chileno Bay is a beautiful, well maintained resort, but is overcrowded. The rooms are nice but extremely noisy and some can be quite far from the restaurants, pools and beach. They offer golf carts to shuttle you around and residents have their own golf carts, so beware of a lot of golf cart traffic as you’re walking. The pool service is very mediocre. The residents and frequent guests will get preferential treatment over you there and at the restaurants which is to be expected. Restaurants offered good food and service, especially TNT. We’ve experienced all the high end resorts in Cabo and I rank this one at the bottom of the list for the value. Try Las Venatas, Montage or One&Only for a better experience.

The Chileno Bay Resort is a gorgeous hotel and residence property, located on a safe, swimmable beach, views, beautiful and very well maintained grounds and architecture, well decorated and oversized rooms with outdoor showers, outstanding and courteous service, very attentive and well trained staff, excellent dining options, high quality and clean workout facilities, daily fitness classes included, and an excellent spa. Our mornings having breakfast gazing at the oceanfront view was the perfect start to our day. I actually would rate Chileno Bay SIX stars, and my wife and I visit every year. Don’t miss the Comal chicken dish for dinner in the premier Comal restaurant. The resort has it all, and is highly recommended for a very memorable experience in Cabo San Lucas.

My wife and I had never been to Baja California or the Cabo area and we were told Chileno Bay Resort was one of the best experiences to be had there. The resort and specifically the resort staff lived up to that expectation. From the moment we arrived we were attended to and made to feel like anything we needed would be taken care of.
The amenities were spectacular, specifically the ocean view condo we stayed in. Again, the layout and detail of the condo exceeded our expectations and made the stay that much more enjoyable.
All of the resort staff was exceptional in their attention to our needs, the restaurants and food was excellent, and the beach/views were better than we could have asked for. Our favorite activity (which also was the best value on money spent in our opinion) was the private beach dinner just behind the main pool. This dinner really was the highlight of our trip and given the chance, we'd do it again.
Lastly, Ms. Fernanda was amazing! She was extremely personable and attentive to my wife and I and we feel she went out of her way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and taken care of. My wife and I would like to personally express our gratitude to Ms. Fernanda and ensure management understands that her role in our stay at Chileno Bay was instrumental in our ability to relax and enjoy what the resort had to offer.
We are already looking forward to the next time we can travel to the Cabo area and stay at Chileno Bay, because in my opinion, there probably isn't a better place to vacation at in the area.

A beautiful resort with spacious rooms, and an outdoor shower in each room (you could hear the birds singing from your shower) that made waking up extra special. It is so clean and the staff is so friendly. TNT (taco restaurant at the resort) is a must! Those tacos are unbelievable. The concierge is excellent as well. They helped me plan my whole itinerary (transport included) and booked all the restaurants for me. It really felt like a vacation because of them.

Chileno Bay Resort is modern luxury! We came to celebrate our anniversary and the trip exceeded expectations. Our concierge Gerardo Cardon helped us secure dinner reservations and safe and prompt rides to all our destinations around town. Ya Ya was the best restaurant on property in our opinion and ate there multiple times. Salads and pizzas are so tasty! Our server, Jose and intern Sophia at YaYa made the experience extra special with the upmost hospitality! The spa at the resort is out of this world! Arecely provided my service and she could not have been kinder and more talented. I chose the metabolic melt which consisted of a facial, detoxing body wrap and a massage. I was more relaxed than I’ve ever been after leaving the spa! Highly recommend! Each day at the pool we experienced a level of service that was above and beyond. Andres and Dennis were two staff members of many who remembered our drinks and were always there when we needed anything! Tacos and guacamole by the pool from TNT bar were outstanding. I did lose my book by the pool one day and a sweet concierge Narda helped me get a free download of the book and texted it to me so that I could finish it! We also ate one night at Comal and felt the restaurant might have been a bit understaffed because we did not experience the same level of service that matched the rest of the resort. Food was good if you are more of a foodie type and those that are more adventurous in their pallet. Our guest room was a good size and bed was very comfortable and toiletries smelled amazing. We had a beautiful ocean view! We got breakfast room service each morning and food was on time, hot and accurate. It was a perfect way to start the day! Overall our trip was one of the nicest, most special and most relaxing we’ve ever had. Would love to return one day soon!

Chileno Bay resort is paradise. From the grounds to the rooms, it exceeds expectations — until they start hammering and banging away. The last 3 days of our vacation, we were unable to walk to our room because they had blocked off an an entire path near the pool. Additionally, they blocked off the entire left side of the view from the infinity pool to resurface the floor. It’s understandable to see a little construction to maintain a property of this magnitude, but during our stay it was beyond what we believe is reasonable to still offer up the allure of paradise.

We stayed at the Chileno Bay Resort for a week. This beautiful resort is incredible, it is well designed, there are three gorgeous long swimming pools one after the other offering a view of a small beach and the ocean. You feel close to paradise. The entire staff is very friendly, we did not see one person not smile and greet us as we walked around. Everything feels highly personalized and people welcome you by name. Our concierge, Rocio set-up everything we wanted before our trip and during our stay, she would come by the pool to ask how things were going and if we needed anything else. The rooms were large with extra comfortable beds and Illy coffee machines for the morning wake-up. The fitness center is super clean with staff there to clean machines after they have been used, it is indoor/outdoor and overlooks the pools and the ocean. On the public beach, the resort has Monica running the activity center H2O with everything from Kayaking, snorkeling, Snuba, E-Foil,... Monica is very talented and will teach you any of these sports and she is very patient and very good with children.

Beach/resort wear is totally fine at the restaurants. Some people dress up in sundress or button down shirt + shorts but others come in their swimwear with cover ups. A beachy vibe at all venues.
I would say an average meal per person is around
$ 50 to $75 and more; depending if it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everything is a bit price but food and drinks was great.
There are more places to choose from in the Cabo San Lucas area.
