Stayed here in the summer of 2019- three generations: kids (3 and 5), parents and grandparents in one of the three bedroom cottages.
We loved it. Great location- close to Cavendish area without being right in it.
Lots of grass for the kids to run around when hanging out, great pool and little play area.
Cottage had everything we needed as we did some meals there.
(It was our first visit to PEI and we cant’t wait to comeback!)

We stayed at this resort on our first trip to PEI in early August. The resort is conveniently located very close to Cavendish (10 mins), and not very far from Summerside and Charlettetown either. From the outside, the resort is picturesque, however the rooms, although quite big, are a bit dated. The beds were extremely soft. Other than the pool and hot tub, there isn't much for kids to do, but we spent most of our days away from the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel (Sutherlands) is very good. My wife loved the seafood chowder!

We had occasion to stay here and were the only people in the building. So, it was very quiet and comfortable. We had the bridal suite and the bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets smelled fresh and were very soft.
It was a bit of a strange room though as the windows were in the sitting area of the room and not by the bed. We like fresh air for sleeping and wished that the bed had been in the back area, rather than by the door.
The decors in the room and in the halls was pink and green and screams 1980 - 1990's. The foyer however, has been redone and is nicely updated.
Breakfast was included with our room and was very good. It consisted of yogurt and breads as well as muffins. However there was no fruit offered.
The front office staff was mostly very friendly and helpful and we thank them for making our stay comfortable.

Stayed at the resort Inn for a wedding for two nights this past weekend. The Inn is affected by the worker shortages, for sure. The individuals who work there that we encountered were lovely but they did not have enough staff to open the food services so we had to travel to find breakfast and other meals. The Inn and cottages is such a lovely place in a prime location and has such potential but it is suffering from neglect and lack of aesthetic investment. They have dated carpets and furniture and you can tell no one has made much of a change since my last stay in 2001. The rooms were big, the A/C blew cold (a bit noisy), the beds were comfy and it was definitely clean. Upgraded paint, floors, towels, and toiletries with some attention to the infrastructure's exterior would bring it back to its former glory and might draw year-round attention. It seems to me the owner is running it into the ground and it is limping along to get as much out of it without putting more into it. The sign said no vacancy the whole time we were there but it did not look like there were many guests so I think that they are running it lean due to not enough staffing. My guess is that the limited staff in hospitality are working for more modern and up to date buildings that run services where tips are more possible. Working in an empty hotel that is a shadow of its former glory is not rewarding for anyone.
Overall, I was happy to find a place to stay on short notice. I felt the price did not match and we were overcharged for what we got.
I will be sad to see this resort decline as it is inevitable to do the way it is currently being managed.

I stayed in one of the 3-bedroom cottage along with my friends as we were visiting maritime from Ontario in August 2023. Very comfortable unit for a group of 8 adults. Cabins were immaculately clean and the customer service was exceptional as they specially arranged food for us after 11 pm on a rainy night. The beds were comfortable and abundant of parking. The designated bonfire set up was an add on and would highly recommend this facility. Will be back again in future.

I stayed at this Resort back in 2000. It was lovely then.
2023 August was not the same experience. This place is completely run down. No services what so ever. Very strong smell of Body Oder through building. We stayed in the Lodge and had friends in the cabins. Cabins also completely run down. Cabins not clean and rooms not clean. Dead bugs and urine stains on toilet seat. AC in most rooms not working. Friends that stayed in the cabin couldn’t get the bedroom door open to get out. It only opened from the outside.
They appear to be lacking staff.
No menu for food. Went down for breakfast, no one there. Man at front desk turned on the dining room light and gave me a few choices on how I could have my eggs, choice of sausage or ham, hash browns and one piece of toast. (No other choices made available to me).
This place should not be called a Resort and way overpriced.
I will say the bed was comfortable.

Don’t even bother staying here, not worth the money or the headaches involved with this place. All the comments about outdated are 100% accurate, but that’s so far down the list on the issues with this so-called “resort”. Good luck trying to cancel rooms, get a hold of anyone, or get any type of service. The A/C in my room didn’t work, the building smells like extremely bad BO, when I first tried to get in my bed the first night my sheets smelt like BO. Finally, to really put into perspective the lack of service at this place, my senior aunt was staying in a separate room and her shower wasn’t working. The front desk gave her a set of pliers to fix the shower herself. Safe to say that shower still isn’t fixed, and for the rest of her trip she needed to use other family members rooms to simply shower. If you stay here, you will regret it.

This was the worst place we have ever stayed in. The pictures of this place should be taken down as they do not represent anything close to what this place looks like now. "Total false advertisement. " Smelly, so outdated, nothing worked, no restaurant service, no staff, like walking into a dark cave, grounds unkept, overpriced, really nothing positive to say. We had travelled to go to a wedding nearby and had no time to find other accommodations. Do not stay here.!!!

My hotel reviews have been always fair as I acknowledge the good service and the quality of the place.
I wrote 2 excellent reviews in 2012 regarding one hotel in Barcelona and another one in Porto.
As we were invited to attend a wedding at Prince Edward Island, we booked a room at Stanley Bridge Country Resort (recommended by the hosts) about 5 weeks before arrival. We were expecting a nice stay based on the reviews posted on Trip Advisor but unfortunately this did not happen.
We arrived at the hotel about 3 hours before the event and were assigned Room 308. When we went to the room, we found that the bed was situated in a confined space between two near walls that is not good for someone having "claustrophopia". We explaind the situation to the receiptionist (i believe she was the front desk manager-no need to mention the name) and asked for another room but she indicated that the hotel was completely booked. We believe that it was true due to the number of guests at the wedding. However, we suggested to switch our room with other guests who have not shown up by that time since guests are not told their room number before arrival but she refused. Her excuse was that differnt guests made different requests but we asked her to change it with a similar description and not trying to change apples with oranges. She could have done but she was not flexible.
Due to the short period before the wedding and there were only a few hotels/motels open at that time in PEI, we had no choice except to stay the night there (she tried to find us another hotel nearby).
After we returned from the wedding reception around 11:30 p.m. we found the toilet was not flushing as the chain was broken. Given that we were tired and were ready to go to bed, we did not ask for someone to fix it but we have to do it manually by inserting our hands in the dirty tank to flush it. Moreover, the room was warm and we decided to turn on the AC but it was quite noisy (too much banging). We prefered to turn it off and sleep in a very uncomfortable atmosphere.
As other guests mentioned, the hotel is outdated but it was not a concern for us as it was a stay for one night only. We were surprised to find no empty glasses in the room. The only good thing at the hotel was the free internet connection that helped me to kill the time when woke up at the middle of the night due to the uncomfortable sleep. The room reasonably clean.
My big disappointment was when we checked out in the morning. When we told the same receptionist our problems with the toilet and the AC, she noted them down in her book but she did not even offer one word of apology. We are puzzled as to why she behalved in as not accommodating and not apologoatic.
The hotel management should provide their staff with workshop on management and communication skills. We stay at hotels very often but have not experienced such poor guest relations.
we will never stay in this place again.
