Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friend and I stayed here for one night on a hiking trip to La Gomera. The setting was completely stunning and we’d really recommend the hotel but wanted to share some information about eating in the local area. First off the hotel serves breakfast at 830am provided there are enough guests (we think this means 4 plus guests). If there aren’t enough guests breakfast is served at the bar which is just across the road from 930am. Secondly dinner- the bar across the road is open until 430pm and serves food. From what we could work out if there are people in the bar it stays open later eg 430pm is the last time you can order food by, you don’t need to have finished dinner by then. If this doesn’t work for you there are buses to the nearby town (though we didn’t try these) or you can buy basic supplies (eg pot noodles etc) at the hotel. We hope this information is useful- for us planning ahead about food was a small price to pay for staying in such an amazing location.

This is a great location, wonderful views, nice rooms, nice dining room, good starting place for hiking.

BUT

If there are only a few guests you will have no service at all. No breakfast, no dinner, no room service. You don’t even see anyone from the hotel. The only bar in Imada opens at 10:30 (too late for hiking) and closes at 16:00 (too early for dinner). So if you don’t have a car, you are lost.

If you go there, please ask in advance if they will offer breakfast and dinner! Otherwise go somewhere else for example to Alajero.

A gorgeous rural hotel. The room and bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean. There should have been fantastic views but unfortunately the cloud had descended for the night we were there. A lovely place and great wi-fi as well. Very friendly hostess. Would definitely recommend

Imada is a little hamlet hanging on the southern slopes of the central mountains. The mar de nubes barely overflows the ridges above it. The view of the Roque de Imada and the Atlantic in the distance is unique. I would have spent hours at the terrace of my room just looking. Also, the town is conveniently located at the center of the island. A 10 minute drive takes you to the intersection with GM2, and from there anywhere. Of course, if you need to buy food or medicines or if you want a nice dinner you have to drive to Alajeró (10 minutes) or to Playa de Santiago (20 minutes). But for sure, if I go back to la Gomera, I will go to this hotel again.
