Poor WiFi , frustrating to say the least. At $300 a night you would think the room would shine. Not so, needed a refresh at least a paint job.location on the beach is great. The front pool was always cloudy, needed more attention with the proper chemicals. The larger pool was great. You would think being a nude hotel that proper etiquette would prevail. Sitting naked on chairs and loungers is a norm. But like most of Mexico there are no standards.

The hotel is good and with easy access into the room. I would have liked to have more furniture to put my things since there are only two very small nightstands the size smaller than my iPad. My bathroom didn't have a door and I saw other rooms if they did. The food is good but it is very expensive compared to literally restaurants outside the hotel.

I loved the location
The DJ on the days we were there was great
The delicious food
excellent staff service
They will give us free upgrade to a better room
What I didn't like was that I requested one more night and they asked me to pay for it when I returned and when I returned they no longer had availability and I had to stay in another hotel

The relaxed atmosphere they have created on their website is a stark contrast to the noisy misery we have found ourselves in. There is a kind of division in guests: on the one hand, the guests who stay in the overpriced hotel because they can recreate naked throughout the hotel, and on the other hand, the ordinary people who are attracted by the terribly loud music that plays from two o'clock in the afternoon and echoes through the hotel until 11 o'clock at night.

It is very clear that the hotel wants to make money from the day guests who spend the whole day (often in swimwear) getting drunk in the pool with loud house music - and if you are unlucky the receptionist will be shouting into the microphone for hours because she thinks that she's an MC. Ordinary beer drinking games and run-down “sexy” dance competitions are played with the day guests to entertain them.

But you don't see the guests who pay a lot of money to stay in the hotel: they flee from the hotel all day or lie on their terrace with noise-canceling headphones. It is really rude and incomprehensible how you really dont care at all about to your paying hotel guests and let them sit in the noise all day until 11 o'clock. Taking a nap in your room during the day is impossible, because the music is so loud that it permeates the room and earplugs don't help with that.

The food in the restaurant takes forever and when you get the bill after mediocre service, you are also half forced to choose from the percentage tip: as if you have no choice.

The WiFi is really terrible, so for important things I went to the cafe around the corner, because you can't get any further than sending a text message.

We had booked a “suite”, but the definition of a suite is two separate spaces: living and sleeping. but this was an outdated room without a sitting room or sitting facilities: the bed is made of wooden planks, tufts of dust under the bed, no decent curtains (so woke up early due to the sun), an open bathroom/toilet so all odors directly in the bedroom, overdue maintenance and windows whose rebate still needed to be finished.

Far from a suite and absolutely not worth the €190 per night! my advice to this hotel: focus on what you started this hotel for: a place where nudists and naturists can enjoy their holidays freely. It is now a big vulgar disgusting fair that has nothing to do with nudism at all! Really a shame for such a beautiful place.

This was our first stay in Zipolite and although we loved the entire area, we will NEVER ever go back to Nude. The service is absolutely awful in the bar and restaurant. Most people complained about the music, which we expected the week of the festival but the following week it was loud at random times. We never had hot water for more than a few minutes and that was 5 days into our stay when we finally got some. They kick you out of the pools at 10-11 depending on how many people are there it seems. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall randomly twice and bruised my foot. I can’t express how slow and terrible the service was, despite how good we tipped. They never checked to see if you needed anything once your food was delivered or you got your first drink. Getting the bill was like pulling teeth, taking upwards of an hour at one point. There are SO many better options in the area. This hotel is in desperate need of better management.

From checking in, to the upkeep, to the food, there was nothing impressive about this place. The music was blasting from the second we got there to the point I couldn’t even nap in my room because I could feel the base even with the doors closed.

Then the power in the room went out, which would have been a blessing if all the power had gone out to shut the music off, but unfortunately, just the room lost it.

The lunch was not appetizing at all, the salad took at least 10min longer to come out after a burger made it to the table, both just barely edible.

Checkin, we were given no information about the premise and what “event” may have been even going on to justify the excessively loud music. There was only one towel available to each of us to be used for shower and beach.

Never again staying here especially after finding out the room was $200+ a night. We ended up leaving by 7pm because the whole experience was unbearable. We were told the music wasn’t usually like that, but it was because of an event…as you will see from the picture, not many people were even there from when we checked in till when we left.

Completely unacceptable and unprofessional on all fronts.

The hotel was great two years ago. The food and staff were acceptable this trip. That’s the end of the good. The owners 25 year old-ish daughter was having a birthday party for 25 “non-nude” friends and their infant children. Being nude at a “nude hotel” was uncomfortable given these guests. The LOUD music started each morning and continued until 11pmish each day. Room #39 was in disrepair. Seldom had hot water. The bathroom mirror had fallen off the wall and was two feet too low sitting on the sink. The shower wall repair was awful. The drain cover was not attached and left a dangerous hole. One night stand was missing. There are no shelves anywhere for your clothes. The manager agreed to let us check out two nights early and give us a refund for the two nights. Five weeks later we’ve yet to see the refund. Fortunately I recorded a video with the manager offering our two nights money back. I’ve forwarded it to Citibank as they will take care of the refund. Best to skip this property until it is remodeled.

The setting and people here are very nice, but the music is VERY loud and can go late into the night. Two days in row we wake up with no water running through the pipes or toilet. Wifi is very sketch. Comes and goes but mostly goes. Apparently, the new management have taken this into a noisy techno dance hotel. Sad.

Noisy awful music all day long makes enjoying this place impossible. Trashy crowd too. It makes it impossible to enjoy the serenity of Zipolite. Quite a weird policy as most of the guests complain about the music but the hotel persists in playing it.

This will have been our 6th stay at Nude in Zipolite. In the last 5 stays it was very good except sometimes no hot water. Our 6th stay was very disappointing to say the least. The very loud music started everyday at 1:00 pm and ended around 9-10 pm . Staying in our room was unbearable. The bass was so loud the doors were rattling. When we complained about the noise we were told the owner likes it. I’m guessing he expects all the quests to like it too. I worked in the hotel business and this owner has no clue how to run a hotel. It’s not about him, it’s about the guests. Saturdays are the worst!! Just when we thought the noise was subsiding, the Naked Hotel next door started their party that lasted until 1:30 am. Zipolite was known for total serenity. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. We observed a very empty beach in front of Hotel Nude and the Naked Hotel whenever the loud music was playing. So if you want peace and solitude I would recommend staying away as far as possible from these two hotels. If this trend continues Zipolite will become another Cancun.

1) No it is not allowed. This is a nudist not a lifestyle resort. 2&3) Yes you can wear little or nothing in the restaurant. They generally don't care. 4) You could have open door sex, but no one would see you if you are in any of the 2nd floor rooms. Don't expect any visitors or watchers, it is not a lifestyle hotel. Balconies - you would have some privacy with the Ocean view rooms and Suites - no privacy with pool view rooms. Ground floor pool view rooms would not be allowed as they are right at the pool.

No, $300 was stolen from my purse inside my locked hotel room. They also don’t check cameras or issue refunds to guests who get robbed in their room.

Not really the best coastline for that, I’d say. Water is very turbulent. Belize or the Quintana Roo coast. Calmer water, amazing coral reef. Way better than Australia.
