I can't say enough about how great our stay was there. Our 3 bedroom condo was great, each room had bathroom, it had nice kitchen and balcony. We were a group of 8, 2 moms and 6 teenagers. Our teens loved the balcony and also liked to hang out at the roof top lounge area. The staff was very nice and helpful, always available at the front desk. We got to know them quickly and it made it more personal that way, because we felt like we had local friends to help us figure out things. It was very helpful for have unlimited amount of water in the water container in the kitchen. It was nice to have rooms cleaned daily. Simona was amazing, she was patient and tireless in answering many of my questions. She arranged for a driver for 2 days to take us to Cenotes, Tulum and Akumal. She arranged for a cook to prepare delicious local dishes and helped so I could order online groceries to be delivered to the condo. We enjoyed Kool Beach Club for 3 days of our stay, you can get a coupon for a discount at the front desk. We enjoyed our NY Eve Party with dinner at Zenzi beach club. Thank you for everything!!! PS. Bring our own snorkeling equipment with you if you plan to snorkel few times, it will help you too keep pesos in your pocket :)

This is a great value hotel with an excellent location just a block or so from a lively beach and a half block from the bustling 5th avenue, packed with restaurants, night clubs, money changers, and shops selling tequila, souvenirs, pharmacies and whatever else you may need. We stayed for four nights, two in essentially a classic hotel room with a balcony and hammock, and two in a garden bungalow, also with an outdoor seating area and hammocks. The spacious bungalow is a much better experience. The pool and jacuzzi are lovely and never crowded. The front desk will provide chairs and an umbrellas for the beach. Front desk staff, especially Manuel, are extremely helpful and will share tips on restaurants nearby and on getting to Tulum and Coba without having to go with expensive tour operators. They can also arrange tours if that is your preference. All-in-all, staying in the Riviera Maya Suites proved to be an excellent experience.

We just stayed at riviera maya suites for 4 nights as we were in playa del Carmen for a wedding. We booked a basic double and our room was spotlessly clean, supplied with toiletries and fridge and cleaned daily. It was handy having refillable water bottle with a water tap on the corridor outside. It was what we expected for a basic double the only slight issues were that the room had a stro g damp smell which remained the whole time we were there, and we weren't able to use the safe because they didn't have the lock to fit it. Our room was literally facing reception which might have bothered some people but, we weren't in the room much and only there a few days so it wasn't a problem. It also meant we weren't then so worried about being without the safe. The many plus points were the location - it is very close to 5th avenue but you can either walk down into the busier end or along to the quieter more relaxed endso it was really easy to walk to anywhere we wanted to go, including the beach. All the staff were very friendly and there is a great pool area with jacuzzi which was a real little haven from the busyness of the beach and playa del Carmen. There were really lush tropical gardens and plants everywhere, and a roof terrace which we used sometimes for chilling out in the hammocks or using the sunbeds up there. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay again ourselves if in the area, the garden bungalows looked gorgeous so would recommend booking one of those as an upgrade.

From the moment we arrived my family and I felt immediately at home and well looked after. The receptionist was warm and set us up with everything that we needed. He even booked antigen tests for the kids to be taken in our suite at our convenience. The location is ideal...right off of 5th, but not surrounded by bars so at night the noise was minimal. The beach is only a 7 minute walk which was great. The suite was clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the balcony overlooking the pool and garden was huge! Having a washer and dryer on site was very helpful as it was the last leg of our trip and we needed to do some laundry. If ever we come back to Playa del Carmen, we will be sure to stay at this property again!

We stayed with a child for a week in riviera maya suites in may 2021. The apartment is large and all rooms were able to cool down very quickly with the air conditioning. The aparment was fully equiped including good washing and drying machine. I was worried for noises during the night since it is so close to 5th avenue, but we didn't heard anything and were able to sleep fine. Very nice staff that is willing to help any time. The atmosphere in and around the hotel is very nice. A lovely garden.

Fantastic location just off 5th Avenue but very quiet. Free parking on site which was useful
Reception staff were super helpful and friendly - always happy to assist
We had a bungalow which was large, well equipped and extremely comfortable. There was a Kitchenette with all you need should you fancy self catering including a large butt of purified water to drink
The bed was very large and comfortable, shower and loo good and the whole place was immaculate. AC was quiet and efficient
The grounds were lovely and the pool area not bad at all with a number of sun beds and plenty of shade
Our terrace was big with two comfortable seats and a hammock. There was a little bit of four legged wildlife to see which was interesting. The windows and doors had mosquito nets which unfortunately were needed!!
The price for our 4 night stay was great value for money and I struggle to think we could have done any better at twice the price

I stayed three weeks in this place. It turned out to be a great choice: very central, very clean, nicely decorated, fairly quiet (in a lush garden) and having just about everything needed for housekeeping. I stayed three weeks and never had a problem. The pool was great to have (though a bit shorter and narrower than expected), but the beach is only 3 blocks away and 5th Ave only a block. Location could not have been better. Great restaurants abound and shopping isn't too far (Soriana is the closest large supermarket about 20min walk or MXN50 by cab). The staff was terrific and I single out Manuel, Ruben and the chambermaid Leidy Mendez who excels at towel art as well as cleans very thoroughly.

We had three nights in this nice resort and, though not perfect, it was very good and we enjoyed our time there. This is a crazy town in many ways and the suites offer a little respite from the fun and madness!
Location – very good indeed.
it is a two minute stroll to 5th Avenue and maybe 10 minutes to the beach. It does feel different than that though as it is in amongst gardens and can be quite serene at times. That isn't always the case though as it is surrounded by hotels that have DJs on and occasionally that can be quite noisy along with other residents.
Rooms – we had an upstairs suite and it was very comfortable indeed.
The shower wasn't great but we managed. The air conditioning was good enough, although the unit is in the main room rather than the bedroom. We asked for a fan to help but they didn't have one.
A nice touch is that in the kitchen and they provide a big Container of fresh water and this made a difference. There is a great fridge freezer and bits and pieces of kitchen equipment around the place.
The bed was quite comfy and we slept well generally. The best thing was the balcony though. It was more of a terrace actually with two hammocks on it and chairs on the table. We spent ages out here and it was very relaxing indeed for the most part.
Pool – small and enclosed by trees.
We didn't really use it as we discovered the roof terrace which was excellent. Not many people seem to use this, but it is a nice area where you can get sun or shade as you require.
The previously mentioned DJs at other hotels can drown things out a bit, but we just put a noise cancelling ear buds in and they helped a little.
They do provide beach chairs, but we didn't take them as they haven't got any umbrellas and there's no shade at the beach.

Honestly, I’d rate it 5 stars but it all depends on personal preference, this hotel is a quite well maintained somewhat traditional Mexican style with concrete/stucco walls, I personally prefer new and modern, where my wife prefers a more traditional style, we stayed in room 304 (three bedroom three bathroom) our room was very clean and had all the amenities we require. We only spent two nights in the room one of them being New Year’s Eve, 2023. As for a negative or suggestion it would be nice to have some sort of bathroom exhaust fan. I’m sure there’s nothing that can be done about this either but there were quite a few small bugs in the unit that decided that my wife was tasty. We did spend time on the rooftop shortly after midnight New Year’s Eve, where we took some good photos of the surrounding fireworks. We had minimal interactions with the staff, but what we had was very good, everyone was quite accommodating and pleasant.

I had a great stay here. The staff really went above and beyond. This is a great location to check out everything Playa Del Carmen has to offer. The hot tub, pool, and roof terrace are great. The grounds are very jungley - which was refreshing. They had hammocks, towels, and beach chairs available.
I had a small hiccup with my shower the first night probably around 10pm, the front desk quickly responded and maintenance was prompt - I didn’t expect the quick resolution/turnaround.
I was so impressed with my stay and 100% will book here again!

Thank you for your interest in our Penthouse, answering your question I let you know the following; Yes, Penthouse 3 bedroom Palmar del Sol is the only one with private terrace, Riviera Maya 3 bedroom penthouse has not private terrace this one has a shared rooftop ( with hammocks and sun chairs) you can use it too even if you are in Palmar del sol.
About the beds, the 3 bedroom penthouse has 1 king-size bed + 2 Double beds + 2 single beds to sleep 8 people comfortably.
And about "superior penthouse" yes, other travel site says that.
