Royal Solaris Cancún is celebrated for its stunning beachfront location and the vibrant atmosphere it offers, complete with lively music and entertainment that guests generally enjoy. The hotel's variety of amenities, including those for children, receive special accolades, although there's a call for more pool seating. While the rooms boast commendable views and cleanliness, some travelers have flagged issues with noise and maintenance. Service is often highlighted as friendly and attentive, yet there are suggestions for improvement. Despite some criticism over food variety and additional fees, many consider the overall experience to be of satisfactory value.

My family and I recently stayed at the Royal Solaris in Cancun, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the perfect spot for our vacation. The front desk staff, in particular, stood out for their warm hospitality. A special mention goes to Danial Rojo, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Not only did he assign us a room with an incredible view of the ocean, but when we asked for extra blankets late one evening, he responded promptly and ensured we got everything we needed. His attentive and friendly service really set the tone for our entire stay.

The hotel itself is every bit as wonderful as described in other reviews. The common areas are beautifully maintained, and the property offers a range of amenities that cater to guests of all ages. We enjoyed the poolside activities—there always seemed to be something going on that kept us entertained—and the beach area was immaculate, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The staff were consistently helpful, bringing drinks and snacks right to our chairs while we relaxed.

We also took advantage of the dining options on-site. Like other visitors have noted, the buffet offered an abundant selection of dishes for every meal, and the themed dinners were a delightful surprise each evening. We never felt bored with the cuisine, and the quality remained consistently high throughout our stay.

In reading through the comments others have shared, we found their praise for the staff’s responsiveness and friendliness to be absolutely true. Our overall experience at Royal Solaris was exceptional—great rooms, fantastic food, attentive service, and a gorgeous beachfront location. We can’t wait to return!

Pros: Amazing family vacation at royal solaris cancun. Really liked the activities they arranged for all the age groups. Impressed with house keeping. Maginificent beach. The best part was freshly baked wood fire pizzas and variety of drinks.( both alcoholic and nonalcoholic)

Cons: They removed sea weeds only on weekend. As we went in April, it had good amount of sea weed. Please carry your own soaps and shampoos as they have very poor quality soaps. If you are vegetarian, don't expect much. But whatever available is good. You can ask chef to prepare as per your diet preferences.

Tip : don't attend their membership promotions. During presentations you will realise its too too expensive and waste of your time.

Our stay at the Royal Solaris was by US standards average. When we arrived at the resort we checked in to find that the room we had reservations for was not available (A romance room with a king bed) The front desk didn't speak perfect English so there was a language barrier that was hard to overcome. We ended up having to take a room with two queen beds for the night, after a long trip my wife and I were too tired to try to fix the problem and took what they offered. The room was clean but what they considered a stocked mini-bar was far from that, I don't drink alcoholic beverages very often but 2 beers, six bottles of water, and two-three cans of soda were not my idea of a mini-bar. (no hard liquor anywhere in the room). So I did what any good visitor would do and got a beer from the fridge to find out the top was not twisted off and there was no bottle opener in the room which I fixed with a little ingenuity. The next day we got up and had to check out of the room and moved to a room with a king bed. The room was better however it still wasn't what we expected to get according to the advertisement seen when making the reservation. Well, the rest of the trip went fine for the most part, we took a little side trip the the Aztac Runes, the trip was long and humid, BEWARE if you do this make sure you have something to shade you from the sun, I ended up pouring a bottle of water over the wifes head to keep her from heat exhaustion. The next day was spent at the local mall in Cancun. Not too bad, very close to something you would find the the United States. Overall the the resort was nice, good seanry and the food was mostly good. The staff was very polite and helpful, google translate helped also. my thoughts are this, if you are going to make a trip like this you should be healthy to enjoy all it has to offer. Most if not all the activities were for ages 18 through 50, As for me and my wife, we decided to stick with trips with mostly sightseeing.

I had come to this hotel in 2016, I wanted to return because on that occasion I had a good experience, this time the opposite, apart from raising its prices, the hotel went backwards in the food and the service it provides, the food is always the same and very little variety, at breakfast I had to stop to get the tea and coffee (the waiters should bring it) the desserts at lunch and dinner were always the same and of very poor quality.
There is no longer sushi in the hotel and there is a sign that says dining area.
Sushi.
Regarding the cleaning of the room, they did it whenever they wanted.
And what bothered me the most is that every time you run into people from the hotel they try to sell you or trick you with the famous time.
Buy left.
If you ask me if I would return or recommend it, it is a resounding NO.

DO NOT TRUST ANYONE THERE! I stayed there from 2/20-2/25 and let me tell you my experience was not pleasant at all. Upon arrival we handed our keys to valet and the next day they return the car damaged and didn't want to take responsibility. I asked to speak to a manager but that person its not where to be found at that place. At first we were very understanding but after 3 consecutive days trying to get someone to take responsibility that was clearly not an option. I ended up calling their local law enforcement but due to being given the wrong address by their security they never arrived. Manuel from front desk was so rude, disrespectful and not a care in the world instead of being apologetic and understanding. He could care less to help us get our issue resolved . I would NOT recommend staying at a place like this, after the altercations didn't feel safe there anymore. Imagine if anything from your room gets missing , they will find anyway to say it wasn't them. These people are the worst of the worst. Reservation's for their "restaurants" are non existent , their food is bland and room service is a joke. Also unless you're willing to throw money at the serves by the pool they won't ever offer anything to drink. Which is mind-blowing because we are great tippers when service is amazing.

The Royal Solaris Cancún Hotel offers an exceptional all-inclusive holiday experience, combining comfort, convenience and quality service in a paradisiacal setting. Located on the seafront, it offers breathtaking views of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, creating an idyllic setting for travelers seeking relaxation and adventure.

The rooms are spacious, well maintained and tastefully decorated, with modern amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. Cleaning is done regularly and thoroughly, guaranteeing impeccable cleanliness throughout the stay. The staff is particularly welcoming, smiling and ready to meet all the needs of guests, which adds a very appreciable human dimension to the experience.

For gastronomy, the hotel offers a variety of restaurants offering international and local cuisine. Whether for a hearty buffet or an à la carte dinner, the quality of the meals is there. The hotel’s bars are also a plus, with refreshing cocktails to enjoy throughout the day.

The hotel has a wide range of activities for the whole family, from water sports to entertainment and relaxation at the spa. The pools are well maintained and offer a perfect place to relax under the tropical sun. The children's club also allows parents to enjoy their holidays in total tranquility.

Another highlight of the hotel is its location. Although it is relatively close to the tourist attractions of Cancún, it remains quite distant from the hustle and bustle of the city center, allowing visitors to enjoy a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

In short, the Royal Solaris Cancún is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a quality all-inclusive stay in a paradisiacal setting. With its modern facilities, impeccable service and numerous leisure options, this hotel will satisfy families, couples and groups of friends alike.

My family of 4 loves the Solaris Resorts! The staff is very helpful and worked hard to make our stay memorable. This trip we had to extend the stay due to weather and although we had to change rooms, they still managed to keep us with an oceanview balcony and made the switch as seemless as possible! Andres worked tirelessly to ensure everything was satisfactory throughout our stay. The wait staff for breakfast started our days off fantastically. Ricky Gil, Garcia and Alfredo being the memorable ones this trip but there were others nearby to fill in when needed. Breakfast is by far my favorite meal of the day. Marsiela was our rockstar while we hung out poolside, she was always nearby when we needed a refill whether alcohol or non! Housekeeping (Rosalinda & Frederico) left different towel art each time they reset the room. They don't get enough credit for their work!

This trip we strayed off property and had a wonderful sunset dinner at Navios (walking distance from resort). The view made up for the slow service, so make sure you aren't on a timeline if you go there. We weren't, thankfully! The staff gave a tambourine celebration for our daughter's birthday, which we loved!

We also took the bus to the Skywheel area called La Isla and did a little shopping. Prices were high at the stores in the mall, I don't have a desire to go back there in the future. I would rather go to local vendors than stores we can visit in the states but my kids enjoyed it.

My husband and daughter also did parasailing from the vendors on the beach which was right next to the resort. That was the 3rd or 4th time for my daughter but the first for my husband and he didn't know why he hadn't tried that before. The water is so clear this time of year! No seaweed either which is prevalent in March when we usually visit.

Another great trip!

5 years visiting them at GR Caribe and this time I was encouraged to stay at Royal solaris and it was horrible, daily I had to call because there was neither water nor hot water, the sink was always covered. As for the beach, you are no longer served in the beach area nor is there shade and very few beds. It is appreciated that the hotel is very quiet but everything ends at 11 pm there are no more activities. The boring, daily food is the same in the buffets and in the “restaurants” they serve the same daily in addition to their food is not chida, they removed better dishes for putting very simple things. All the usual staff are no longer there, they no longer tend to you kindly, they do not worry or offer you a refreshment at lunchtime; the only rescueable thing is the snack area in the pizza part with our friend Herlinda who has always attended us in the sushi area but they also removed it and now it is making rich pizzas. And the waiters from the Auri and Erick pools always excellent service going around every 10 minutes. I hesitate to return the truth. This new management by the new manager is making the hotel wasteful, the one good thing he did was that the wifi already reaches everywhere. Because now everything charges up to a coconut they charge and before it was free, I do not like them but it looks bad; also that at midnight there was a night snack and also removed. Very bad everything already.

When we arrived at the resort, we were told our room was unavailable for the night. The first person at the front desk said she didn’t know why the room was unavailable (after being booked months in advance) and then we were told there was maintenance on the hot tub and that we could be upgraded to the master suite and given a spa credit. We accepted. Then we were greeted by someone who tried to convince us to go to another new resort for a meal and get a credit (we were already offered this at the airport and declined, and told him this), it was already 7pm and we just wanted to get to the room not be asked over and over if we were sure we didn’t want the deal. We got to the master suite, the liquor dispenser had no bottles in it, when we asked they said “there’s beer in the fridge”. My boyfriend paid for the upgrade to have the roses on the bed since it was my birthday and he was also planning on proposing, this did not happen in the master suite, or when we changed rooms the next day to the original room that was booked with the hot tub. The food - average. The breakfast is very limited in the buffet and the restaurant is for members only (which we aren’t). We went to the Italian restaurant which was great. Couldn’t get mimosas with breakfast since the bars aren’t open yet so you have to wait until 11am and the bars close at 11pm. Room service menu was extremely limited, no authentic options were even on it, I ended up eating a hamburger. The wifi was extremely spotty so a lot of my messages never went through. I’m not sure how this resort has an overall rating of 4.5.

There does not seem to be a distinction in service between GR Solaris and its two sister resorts, based on whether or not you are a member. However, unless you make special arrangements (i.e., at least do a time share presentation), you only have access to allTHREE resorts if youa re staying at the members-assigned (best) resort. The food, service and entertainment quite a bit better at the members-assigned resort, but all three are at least good.
