Nestled in the vibrant Condesa neighborhood, Mondrian Mexico City Condesa is lauded for its prime location and stylish ambiance. While travelers consistently commend the hotel's cleanliness and modern room design, some have called out issues with noise and maintenance. The amenities and helpful staff receive positive remarks, but guests have also experienced service inconsistencies and overcharges, leading to mixed opinions on the hotel's overall value. Despite the lively atmosphere, noise disturbances from the rooftop club and street events are common concerns among reviewers.

Perfectly situated in CDMX, great service, clean & comfy rooms--I'm 100% returning to this hotel for my next visit! This hotel is located right off of a main street, which makes it easy for transportation to drop off/pick up. There's so many coffee shops, bakeries, bars, restaurants, shops, etc. within walking distance in this area (Condesa). It's also walking distance to Roma Norte, which is also very popular. We arrived early ~10:30am, and were pleased that our room was ready. The room was missing a few key toiletries (e.g. hand soap), but front desk gladly sent housekeeping up promptly. My mother and I stayed in a standard room with 2 double beds, which was perfect. We had enough space for storage and to each take over our own area of the room. The bathroom area was clean and good, but the only slight negative was that there was no door separating this area from the room. Our room was on the 1st floor (the 1st floor above the lobby), which is where all standard rooms are--I believe the higher floors are reserved for suites and more premium rooms. The hotel is on a quiet street, so we didn't have any issues with noise from the street at night. However, you can hear your neighbors if they are somewhat loud. We stayed during NYE, which was the noisiest because of our neighbors and the bar on the 9th floor had a DJ that night. Though, we expected this night to be noisy. Staff was very kind and they were always around in the lobby, which made me feel safe. The hotel shares a driveway, lobby area, and cafe with the Andaz. I liked the large lobby area and having a restaurant, rooftop, and cafe option, though we never went to either. It's a busy lobby because it's shared with both hotels, which again I liked because I felt safe and it was nice to sit and people watch. Overall, we have a lovely experience, and I highly recommend for the price & value.

The Mondrian did NOT disappoint! We went to Mexico City for a 5 day foodie, arts and culture trip and stayed here. The rooms were exceptional, the neighborhood was perfect - walking distance to so many fabulous restaurants and shopping. The thing that really stood out was the welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, especially our bellman ADRIAN - he went out of his way to welcome us every time we arrived at the hotel, helped us with bags, took photos for us and always got us in and out of our Ubers/taxis and did it with the warmest, friendliest smile! Highly recommend this place, the Skybar was so convenient for meals and drinks on site and the crowd was fun, not the typical boring conservative business traveler but more sophisticated international traveler. Adrian and the Mondrian will take great care of you!

Adrian the bellman was extremely friendly and helpful. He is a credit to the hotel. As well as courteously handing our bags he patiently waited while a room was made ready for us and made change for me multiple times during our brief stay. A pleasure to interact with.

Hotel staff were friendly, both on reception and at breakfast. For 400 pesos, the breakfast choice is limited to continental & black coffee only, and way too expensive considering the options available within the immediate area at Condesa's cafes.
There was a raging party on the Tuesday evening I was there, which didn't end until after 2am, and even on the 6th floor, the music was so loud it felt as if it was in the room. Reception staff blamed this on Mondaz next door, but both are in the same property & hard to see how they aren't under the same property management. The rooms were comfortable and spacious but with at least two nights with such loud music blasting well into the night, the cost is hard to justify - especially for a business trip where a proper night sleep is required. There was no soap provided for the wash basin, and using the body wash from the shower every time you need to wash your hands gets complicated - since you have to go into the shower to get it, with it being permanently attached to the wall. My shower was not properly cleaned on check in. There was a big glob of dried blood on the floor, and while staff did promptly return to the room to clean it on notification, it's a bit concerning this wasn't noticed & sorted out prior to my check-in. The hotel did allow an earlier check in around 1pm (check in is at 3pm) without charge, which was nice & all staff were lovely, but for the cost charged, I would probably stay in one of the more affordable, intimate & quieter boutique hotels around Parque Mexico next time.

A fresh city hotel, very conveniently located in Condesa, adjacent to a much bigger Andaz (which affords guests the opportunity to benefit from the gym and spa).
Staff at the entrance, reception, guest services and on the floors polite, and very helpful.
Rooms comfortable, if not slightly weird: bath room doubles as the shower room (yes, water flows everywhere!) and floor-to-ceiling glass window is not tainted (so you need to use the hidden blind unless you prefer having the whole of Condesa watching you shower..). Part of the wall separating bathroom from main room is glass with no curtain, which means that on sunny days you can wake up early.
Breakfast at the top floor bar/restaurant disappointing; and service there incredibly slow, even when not busy.
Biggest disappointment: wifi coverage was completely out or only functional at intervals during four days of my stay. No announcement form the hotel, and every time one would mention it to them, they said they had fixed it (which was not the case). Again, the staff was incredibly helpful, and even accommodated me in a room at a lower floor for a day of meetings; but the experience left a sour point for an otherwise a good city hotel.

The Mondrian was wonderful! Our bed was quite comfortable, apart from kicking the sharp edged bed frame as others have noticed , ha. The room was spacious enough with a cute Marshall stack Bluetooth speaker to play music. FYI the room service menu is on a QR code which is posted in a very unnoticeable place. It’s not on the TV guest services section.

The gym was important to us and nice with Peloton bike and treads. We got our workouts in every day in the medium/small but pleasant and well appointed space.

The common areas are nice although the Skybar was quite loud and not my type of music.

The neighborhood of Condesa is GREAT- I would happily return and stay in this area. It’s not super fancy but low key upscale, perhaps more like gentrified Brooklyn and less like 5th ave or Beverly Hills. Great galleries, restaurants, ambience in general.

The staff were all lovely, all of them. They graciously moved our room when the first one didn’t work and helped us with all questions. Special thanks to Lucero, Christina and Marielle for the help at the concierge desk with absolutely every type of question we asked.

The only problem was at the Skybar where we were offered to buy a bottle of Champagne, after being explained that our selection which we wanted by the glass was out of stock. We were told that the bottle was a similar product and the price was for 2 glasses. It turns out that this was a sickly sweet Ice Imperial which is first of all disgusting (explains why it was on sale) and extremely sweet. It bore no resemblance at all to the wine we were trying to order. we only discovered that this was some very odd sweet wine when we got back to the room. As we were enjoying our vacation, we didn’t make a stink about it either at the time or at checkout but it was inappropriate to offer this and upsell us on it.

This was a very last minute booking in August 2023, when most hotels were sold out due to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour. Looking at the website, it almost seemed too good to be true - an incredible nightly rate for a Condesa Balcony Suite, a great location, and an added bonus of a "book two nights get a third night free" promotion. From the moment I arrived until check out, everything about the hotel experience exceeded my expectations. The Staff: from the folks at the front desk who were polished professionals throughout my stay to the top-notch concierge gurus who helped me get into extremely popular restaurants, a crucial last minute car booking when I discovered all taxis and Ubers were unavailable due to the tens of thousands fellow concert attendees, and also helped create a thoughtful walking tour itinerary that covered historic areas, shops and food stops. The Room: incredibly spacious, very bright, modern, bathroom is separate from the shower and vanity areas, ample closet space and drawers, and the terrace was HUGE. For those who are sound sensitive - my room was on the 3rd floor and you can hear music which plays pretty late into the night, but if your terrace door/windows are shut, the music is a bit more muffled. I could sleep through that without the use of ear plugs, but those who are incredibly sensitive to sound you might want to ask if you can be moved to a higher floor or a room facing the main street. The Location: beautiful neighborhood where you are just a few feet away from the main road Insurgentes Sur, and within a 20 minute walking distance from the best eateries and shops in the Condessa, Roma Nte, and Colonia Juárez areas. Going into Mexico City for the long weekend, I had excellent floor seats for the concert and a solid list of food destinations... and to my pleasant surprise, the hotel made the experience even better.

I was very happy with the Mondrian Mexico City. There were a few hiccups with the F&B experience, but all in all I had an amazing stay.

Enrique at the Front Desk was great. He was friendly and accommodating. The Concierge and Guest Experience team Yamel, Mariel and Mariana were awesome. They had great attitudes and gave us great recommendations. They took the time to listen and every time we encountered them in the lobby they were friendly and gracious.

The 1st night we went to Skybar for a snack and drinks. The food seemed off (we ordered popcorn shrimp and fries). Jonathan, the Manager came to hear our feedback and tried to resolve the situation. He offered a chocolate cake that was great and even had sparklers which made us smile.

The 2nd night we tried La Terraza for drinks and a light snack. The drinks were great, but the food was average. We ordered a rice dish that included steak in the description, but when the order arrived it did not have steak. Jonathan again came to the rescue and assisted with this situation and had the kitchen prepare another order but with steak and it tasted much better.

Our room was always clean and ready when we returned after a day of being out and about in CDMX. Housekeeping was on point and whenever we had any requests they always responded in a timely manner. Also, having a clothing steamer was a pleasant surprise and a plus.

On the day we checked out. Adrian the Bellman assisted us with our luggage. He greeted us and assisted getting our luggage into the Uber. Service with a smile always goes a long way.

All in all our stay at Mondrian Mexico City was wonderful and we would stay there again.

I can't say enough negative comments about this hotel. Service is non existent. From front desk to management and all points between. I was with a wedding of 45 booked rooms and every person had going problems throughout the wedding weekend with this hotel. From check in, to room service, to concierge, to check out. Don't stay in a suite on the 8th floor as pounding music to 2am then early morning cleaning crew will negate any sleep. The most poorly run hotel I have ever experienced in my world travels. There are so many other options in Mexico City. Don't choose this one.

Wonderful getaway! Great location, excellent accommodations, and top-notch service from the staff, including bellman Adrian. Would definitely recommend!

As a family of 5, we needed 2 rooms -- we were put in adjoining rooms with a small private hallway. And a rollaway bed was provided on request, with no extra charge (it was a bit of a tight fit in our King room, and would not have fit in the room with 2 double beds, but still worked out fine).
