Camino Real Aeropuerto hotel is praised for its clean, spacious rooms and proximity to the airport, making it a convenient choice for travelers with early flights. While the contemporary atmosphere and recent renovations are appreciated, guests have called out the need for further updates and quieter ambiance. Though the hotel offers a range of amenities, some reviewers warn of additional costs for breakfast and slow air conditioning. The service receives mixed reviews, with commendations for staff friendliness but also notes of occasional inattentiveness.

The bathroom is very small. The shower has no hand shower. And only half a glass as a door. Water fills the toilet area. The bed is matrimonial and slopes from the center to the sides. The breakfast buffet is fine to dry. Checking in is a very slow process. If you ask for additional water for your room it costs you $99.00 mx. when at the airport a liter costs $30.00 mx. to get to the room you have to climb a series of ramps that they do not deserve.

This hotel has an old charm that evokes memories of my childhood in the late 80's.

The furnishings, with their vintage charm and fixtures that scream "retro," are like a kind of ticket to travel in a time machine, and while they still remain in good condition, the rooms don't excel beyond the basics and lack the luxury and innovation that one could expect for the price paid, which lies in its convenient location near the airport rather than on its own level.

The hotel is right in front of the Mexico City airport. You can take an indoor bridge from the airport to the hotel, so you never have to go outside. The reasons I’m not rating it higher are that we saw no signs guiding us to the hotel from the airport (we had to ask someone at information how to get there) and that the hotel room was pretty toasty when we got there, and the AC took a very long time to cool it down. If they know a guest will be checking in, I feel like they could leave the AC on at least to 23. The water pressure could have been better as well.
Overall, however, it is a good option if you’re looking for a hotel to stay at by the airport. We had suitcases and did not want to step outside or take a cab to go to a hotel, so this was a great option that was cheaper than the other airport hotels.

It was a short stay at the airport after a long international flight and waiting for a local flight. Room not clean, all bottles in the shower empty, hair in the pillow, sink didn’t drain well, didn’t get even an apology and if you ask for some water (I have a baby) get ready to pay 250 pesos for a bottle that outside the gate of the hotel cost 24 (airport price). They also lie to me. They told me “it’s midnight, many stores in the airport are closed, you cannot buy a converter for your computer (they didn’t have)” and when I decided to go out anyway at 2 am, all the stores were open and I got one two stores from the gate to the hotel... I have never felt so ignored before by hotel staff

Bad experience. They assigned us a room on the 5th floor, since we left the elevator the hallways were dirty, the room had a musty smell. It is not possible that a hotel with the reputation of Camino Real, its rooms do not even have an alarm clock, let alone a coffee maker or a minibar, when I complained at reception they told me it was because only the executive rooms have these services It's incredible that they charge more than 7,000 pesos for two nights and they don't even offer us basic services. The first day of our stay we returned at 3:30 in the afternoon and the room was still not cleaned. At four in the afternoon they called us to ask if we would want it cleaned. They arrived at 5:30 pm and only because they asked He asked the cleaning person to carry out the cleaning.

Not recommended at all. Transportation airport hotel very bad! They leave two bottles of miniature water in the room. You go down to reception by water pork there are 4 and the occupancy is 4, they send you to the airport to buy it or room service. It is 1:15 am, it is explained that there are two sleeping children that I do not want to be knocked on the door.. well I saw because, 655 pesos 4 bottles of water of 600 ml!!! Really? It's real!!! The room is chueco!!! Very but very far from looking like Camino Real. I'm not staying here again by mistake.

I arrived with my sister and my mother at the Camino Real Hotel on February 14, 2024, to celebrate my mother 81st birthday which was February 14, 2024. We planned to visit the Basilica of our Lady of Guadalupe for the 3 days we were in Mexico since it has always been my mother’s desire to visit. I elected to stay at the Camino Real property which was located right next to the airport by Terminal 1 because I thought it would be extremely convenient and would be easier for my mother as far a long-distance travel was concerned. However, this proved to be a mistake with unfortunate consequences for my family. Upon arrival to the property around 4:30 -5:00 PM, we were greeted well by the front desk person (male). I specifically explained that I was travelling with my elderly mother for her birthday, and I politely ask for a quiet room on the property. The young man who checked us in assured us that the room he was assigning us (room 5115) would be comfortable and quiet. This proved to be misleading because, that night at about 8:00 P.M. an extremely loud street party began. The music was so loud that the walls in the hallway vibrated. The hallway and our room sounded like we were in the inside of a speaker. We could see the main stage from outside our room window as will as the moving spotlight which would pass by the window in our room. Not to mention the constant loud voice over the speaker of the announcer who was the mater of ceremony during the event. This loud noise lasted until 3:00 A.M.

I went down to the front desk and asked to speak with the manager on duty; I stated that the situation was unacceptable and that we needed another room and a quit one as we had requested and had been promised when we had checked in. I was told that they did not have any control over the street party and that there was nothing they could do. I insisted that this was not an acceptable reply. We were offered free breakfast; however, I informed the manager that we had already paid for our breakfast along with the nightly room rate. After insisting that we were staying in a hotel where we expected to be able to rest for our long day the following morning, the manager finally said and claimed he had one room in the other tower with only one king size bed. One bed for three people!

We are very glad we booked this hotel for several hours of stay while waiting for our 1 a.m. flight. The room was clean, spacious and modern. Staff were helpful and courteous. The restaurant La Huerta offered a very good buffet (with lots of choices of delicious appetizer, main course, veggies and dessert) at a very reasonable price of 480 pesos.

The negatives: 1) the bed was very light (and on wheels) and when we leaned against the headboard, the bed would start rolling away! 2) Soundproofing is poor: we could hear our next room neighbours loud and clear when they talked.

The hotel's close and walkable location to the airport is a definite plus. Also, we didn't know the hotel offered 24 hour transportation to Terminal 2 of the airport. We would have taken advantage of it instead of trying to beat the airport train that stopped running at 11 pm.

I booked directly on the site
Rooms with breakfast, 3 rooms. Fireplace Real Club Double
Desayuno Adults Only. I was assigned standard delux rooms without breakfast, I went to reception to ask for an explanation since the price corresponded exactly to the rooms I booked, needless to say there was nothing that could be done by the unhelpful staff. Room not very clean, restaurant terrible and very expensive. Bathroom in the room still with hair.
I would say I will not stay at this hotel again.
