Detailed Reviews
Resort location is excellent, beach front and Infinity pool. They only have one restaurant buffet. Not enough options for dining and there is no bar or night life inside the resort. They have a café where you can buy alcohoic drinks with pre-made cold sandwiches at night, so if you are hungry, you need to go out of the resort or settle for whatever sandwiches are available. No Spa services are available. They would recommend someone that comes to your room to provide massage services for $50.00 per person and it was the worse experience ever. The "Masseuse " was extremely unprofessional and even asked me to help her assemble the massage table and when I provided feedback to the staff, they weren't very receptive. I was not impressed with the service but the resort is new and in a prime location.

This is a good hotel but you have to know what to expect. It essentially strives for a fiesta-type atmosphere that is popular with Mexican families. Loud music going til fairly late in the night and the hotel does not cater so much to foreign tourists. If that sounds good to you, this is your place.
Great ocean views from the room and a pretty nice beachfront, though it does get a bit narrow during high tide. Conveniently located near the far end of the Golden Zone, so you’re near a lot of stuff but not quite right in the middle of it. Did not eat or drink much here but it seemed decent enough.
Towel situation is a little annoying as you have to keep a second card with you to get a beach towel. Resort is nice because it’s new, but it is a little sparse and often short on charm. Much of this is widely done to minimize dirt, mildew, etc, which is great, but it could be a little warmer. Staff seemed somewhat disinterested outside of the front desk — not exactly rude but not very attentive either.
Pools are nice although, again, a little sparse. Big family pool then a slightly smaller pool for adults. Kids would like it here well enough.
They had a pretty cool fire show on Friday or Saturday night. That one is worth catching if you can.
I don’t think you could do much better unless maybe if you head a little further north up the beach, like around playa Cerritos. But that did not seem nearly as convenient, although much quieter.

I highly recommend this hotel, the staff is extremely friendly, security, reception, waiters, cleaning, all very attentive, especially Concierge Carlos Beristain, very Pro.
The sea view from the rooms is amazing, the balcony space is enough to be at ease, the comfort of the bed and pillows is excellent, besides it has air conditioning to sleep at ease.
The food offered by the restaurant is very rich as are the drinks.
In the pool area at least on the date I went the bartenders were enough for the few people there were, the pools are large, have lifeguards and security, has access to bathrooms and gym, the waiters very friendly, drinks and snacks very rich.
Access to the beach is perfect, from that area you can do activities such as parachute flight, banana tour and hire bands.
They have parking.
It is well located.
Without hesitation I would return.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a destination wedding, along with at least 100 other of the wedding guests. The wedding party experience was wonderful due to being in a large group of family and friends. However, I would not recommend this hotel for anything over a day or two stay, particularly the all inclusive option. The hotel itself is boutique, its newer and clean. Unfortunately, the food options are extremely limited all together, particularly a vegetarian/pescatarian menu. The all inclusive option does not include the a la carte menu, which is misleading. There aren't any restaurants on the property. There isn't much to do on the resort, apart from the two pools. The quality of the pizza served at the poolside bar is poor and undercooked. At least 20 of the wedding guests got terribly sick during the week stay there. There aren't any activities to participate in at the hotel like a typical all inclusive. (The pool staff does a good job at playing a few poolside games a day). The beach area in front of the hotel is smaller than at other resorts and you have to pay to rent a lawn chair on the beach, where other resorts include this). Room service is not included unlike other all-inclusive resorts. Food from the buffet eatery is not allowed at the pool area but that wasn't a big deal. They do have dining entertainment consisting of a small local band playing soft rock, which was nice. The service is great, no complaints about that. The location is a bit far from the main golden zone area. For me, food options is the biggest driver in a resort, particularly because of my children, (sadly, no ice cream on the property). The hotel also doesn't have a shop where you can purchase convenience items. Although the staff was great, unfortunately their hands are tied when it comes to food variety. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are looking for an all inclusive or very kid friendly place. I wouldn't recommend it other than for a night or two at most, or for a business meeting if you are a local.

Aweful experience. Not worthy in terms of value for money, people at the front desk were uninterested when asked for a decent shampoo and sopa bottles as ours were opened and the trigger did not work. The room walls were dirty and poorly painted and the shower has the tiniest watering, you barely fit below. The pools were always crowded, people were leaving trash all over the place and nobody at the hotel took care of it. The beach is awfully dirty and trash was all over the place. A really bad experience.

My wife and I stayed at the Viaggio Resort while in Mazatlán in December for the ciclotour. It's a beautiful resort located on the beach in the heart of the zona dorada. Everything is shiny new and clean. The pool area is very nice and gym is adequate although small. The staff is friendly and provides great service. All meals are served buffet style. The food is very good, but may become repetative if staying for more than a few days. Unlike many all-inclusives, the buffet does not include any hot cooking stations. Breakfast is the best meal, with chiliquiles and eggs prepared to ordera nd brought to the table by wait staff. The coffee shop makes great lattes and cappuccinos. The bar service is good. They make excellent micheladas and mojitos with Bacardi rum. Most of the other alcohol is not call brand quality. There was live music during dinner on Saturday night, but no other entertainment.
The resort might be particulary well suited for those looking to spend the day at the resort enjoying the beach, pool, breakfast, and lunch and then heading out for dinner and entertainment.
Overall we had a great stay.

This is the worst experience I have ever had. If you are Canadian do not go. The few Canadians there could not wait to leave the prison. The staff does not even try to understand you they look at you like you have 3 heads. We did the all inclusive although I have no idea why its a terrible buffet and that's all they have. Had to pay to eat off the resort every night. If you are looking for a fun vacation this is not the spot. The one security guard there glares at you because your not the right colour, but when there native friends show up they kiss there ass. There were waiters that went onto the beach my sister and I where ignored they would get to the couple beside us and turn around at the pool this also happened. They would come pickup others plates Are's were not. I have never had such a bad vacation in my life. Sunwing should not be selling this hotel either on the transport to the Hotel ( not a resort) they dropped us off on the sidewalk I had to ask where it even was "up there she said" I said "really up a bumpy hill probably half the size of a football field. So 2 women a 61 year old and a 58 year old had to haul a 50lbs suitcase up a hill. So much more went wrong. Another couple from Canada was supposed to be there till Saturday they where leaving Tuesday they couldn't take it anymore, they said how lucky we where to be leaving.
Oh and FYI no pool fun and no nightly entertainment just go to bed. Also only 1 Channel in English that was CNN.

+1
When we arrived the hotel around 2:40pm the receptionist said that the room was going to take around 45 min to be ready, so immediately gave us our wristbands to grab lunch at the restaurant, I really appreciated that since we had a 7hr road trip to get there.
Room was beautiful with an amazing view, my parents were very happy and comfy.
Pools are nice but our favorite spot was the beach, the hotel has direct access to the sea and we really had a great time.
Food at the buffets was lovely, from breakfast to the dinner.
Service was great, all the staff was friendly and kind to us, having all inclusive package was a great deal for me and my parents.
Special thanks to Alfredo (our waiter) and Irasema
We can’t wait to come back again.

It was such a treat to stay here. Having been to a few all inclusives, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the buffet was: good flavors, it never ran low, and there was a good variety. On the weekends, you can also sign up for specialty dining on the patio. In the restaurant, Ruben and Jesus Manuel were always attentive and made my friend's 40th birthday celebration extra special. At the pool/beach, Jorge and Saul made sure we always had everything we needed. Service was excellent! It can be a bit busy on the weekends, which makes getting a lounge chair challenging, but it was very chill and relaxed during the week. My friend's children raved about the kid's center and the attendant there, they would wake up early asking if it was open yet to go and play! I also used the conference center during my stay as I had a couple of work meetings, the internet everywhere was excellent and included. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Our experience was extraordinary! The attention has been great! In the pool area, the entertainment with Rafael and the activities with Estefany and Paola were incredible, my children and we enjoyed it because they do super dynamic and attractive activities! The children kept saying that they were going to participate in all the games! Very pleasant music throughout the day!! Hugo, the waiter who served us, incredible person!! All the time looking after us and making sure we didn't lack anything, making sure we moved our umbrellas, making sure we didn't need anything to drink. It was my parents' anniversary and he had the great detail of bringing her some cupcakes on a decorated plate!!! Everyone super friendly and helpful with a great attitude!!! The food is generally very good!! I highly recommend the hotel experience!!! THANK YOU ALL!!
