Our family did the sea turtle sanctuary and absolutely loved it! Lifetime memories! Wonderful excursion. 10 out of 10 recommend! We were there in December so we were able to “let our baby turtles go on the beach”. They were gathered up for their safety and released that night (so they wouldn’t be bird food) 🥰

There is no way to explain the wonder of Estrella de Mar, but once you drive in the main entrance it all starts to make sense! The manicured land scape and golf course are breathtaking and unparalleled. It is a gated, safe, fun and beautiful place to bring your family. In 16 years we have never had or heard of anyone having a bad or unsafe time. Minutes from the airport with 3.5 miles of beach and a fabulous 18 hole golf course on the ocean.

If you are expecting to have the amazing Mexican service that you are used to, this is not the place.
No waiters or cabanas at the beach
Some umbrellas with limited sand chairs
The pool is nice with limited service but no pool bar
The suites are fair for 4 adults and a toddler
If you are lucky to have a brand new sofa you can accommodate a toddler on it, my unit had a 1980 sofa where you with metal springs mattress hitting your back all night long
The suites are managed by the hotel but expect to experience a condo where you carry your beers to the beach.
Golf course is gorgeous with an amazing service at the course.

The resort was beautiful. We were here for a pga golf tournament. The hotel staff were great! The golf course was well maintained. I would especially like to thank Katia who worked the Night Shift in the market. She made our stay extra special! She made sure anything we needed we were taken cared of. Outstanding service on her part! If for any reason we return it is because of her pleasant hospitality!!

The room was big and comfy, the premises were wonderful. Very nice staff and very nice beach and pool area. Prices were descent, and affordable, not cheap but not expensive. Th only downfall is the food is good not great, and let it be known they have a lot of bugs, not the hotel but the overall area. Found ants in my room and a beetle, but the area is very lush so not too much different from Hawaii in that sense. The internet was down when we went, that was a bummer, but if you are looking for a secluded very chill place with beautiful scenery, this is the spot.

Been going there for years and have been seeing a decline in quality and service. The restaurants have gone down in appearance, quality of food and service. The rooms while nice are not as nice as they used to be. They are building a 350 room hotel on the property and I think that's their focus. A shame because everything used to be great.

No way is this a "five star" hotel. The location is great and the food was very good. But the rooms were budget quality at best. Shabby furniture, no coffee maker, no slippers, one robe for two people. The shower never got beyond lukewarm. None of the small amenities (e.g. shower cap) one would expect from a 5-star hotel.

Hi Monty,
The opening for this new hotel in the development is planned for the summer of 2023.
Greetings
The hotel can arrange for a pick up with their van, it's like 15-20 dollars, you can call them to arrange, also you can just take a taxi, the right from the airport is about 15min long at the most.
