Thank this was our 4th year staying at Luna Palace! Thoroughly enjoy the location! It couldn’t’t be more perfect! The service from the wait staff as well as the food, is excellent! They are very efficient and friendly! The food at the Eclipse restaurant is great! Wether breakfast, lunch, or dinner....it is great! You can choose to relax under a Palipa on the beach, or simply lounge by the pool! Rooms are equipped with a full size refrigerator, 2 burner stove, microwave, and coffee pot. China and cooking utensils are provided! Each roo gives a western facing view of the ocean, beach, and pool! Pool provides a small, shallow area for small children to play under parental supervision!,,

It took us a few days to get use to it. This is our first time not doing an all inclusive.
We cooked most breakfasts and lunches in our room
The restaurant for supper was very quiet, the reason is too many restaurants very close by to eat at . For Canadian visitors they don't tell you much. When the mexicans come in they walk them around and explain everything
We went down the street a few times to Ocean Palace for supper. More lively. You are able to charge to your room account
I gave front desk 4000 pesos for the two weeks. Today they gave me back the remainder before leaving. You can go to any palace resort here and use there facility. WestJet did not state this in the brochure
We like traveling to different places and resorts
Maybe when I am over 75 I may get be back and stay longer
Thanks Luna Palace

This was our second stay at Luna Palace and have stayed at other locations in Mazatlan. I highly recommend Luna Palace! There is very good value for the cost to stay there but the customer service is even better. Carmen at the concierge desk is amazing and helps to make every detail of the stay work out (especially for those not fluent in Spanish - she's a lifesaver!).
Mazatlan is a great community to recreate in, with a good blend of things to do and see - without being overcrowded by the throngs of tourists. If the beach is important to your vacation, the beach in front of Luna (and the 4 associated Palace hotels) is the best stretch of beach of any of the hotels we have seen. Storms in recent years has not been kind to the beach in front of many of the hotels in the zone, so we were very glad to spend a week along the best of the beach in front of Luna Palace.
Luna was a very Covid-safe facility and their operations showed that and gave confidence to the visit. We found plenty of chairs along the beach and Luna is a much quieter location than Oceano, etc. Obviously, lots of fun to be had by all.
All rooms have an ocean view. The best rooms on each floor are the "001" and "002" suites on the front corner. "001" is the very best and the even number floors are even better with extensive wrap around balconies (odd number floors have 2 separate balconies (pool and ocean).....these also have the best sunset views.

We have stayed at the Luna often. The convenient location, the gorgeous beach, are all reasons we love this hotel. But something has changed. We have always been upgraded because of our consistent stays. Not this time. The room had a beautiful ocean from view on the 7th floor. Our balcony was very small, only room for 2 persons. It did not have a table. The bathroom was dark and in need of renovating. The door knob was broken. One of the lights were burned out. The dishes were dirty. Obviously put away without washing. No complaint about our sweet maid. The pool was bathtub warm so we did not use it for fear of bacteria. Many units were empty and of course understandably because of the virus scare. However, if the Luna cares about keeping its clientel they have to put some effort in.

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at the Luna Palace in early December. Comfortable king bed. Full size fridge and the 2 burner hotplate worked well. Pool was warm with lots of loungers and palapas on the beach, and the beach is FANTASTIC. The duelling Banda groups are competing further down the beach (thankfully) . Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. We liked La Mazatleca for breakfast and seafood, Los Zarapes for Sunday Dinner Specials. Also La Katrina, right across the street for Hora Feliz and live music. Bus stop right out front to take you to Historico Centro and Plaza Machado.
This hotel is nice and quiet, so if you don't care for the mega all-inclusive vacation industrial complex, then you'll really enjoy the Luna. Paula at the front desk was great, very friendly and helpful. Antonia our housekeeper, always did a beautiful job of cleaning our suite. Thank you both.
The only comment I'd like to bring to the attention of the hotel is about their pool bar Hora Feliz from 5 - 6pm. I think it's too late, (especially with sunset at 5:20pm) and was usually poorly attended. Most people are coming back from a day out or preparing to start dinner or getting ready to go out for dinner. We liked another hotel's Happy Hour from 1 - 2 pm. We enjoyed a few drinks and usually ordered lunch or snacks. The Luna's pool bar was very quiet over lunch time and rarely did we see anyone ordering food. We're booked to come back for next winter and hope the hotel introduces a lunch Hora Feliz, we'll stick around spend some pesos.

Luna Palace is an amazing place to stay with your family. The resort has top notch service and incredible food! Bernardo and Niene were our servers for the week and they were both AMAZING! Thank you for the excellent service and always making sure our drinks and tummies were full ;) The morning breakfast was great and very authentic. The beach is well maintained and the entire resort is very clean. My family comes to visit Mazatlan every year and this is the place we always stay! Its the perfect place for a vacation to relax and get away with your family or friends. Enrique is the beach vendor fruit man you will HOOK YOU UP every morning (he is the best), Rudy and Leonard are other beach vendors who will help you with anything else you need.
Visit this spot on your next vacation to Mazatlan, you will NOT be disappointed!

The newly remodeled rooms are very comfortable. For a 1BR unit it was nice to have to bathrooms w shower, two large, wall mounted TV's that included CNN and Fox News in English and a large refrigerator. Great views from the decks. Only problem was the loud noise on Monday night as they were celebrating 50 Year Anniversary of Oceano Hotel. It went on from 6or7 to Midnight. The sound was horribly loud and vibrations shook the wall hangings in the room. I rated Sleep Quality as poor due to the preceding comment. All the other nights were good and the bed was comfortable and surroundings quiet.

My family had chosen Luna Palace on a personal recommendation. We gathered for a reunion of sorts. The boutique style property was just right for us!
The Luna Palace offers suites and every room faces the ocean. The facilities have been recently renovated. The modern and well appointed units (with full kitchens, balconies and comforts of home) make this property a wonderful choice for those on extended stays. The only draw back was the lack of hot water in my shower. (It was warm-ish, but never hot.) The water in the sinks had hot water, it was only the shower for some reason.
The highlight of the trip though was the staff. The grounds team (the property is stunning), food and beverage (extended hours and pool-side service), homemakers (attention to detail and anticipated needs), front office (warm and welcoming), security (present and alert) were all friendly and professional. Paula at the front desk was most cheerful and accommodating. Her attitude was upbeat and friendly.
Thank you to the management and staff for your hospitality to my family. Will be sure to stay Luna Palace again on a return visit to Mazatlán.

I was told there was no rooms available even though I had booked my reservation 3 months earlier. I was traveling with my sister and her family and I was with my family and they wanted to put all of us in 1 room. We refused and they kept giving us different excuses. We argued with them for a long time until they finally gave us each different rooms, just like the reservations has been made. There was 3 families in the lobby traveling together and they also wanted to put all of them in one room.

Staff are great. They dont hesitate to help and get what you need. Location is great.
The rooms need some work. Older building so needs sink and showertapes replaced, cupboard doors replaced, stove is rusty so doesn't heat, frig froze everything.
Biggest complaint is the volume of the music poolside. TOO LOUD. Every one was complaining. There was live music in the restaurant on the weekends and still the poolside guy had to have his music on too loud. Had company over and had to shut out patio doors to talk.
