The emerald bay estates are the only place you need to visit when in mazatlan! There are so many amenities that you literally don’t need to leave the resort. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept and the service is is second to none. All of the staff is extremely friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt like they were number one priority. Every employee from the drivers to the servers met us with a smile and were always eager to help make our stay perfect. We had Karla and Cesar to help us navigate our plans and help us book travel and excursions in advance so that everything was ready to go for our group of 23. We had multiple villas which were in great condition and the house keeping service was always very thorough and made us feel nice and safe. Being able to spend this time with our friends and family together in n mazatlan for a week was amazing and the resort and staff made our vacation stress and worry free, my family and I would highly recommend visiting the pueblo bonito emerald estates if you are looking for first class amenities and services. We will definitely be back!

We love our villa at Emerald Bay. It is spacious, beautiful, and completely self contained. We have a full kitchen, a laundry room, our own pool and hot tub, a work desk with WiFi, lots of closet space, get around cart service, food delivery, and swift concierge help and advise. The staff is always pleasant and very nice. The food at the restaurants and buffet is always delicious, and there are great play places like the tennis courts, the spa, the pools, the bar, the ceramic huts, the shops, the grocery store, and the walks and gardens. It is paradise!
This was our 50th wedding anniversary. We took 28 family members with us to celebrate. The staff was good to help us set up dining space for so many. They also arrange for airport transportation and such kind service as grocery shopping and cake delivery from a specialty bakery. There is also a photographer on site that took fabulous photos of all of us on the ocean front. We have a treasure of lovely photos. The memories of such a great party will last forever. The Villa was not ready when we arrived. The pool and jacuzzi heating units were broken and it took 4 days to replace. The tv, air conditioning unit and dishwasher were broken. However, the staff was very accommodating to extended stay due to cancelled flights we really appreciate the extended hospitality and very reasonable rates for additional nights.

We like this resort because we feel like we are among family when here. It starts with the service from the Elite staff of Karla, Melissa, Enrique, Cesar and Eric who make sure we are well taken care of and try and answer any questions we may have. We tend to eat most of our meals at either the Bistro or the Cordiliere restaurants and their staffs are special, again we feel like family with them. I will miss a few names but will try to mention the ones I can. The hostesses at Bistro breakfast Dulce and Ale ( missed the names at Cordiliere breakfast) to Guadalupe / Kimberly and Karla at dinner at the Cordiliere who were always smiling and willing to chat while getting us situated. The wait staff always did more than just help get our food and have been helping us for a number of years now. Some of them worked at both the Cordiliere and Bistro as there was a remodel going on and we got a little bounced around for the buffet. Fernando, Rodrigo, Lucio, Carlos, Dario, Claudio, Jairo, Ariel, Victor, Rafael, and Nahu are all special at breakfast. The night crew was mainly at the Cordiliere and we enjoyed Juan, Tino, Albert, Antonio, Hugo, Erik and again a few I didn’t get the name of. We of course loved our interactions with both the morning and evening short order cooks. Adrianna, and Lucia in the mornings and Pablo in the evenings. They are special. The staff at the Bistro pool from Jesús Manuel at the towel distribution who was there for my early morning swims and who always helped me create a little shade, (especially after my unfortunate bike crash when I was a little hamperedto Felipe, Daniel, Leoneland Rodrigowho always checked to make sure all was well.
As you can see, we think the world of the staff.
My wife also spends a fair amount of time with the painting craft group run by Augustine and can’t say enough good things about his family/staff. On this trip there were a few things that weren’t perfect. The Cordiliere was being remodeled and figuring out when dinner was being served was a bit of a mystery some nights as it got moved around a few times. Breakfast buffet which started at the Bistro got moved back to the Cordiliere before the noisy demolition was complete which we feel was a mistake. Could have left it at the Bistro for a few more quiet weeks. Also the evening menu schedule got changed after our first three weeks and we had no idea what was being offered any longer as the theme nights got changed from themes like Mexican (our favorite) or Italian or Tex Mex to Black and White, or Silver and Gold? Where no one new what was going to be served. The quality of the evening meals also seemed to take a hit with the new menu. But it is the staff that will draw us back again. Was hard to say goodbye.

We spent 7 days at the Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay resort in Mazatlan celebrating my mother’s 80th birthday party, as well as using the occasion to also coordinate a family reunion.
With over 50 family members in attendance coordinating that many people for dinners, activities, spa days, and a celebration on the beach at their sister resort in downtown Mazatlan was no small feat. Thanks to Karla and her constant communication, her ability to understand our likes / dislikes, our interests and all of the challenges that comes with trying to get that many people on a schedule, children as young as 3 years old included. As a result, our trip was made easy and enjoyable and everyone was given different options that worked well for them and / or their families.
On one occasion, we had a few family members potentially miss the bus back to the hotel from downtown. After one quick and easy WhatsApp chat to Karla, she was able to reserve seats on the next bus back to the hotel for our family members and stayed in constant communication with them and the bus driver to ensure everyone was accounted for and back safely. And….this was after hours for Karla!!
I run a Customer Success organization for a tech company in California so I know first hand the importance of the customer experience, constant, proactive communication and ensuring your customers come first. Karla exemplifies all of these values.
I would highly recommend you take advantage of the resources and skills Karla offers for your stay in Mazatlan. She was wonderful to work with and made our trip easy, stress-free and memorable.

Our family's recent vacation at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Estates August 16 - 23 was absolutely perfect! 💯 👍 We fell in love with Emerald Bay and Mazatlan in 2009 and have been coming once or twice a year ever since, making many wonderful friends over the years and simply enjoying Emerald Estates and the outstanding friendly service we always receive from the Elite Concierge team at this location! Our villa was not in the best of shape with many signs of wear and tear. Dryer vent missing (hot exhaust blown into the laundry room and adjoining kitchen). Blood stains on a cloth covered seating bench. Washing machine leaking through the wall into the ensuite. Too many cracked and damaged tiles to count. Uninspiring view onto an open field.
The resort was reasonably well maintained and the staff were very friendly but the food was repetitive and uninspiring.

Finally after 3yrs of not being able to come back, we did. We started coming here in 2008, 2019 was the last year and we could not wait to get back here. It was so good to see old friends and staff. I would 95% of the staff is made it through the covid, to me that says a lot for Pueblo Bonito in how they take care of their staff. The concierge staff treated us like royalty. They could not do enough to make our stay more comfortable and fun. I have to brag on everyone because every person who is associated with the resort goes above and beyond their duty to make us feel welcomed. Emerald Bay is a beautiful resort but Unfortunately we have seen a decline of first class service that we are accustomed to!! The Bistro was short staffed and the pool staff seemed also understaffed! They’ve taken away shrimp cocktail at the pool and the chairs at the pool and beach are extremely uncomfortable!! Also no shuttle so we had to find transportation to the other resort! We love Angelos especially the staff—Alfonso, Angel and the manager Alberto! We were extremely satisfied with our Elite service because the staff is amazing!!! We truly appreciate all that they did for us. Heriberto in the fitness room is amazing but he had to move yoga classes into a room with no mirrors away from the gym! Other great staff included Oscar, Alejandro and Andres in Kelly’s bar! Victor Zaragoza at the Bistro was fabulous as was Juan at the sushi place! Juan Luis at the main pool was amazing and hard working! Mariana was a hostess at the Bistro and she was a delight!!! I hope PB starts to listen to those of us who come yearly and expect top notch service, a characteristic of Pueblo Bonito!

Excellent trip again this year! Karla/Melissa took very good care of us. The entire staff was very helpful in accommodating my daughter with gluten free items. Guys at the adult pool made sure we well taken care of with drinks and lunch (Including GF items). Another great feature was the return of the shuttle. It made going to PB Mazatlan every easy. Can't wait for our 2024 trip.

Yes they are within walking distance. The whole resort is pretty flat in comparison to Sunset Beach and Montecristo. You can also call for a shuttle as well.

There are two very small deli's on site. You would need to take a taxi to the grocery store - Walmart. We usually have our taxi driver make a stop there on the way to the resort from the airport. Or if you are going to town for dinner, have a taxi take you to Walmart or another grocery store on your way back to the resort.
Sorry to be so late. We tip housekeeping $5.00 per bedroom used every day. The problem with leaving the tip at the end of your stay is that housekeepers have days off and yours might have the day off the very day you leave.
There are more places to choose from in the Mazatlan area.
