Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We booked this hotel at the last minute because our AirBnB was a bust. Went here with a group of 6 women and booked the two bedroom suite on the 7th floor. This place was amazing! All of the staff were super nice and extremely accommodating from the restaurant staff to housekeeping, to the men who helped out on the beach in front of the resort.

We enjoyed drinks at the Oyster Bar. Wouldn’t suggest doing this unless you wanna pay USA prices for shots. We left with an unexpected $100 tab! If you stick with mixed/frozen drinks it’s not as expensive. Would recommend a Miami Vice over expensive shots.

Location is great within walking distance of a lot of places. Catching a ride is super easy because the taxis wait outside of the resort. This resort is right on the beach and has a nice seating area. Only gripe and why I took off one star is the vendors. It would be nice if the people working for the resort assisted with shoeing the beach vendors away. The amount of times I had to say “no” was ridiculous. They almost make it hard to really enjoy the beach. I had to pretend I was asleep so they would leave me alone.

Definitely recommend this place for the staff and great room. The views were amazing, we were able to sleep to the sound of the waves and watch the most beautiful sunsets. Amazing staff. Great location. Clean room nice bathrooms.

We stayed at the resort for over a month and the service was excellent, starting with reservations, bell boy, maid, waiter’s at the poolside bar, beach waiter’s all did an excellent job. Great location, close to malecon, restaurants and bars. Resort is right on the beach which is very convenient. As far as the negative aspect it’s the NOISE!!! the bars nearby play “music” till 3-4 AM and I’m not exaggerating. Joe’s oyster bar to the north and three “new bars” to the south. Very very aggravating. Getting sleep is a major issue. We wish the resort could do something about this as we believe it hurts their business. The Banda bands and the vendor’s on the beach also tend to be quite annoying as there are many of them and it gets repetitive. Although that’s not an issue of the resort as they are all along the beach. I only gave it a four star because of the noise. That being said the service was excellent and we where treated great.

We did the day pass and really enjoyed it. Hung out at the pool, they have a great menu for drinks, food and snacks. The pool is only a few steps from the beach, a really nice beach. Great service by the waiters, and enjoyed the banda music on the beach.

We stayed here for the day from our cruise ship that docked close by. The resort is nice, clean, and has a helpful staff. The restaurant has some good food that we enjoyed for lunch. The location is right on the beach which is fantastic. The pools were well kept and perfect for the day.

Obviously, I understand the hotel isn't responsible when a cell phone and sun glasses are stolen from one of the lounge chairs on the beach portion of their property. What I do expect is at least some assistance in being directed toward the proper authorities to report that crime. When contacting the hotel employees to obtain such assistance the overwhelming response was a rude "we are absolutely not responsible for a theft on hotel property." This was said after making it clear that we understood the theft was not the fault of the hotel. After questioning again, we were directed off hotel property to a tourist police office that was closed because it was Sunday. Upon returning and saying we needed to report the cell phone theft to local authorities, we were given no help, only to be told to try again tomorrow. A night manager wouldn't even talk to us, saying there was nothing that could be done until the next day, even though waiting wasn't an option due to time constraints.

When asked to call the police, the hotel said they didn't want to because it wouldn't make a difference as the theft wasn't a violent confrontation. It seems clear this hotel has no desire to work with local authorities to make guests feel safe, rather the priority is to emphasize the hotel is not responsible for stolen property. If you get ripped off, they place the blame on you. I've traveled in many places in Mexico and know precautions are necessary, as they are anywhere, and theft happens. Even so, the hotel should be prepared to assist crime victims. For what it's worth the food at the restaurant is quite good. Still, the bottom line is when something bad happened to their guests they made them feel a lot worse instead of dealing directly with the issue.

This was our first time in Mexico and will probably be our last. The hotel was ...okay I guess but I should have heeded other reviews. The Joe's Oyster Bar is always extremely loud and the rooms are open air so if you stay here earplugs are a MUST. The wait staff was hit or miss. I would see them fawn over their Mexican guests but it would take forever For us Americans to get waited on or get the check. I made sure to tip well from the start too hoping for the best and it didn't seem to make a difference. Because there werent any other Americans and I was a single woman with two teenaged daughters we didn't venture out much except to the beach or shopping out a little bit during the day. Constant annoying beach vendors that can't take "no"for an answer. Wish I could go home now and never come back.

This is the most disgusting hotel. Chipped paint everywhere, mold in the bathrooms (corners of the floor, water heads, and soap dish area), weird brown bug on the bed, moths in the room, neither of the showers in the room drain (about 5 inches just sitting in there), blood on the shower curtain, door knob to the room is broken, floors are dusty all over, walls are all dirty, only 1 towel for 4 people, and that's just what I noticed within the first 10 minutes. Save your money and go somewhere else. NEVER AGAIN!!!! I wouldn't even want my dogs to sleep here. I wish I could give it zero stars. It doesnt even deserve 1 star. HORRIBLE!

It was our first trip with our 6 month baby and the hotel had terrible accommodations, the buffet was poorly served and at night there was noice constantly and we couldn't sleep.
I'm afraid to say that it was one of the worst trip experiences I ever had.

Exchanged our timeshare week through Interval for a week at the Ramada May 17-24, 2014. Our room was a 2 bedroom,2 bathroom suite on the 7th floor on the corner, overlooking the pool and beach. One bedroom had 2 queen sized beds, the other had a king size bed. Beds were very comfortable. TV in each bedroom. The suite was huge, kithchen was a decent size with a breakfast bar with 4 comfy bar stools, dining area had a table with 4 chairs, living room had a couch and a couple chairs. 2 balconies, 1 off the living room, 1 off the larger bedroom. Both bathrooms were large and always had lots of towels, water pressure in the showers was fine. Room was spotless when we arrived, and cleaned very well everyday.
Suite had lots of windows with sheer curtains and very heavy blockout curtains. Airconditioners worked fine,1 in each bedroom and 1 in the living room.
The hotel grounds and pool were very clean, front desk was efficient and all staff were friendly and helpful.
The beach was very clean, there were a few beach vendors but they were not obtrusive, a simple "no gracias" and they left you alone. The only annoying thing was a band that strolled the beach, a group with a tuba and a few other instruments. The music from Joe's Oyster bar plays very late, and could be a bit of an issue if that kind of thing bothers you.
Location was great, close to the malecon, and at the end of the golden zone.
Can't comment on the food too much, we didn't do the all inclusive thing....but did have a couple of meals at the Beach Grill, food and drinks were good and reasonably priced.
We had an issue with a leaking toilet, it was repaired very very quickly, and the maid came and cleaned up the water as soon as it was fixed.
My only complaints, and they are very minor: the larger bedroom did not have a mirror, the living room would have been more functional with a TV, and the couch was kind of old and covered in a strange rubbery material.
All in all, we were very happy with our stay at the Ramada.
