I chose this place because it's close to the bus station. There are better options available in this area.

It was a wonderful day thanks to the love and support from our wonderful friends
If you come to enjoy Mexican culture as we do, expect to see hordes of good Mexican families on weekends who arrive at this hotel to enjoy the pool. They're all respectful and friendly, but don't be upset when there are a dozen kids (and parents) in the pool at any time. Weekdays are generally much more quiet.
Some things are starting to age at the Sands Arenas. Including patrons who have been coming every year for decades. We met gringos who occupy their own corner and seem to attract other good-natured Mexico lovers who just like to shoot the breeze.
Besides the (excellent) Del Pacifico restaurant attached to the Sands Arenas, there are countless other great eateries everywhere close to the Sands, laundry facilities, and even a supermarket. Most of the suites in this hotel have mini kitchens, so it was handy for us to slip over to Ley's, just a few blocks away, for supplies during our extended stay.
This is NOT a high-energy hotel with chrome, mirrors, and rock 'n roll, so if you're looking for the Golden Zone experience, please go somewhere else. The Sands is really a much more down-to-earth experience for those of us who are here to recharge our batteries and get away from our over-regulated lives in North America.
"Staying at any beachfront place in Mazatlán is not all it's cracked up to be; there will always be a lot of traffic noise."Read full review
