Detailed Reviews
2022 was my 15th visit to MZT. Out of 15, 13 were at Las Flores, 2 at El Cid Moro Beach. Don't waste your time by staying a a big resort. Ls Flores is in the HEART of the Gold Zone; a smaller, older property; the staff is 10+; food, ok...but you are in walking distance and pulmonia rides to any amazing restaurants; clean; if there is an issue, you get it resolved; have to pay for Wi-Fi; did I mention the service is EXTRORDINARY! Pool is heated; umbrellas and chairs and loungers are all in great condition, unlike torn and Brocken at El Cid Moro. I am back at Las Flores forever, beginning in March 2023, and sorry I was away for two years. Never again.

This was our second time at the Los Flores. Here are my pros and a few cons about the resort.
Pros
The location is the best..right in the heart of the Golden Zone within walking distance to many restaurants, bars with live music, shops and directly on the beach.
Staff are nice and friendly
Food and drinks at hotel restaurant are good and fast service poolside.
Main pool is heated and from what we found most pools in Mazatlan are not heated and it is needed since it tends to cool down in the evening during busy travel months
Cons and things that could make it better
Mattresses are hard and not comfortable..need to replace
Need more storage..dresser to put stuff away or place items. we had to use ironing board
Need to clean or fix the air conditioning..ours dripped into the closet shelf where my clothes were..it’s an old building so probably in need of new units.
Don’t be so strict on bringing outside food to pool.. I realize you want to make money off selling your restaurant food but there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to bring a bag of chips or light snack. If you tell us we can’t eat by the pool then we can just go to our rooms and eat and come back. No difference. As a guest it’s not nice to be told and I’m sure the wait staff doesn’t like to tell guests either.
This is an older resort with some wear and tear but all the other good things about it makes up for that in my opinion. We will be back for sure.

The hotel, staff, amenities and location, while all were amazing, the on going construction of area hotels and condos were quite dis heartening.
Also, the bar next door playing extremely loud music till early hours in the morning made us have to keep patio doors closed and A/C on all night.
Unfortunately these issues will be ongoing for quite a long time.
Try picking a hotel away north and away from the Golden Zone.

Las Flores is in an incredible location right on the beach. Our room (I traveled on a girl's trip with my cousin) faced the ocean and we had lovely views of the beach and sunset. The rooms are sparse and rather plain but very comfortable with a small fridge and microwave. There was enough seating for the two of us. We both agreed that we would go back to Las Flores Beach Resort next week if we could. The pool was wonderful and refreshing. We were able to sit near the pool and look at the ocean. The french toast breakfast was so delicious we had it almost every morning. There are a lot of activities on the beach, including taking a catamaran ride and a boat to Deer Island. The location is great to restaurants in the area. We never lacked for something fun to do. Thank you Las Flores staff for a beautiful week.

Older resort, but clean had everything we needed.
beach is very nice, not to many people, except on Cruise Ship days (cruise ship passengers are welcome here) very busy on these days.
Staff - my experience mostly good, except a security guard Damien.. he came at us very angry waving his hands yelling at us, he was speaking in spanish (i know its the language there) but i had no idea what he was yelling about. As luck has it a lady and her husband helped with translation. The issue was my pool bag was open and laying on top of my stuff was a bag of nachoes (apparently not allowed on pool deck, i was never told this when checked in or any time during my stay) We were in hot tub when this all started, no where near my bag, and no one was eating the nachoes. we had just came up from the beach. My frustration, Why was Damien looking in my bag in the first place? Why did he not get a staff member that i could communicate with and simply tell us that nachoes was not allowed on pool deck? Why did he get so angry and make me feel like i had done something criminal?
I did go to front desk and report, someone did talk to me and assure me that this would not happen again, and it didnt. The front desk did also tell me that the next morning i would get a call from the manager, but that did not happen.
Damien ignored me for the rest of our stay.
I am not a rule breaker, and i am not a complainer but this did have an impact on the rest of my stay, i was on edge and nervous that he would approach me in this manner again.
The rest of the staff were kind.
Location of hotel in golden zone would be hard to beat, you are right in the center of all resturants, and entertainment.
Yes i would return
Front desk should give all guests at check in a list of the rules.

Resort is in a great area but amenities are old. Lots of noise coming from the roof top fans or vents. Pool area is nice as pool is heated but the pool area needs some fixing up. Prices at restaurant were a little high for my liking.

A bit of an issue with Westjet site and the room we wanted. Westjet does not offer the renovation rooms . We stay every year..so have our favorite. Had to pay $4000 extra pesos on check in to get our room. Room 201. Renovation not quite completed. Shower stall was curtained enclosure. Worked just fine, but not sure the extra pesos charge was fair. New beds. Still super firm. I loved. Hubby not so much. The staff at the hotel truly make our stay! Jesus, Geo, Juan, Angel, Jorge, Damien, Ulysses, Carlos and.... every one... you all so fabulous! Love you all! I hope the management at Las Flores appreciates how hard you all work. And how much you all make our stay with you so familiar, and welcoming. Love you guys! Anne and Andy. Xox

+1
This hotel is situated on one of the best beaches in Maz. and offers incredible sunset views bar none. Friendly staff, helpful and when you need service, it is provided promptly. Our renovated room was clean and handy for early breakfasts. Treat the staff like your family, get to know them and you treated well.

Visited Los Flores Resort whilst in Mazatland, its located in a beautiful part of Mazatlan right on a spectacular beach! We only stayed about an hour for a couple of drinks but it was beautiful & I only wish I had taken my swimmers as the beach looked fantastic! Service waa good, beers were at a reasonable price, whish we could have stayed longer!

Yes, allowed on balcony and beach.
Hi
Thanks for your reply
I’ve swam in many hotel pools here’s hoping I’m able to swim in this one!
By the way I’ve been to Stillwater it’s a beautiful place with great antique stores!
I'm not sure. My wife and I don't drink so we never sat in the bar area. Although the bar was busy most nights and they had a live band that did sound good.
the fitness center, which WAS near the small pool is no longer. And, WIFI is a charge, and a hassle, and not working all the time.
No bottled water nor is there a safe in the junior sweet.
