Enjoyed this day here I was only there for one day total. Some of the pool tiles are falling off and you need a key card to turn on the AC.

I was only provided one key card at check-in so my room never really cooled off every time I left it kept getting back up.

I understand it's to save energy and I am environmentally conscious however with the humidity it would have been nice to have a very cool room to come back into.

I specifically chose this place because it was across the beach ,had ocean view, and free wifi. we booked a three night stay, during the entire duration the wifi was down supposedly. In order for you to watch tv or use the safe you have to leave a deposit, stupid I didn't feel like doing that. The room was hot and the sheets were muggy when we first arrived. Do not open the closet, it smells. The second night we made sure the little window in the bathroom was closed, we think that is why the room and sheets felt gross. The sheets were okay, soft but the pillows way too small. The sheets had stains on them but I left it like that, I was too tired to deal with anything. The girls in the front desk were nice but when I went down the next day about the breakfast they seemed clueless. I didn't call myself about the complimentary breakfast, they did. So the confusion annoyed me a bit. Other than that, I never used the pool- it looked cloudy. The beach they have access to was dirty, garbage everywhere. The maids are loud in the morning cleaning the other rooms. In the end, it is a good nights stay, clean room, just wish we had a better experience.

We stay at this hotel annually in May or June each year. PROS: Location is great (in front of the ocean), nice clean large rooms, nice rooftop pool. Price is very good if you book online on Orbitz or HOTEL.COM.
CONS: Worst pillows and beds you will find. Restaurant food quality is going south fast. WIFI is not good. Cuts out all day and night. Very Frustrating! Also Loud Music early in the morning on occasion on Mother's Day. Also car alarms go off every other morning around 6 am.

Great customer service from Maria at the front desk, good breakfast food and great service at the ME restaurant. The food at the poolside was good and they deliver food to your room. We stayed 6 days and hotel is quiet and clean and great view of the ocean. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the Golden Zone. The bed was comfortable for an older hotel.

The people at the front desk can be a little more friendly. I couldn't get a smile out of them. Our room was on the 3rd floor standard 2 bed no balcony. The room was a good size and clean. Our TV didn't work so they changed it for another. It was kinda old school but it did the job and entertained my son. We we're there for 2 days and really only slept there. The pool is small but had a view of the ocean. Their were a bunch of young couples "hanging out" but we've all been young so I won't judge. it was a lil awkward trying to have family time with our son while on every corner a couple was making out. If the pool area was bigger it wouldn't be so bad. All in all I thought it was an ok place to stay for the price we paid.

Such an odd hotel. After great service at hotel's half the price no one cared if we coming or going. The bed was squishy and the sheets firm. The gym has water damage and the equipment has not been maintained. They had a few good reviews in 2009. So what's up. Are they laundering money?

Room was small, but clean and well maintained. Quiet area. Overall the hotel needs maintaining. Located across from the beach, however not on the beach. There is a tunnel access below the hotel. Location is about a 5 min ride to downtown, and about 10 min to historic Mazatlan.

A good hotel for beach place. The pool are not properly "infinity" as they say, because theres a glass always fogged beside. But the view of the sea, sunset still perfect! No include breakfast, and the restaurant above is expensive but good. The bathroom is perfect (large, with all needed assessories), the bed and terrace are great too! Tip: the have a acess direct to the beach and provide seats and bar service!

This is our second time to Mazatlan in as many years, and we liked this hotel alot. Last year we stayed in the Olas Altas area in an old hotel with lots of character. This hotel is less than 6 months old. The room that we had was large and spacious. The one bad thing is it comes with 2 double beds. The only rooms with king size beds are the suites. So we made due with the doubles. The hotel is modern, the staff is great and very helpful, and the restaurant has great food, and it's always busy. This hotel has a couple of down sides other than the beds. It is kind of in the middle of no where. You are a very long way from the "Old Town' Mercado and still a fairly good long walk to the Hotel or 'Golden Zone". There was only one little store within a block if you wanted some munchies or cold beer for the room. But since my husband and I don't mind walking or taking the town buses, it wasn's so much of an issue. Another thing is, there ae only about 10 lounge chairs at the pool. Although the pool itself is wonderful, I suspect that during the busy tourist season, you would be hard-pressed to get a lounge chair by the pool unless you got up at 5 a.m. and put a towel on one of them for the day, which would be kind- of ignorant.
My hubby likes his 'bacon and eggs over easy' breakfasts, and after trying two other places, we decided to try the 'Me" restaurant in the hotel. Not only were the staff more than happy to try to please us, but the got hubby's eggs perfect all the time. The staff are always eager to please and we were happy to tip accordingly!
One other drawback is, although there are 'ice-machine' rooms just off the elevators on each floor, the only floor that actually HAD an ice-machine was the 4th floor...and it was usually empty because some idiot would use it and leave the door open on it so that it wouldn't get cold enough to make more ice. Funny how people don't get the concept!!! They said they are in the process of getting machines for all the floors, but haven't yet. Once again, the staff in the restaurant were fantastic if we wanted a bucket of ice in the room.
We are usually the kind of hotel guests that really don't need our room cleaned every day, so we put up the 'do-not-disturb' sign every day, and quickly found out that it means nothing. Although the cleaning gals were great, we really don't like to lock up all our suitcases and put all of our belongings away every single day, nor do we need fresh sheets and towels every day. I think the hotel was mostly empty during the week we were there, so the gals wanted to put in a full-days work and just came in anyway. It was fine, once we realized that, so just and FYI to all of you out there.
As for the review that "didn't know about Mazatlan"....well, if you are looking for nightclubs full of screaming, half-naked young people who are puking all over themselves and spilling drinks everywhere....I'm sure they have them during high-season. But during the off seasons Mazatlan is fairly quiet. We've been to the Mayan Riviera during high-season, and the Dominican during both high and mid season, and Mazatlan during low--mid season twice, and we think it's charming. The people of Mazatlan are much friendlier than in the Mayan, and we safely walked home at 1.a.m several times. There doesn't seem to be much crime or vagrancy in Mazatlan at all. We took the town buses into the heart of the local shopping district without ever feeling unsafe. It is a wonderful place if you want a relaxing vacation. There are lots of things to see and do if you know where to look. Stone Island is beautiful, the historical zone is great, there is parasailing and ultra-light plane rides on the beach. There are booze-cruises, and day trips to Concordia and Copalla, which are two small towns just outside of Mazatlan. Dont be afraid to try something different. And there are lots of Canadian 'Snow-birds' around if you need to talk english to someone and ask directions:):) Thanks to Jeanette and Emery!
