Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Travelled up from Southampton with our dogs to see relatives expecting to have to keep the dogs quiet all evening and was shown a brilliant area called Frank's corner. It's a seating area for dogs to one side of the restraunt and it really made the difference being able to sit with them and look at all the other doggy pics. Felt very welcome, excellent staff, nothing was too much. Will be returning in Feb

After staying in two of your rooms in your Lincoln hotel on Friday 10th Nov with our family members, we were deeply disappointed with the rooms to the point I nearly walked out of your hotel. When we entered the rooms, both were extremely dirty, the furniture was badly worn and damaged, the mattresses were both badly worn, dirty and rock hard. The floor carpet was filthy & covered in stains, there were dirty marks up the walls. The TV remote was sticky and covered in food debris. The hairdryer didn't work in either room, the heater did not work in one room. The bathroom was door was completely rotted at the bottom on the inside. The sink was dirty, the plug didn't even fit in the sink, so water just poured away. The shower turned off completely intermittently while you was in it. It's very basic & disappointing

For the price and value for money, this was everything we needed. A key factor is that they were dog friendly. The staff were very friendly, beds were comfortable, breakfast was extensive and the location next to the Windmill gave a good food option for a fair price feed. We had an issue with our original room, but the staff dealt with it enthusiastically and found a resolution. I’d stay here again thanks to the excellent staff and overall value for money.

Late one Sat night I found this hotel for a friend who had been let down by another hotel in Lincoln. I took her to the hotel, spoke to reception while checking her in and paying for the room and he knew I wasn't staying as we talked about I was dropping off etc and staying somewhere else. At no point did he advise me to enter my registration number even when just dropping off. A £100 fine has been received for parking just over 20 mins while I got her sorted out. Rang hotel to be told they can't do anything as they have already had to cancel so many this month. Avoid this hotel at app costs. Don't even drive into their car park

Had to stay in Lincoln a number of times to sort family affairs. Hotel is basic but clean and comfortable with easy parking. Don't expect any frills but than it's often the cheapest in Lincoln. Staff are friendly. Good value for money.

Arrived as a family party having three rooms. My room the dressing table chair was dangerous and falling apart so I asked for it to be changed. The sheets did not fit the bed and were tucked into one of the thinnest mattress toppers I have ever seen and were too short to be tucked into the bottom end of the bed. We went out to buy bottled water because we all thought the drinks we made using tap water tasted odd, the water pressure in the sink taps were a drizzle. Please invest in soft closing doors I have been wide awake since 2am because of banging doors, this has to be one of the noisiest hotels I have stayed in. My advice stay in the Windmill farm just across the car park the people we spoke to who were staying there were very happy. The food in the ibis don’t even try it’s all processed and microwaved. The one saving grace for this hotel is the gentleman in reception who is cheerful happy friendly and very helpful. I don’t usually hate Ibis hotels as I usually stay at Ibis hotels at airports just before flying this is the first time I have stayed for leisure and it will be the last time.

Pretty bog standard hotel, room was clean, staff were helpful etc etc. Downsides really, was that the room was baking hot, although when we asked for a fan they gave us one. And the bathroom was slippery as anything when the floor and shower were wet. You could ask for a bathmat but surely if they are needed they should be given as standard????
