We held my dad’s wake / funeral tea at Washingborough Hall last week. I was so impressed with all the staff - from my first phone call through to the care and attention on the day. We had a lovely room and everyone was so impressed with the food. (Especially the cheese quiche bites and the scones!) Thank you.

This was our 2nd visit to Washy Hall, finally catching up on an anniversary dinner we couldn't have in lock down. After our 1st visit I reviewed this hotel as "Sheer Class". Let me say it again - this hotel is Sheer Class. It is beautiful, the staff are the best, they make hospitality look effortless (although I'm sure they work very hard). I think what is most impressive to me is that they have maintained this standard despite the pandemic and all the difficulties facing the hospitality sector. I hope the owners are proud of both their staff and what they have achieved. The day we got home we booked our 3rd visit. Very much looking forward to it.

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend in the summer and gave this hotel a 5 star rating. We raved about it to our friends and decided to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday here.We booked two double rooms for dinner, bed and breakfast. Our room was tiny and cramped but we were just so happy to show our pals how lovely it is here.We had drinks on arrival,3 course meal with wine and drinks after in the lounge. We spent £500 on a nights stay for 4 plus dinner, drinks and breakfast. No problem,it was worth it,When we left the next morning we asked if it would be ok to leave our cars whilst we went to the xmas market .We returned about 2pm and decided to have lunch and drinks before we began long journeys home.Imagine our utter disbelief as we were told by the receptionist that we were no longer residents so could not eat at the hotel!Disgusting after spending so much money! We went to a local pub where a friendly welcome awaited us and a wonderful meal. They also have rooms so we will certainly stay here rather than Washingborough Hall again. .

From my feedback from our trusted team, you enjoyed your stay, dinner and drinks. Your 1 star review and disgruntlement arises when you wrongly assumed that we serve coffees, lunches to non Resident guests. We have been operating under a reduced service for 21 months post covid, due to staffing shortages in the hospitality sector, though, we haven’t served lunch for 10 years. We have a busy afternoon tea service, for bookings only. You happily checked out, requested to leave your cars, free of charge in our car park whilst you visited the Lincoln Christmas market. On your return later that day, your problem arises. Your 1 star review doesn’t reflect your stay with us, for the hospitality you received from our team., or the 2 AA rosette restaurant dining experience.

Our club annual dinner at WHH was thoroughly enjoyed by all the members and their guests (26 ). The front of house team were absolutely faultless in their discrete and highly professional attention and service both in the bar and the elegant dining room. The food was universally acclaimed, it really was excellent – the ingredients, recipes and presentation were first class and fully vindicates WHH policy of preserving quality over quantity. Highly recommended.
