Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly staff and clean, modern furnished rooms. Especially enjoyed the excellent, children friendly restaurant to eat dinner after a crowdy day in Legoland. Excellent Burgers, a nice view on the town of Lauingen and a playground for the kids right beside the restaurant.

Very well-equipped rooms,
Super friendly and helpful staff
Rich and delicious breakfast buffet
Unfortunately the floor in my room was very cold and the traffic on the street was very clearly audible.

I would also plan another overnight stay here privately.

Thank you for the hospitality

it is a really nice hotel just 25 min away from Legoland. A really good and nice alternative for families. The owner and the personal are really friendly. The town Lauingen is really nice to walk around. Nice churches, towers and old streets.
5 points!

Excellent location. 5 mts Walk from the Danube. Old world settings. Great hotel with full modern amenities.
Biking possibilities along the Danube. There is a local tennis club dating back to 1913 as well as a boat club.
Some classic, historical buildings to see and admire.

We enjoyed our stay in Kannenkeller Hotel. We got upgraded to superior room which is on the 1st floor. Room was big & clean with sofa, flat TV & coffee/ tea machine. The Breakfast was ok, not so many choices but good enough for a small breakfast. We stayed in this hotel because we visited Legoland. It is 20-25 min drive to Legoland. Lauingen the town where Kannenkeller is located has not so many things to offer. Few restaurants around town but the hotel has its own restaurant only they were closed on friday the day we arrived but we managed to eat in the hotel restaurant the day after & they served us really good food. Try the pork belly with sauerkraut yummy. One thing I was not so happy about is that the room was not sound proof, we can hear the cars passing on the main road at early morning. The total stay was great & we will definitely come back on our next visit to Legoland. Thank you for the lovely & nice staff.

We stayed in this hotel as part of a package deal from Legoland. We shared a family room which included 2 adults and three children. The kids shared a connecting room that consisted of a Bunk bed and a foldout bed and we all shared the same bathroom. My first and concluding impressions of the hotel and rooms were that it was exceptionally clean. The rooms were simple but well kept and the linen was fresh and crisp. There is a pillow menu which we didn't utilise (as we were very happy with the feather pillows) as well as hypoallergenic rooms available. The beds were comfortable but the rooms were a little warm, this was solved by opening a window. Breakfast was better than we expected from a three star hotel. The coffee was great, there were all sorts of yoghurts, cold meats, breads, cheeses, jams, cereals as well as eggs and fresh fruit.
The thing we loved most about this hotel was the beer garden and restaurant. The kids dined in the room while my husband and I relaxed listening to live music and eating our dinner in a stunning beer garden restaurant attached to the hotel. Although we found the service to be slow in the restaurant it did not deter us from having a relaxing evening after the perils of Legoland and we felt rewarded and relaxed after taking our kids to a theme park!
The staff were wonderful and did their best to speak English. The owner made a special effort to get the best continental frankfurters for me to take home (they were amazing btw). I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the area especially if you don't want to venture far after a day out at a theme park.

By chance my son and I were moved by the Legoland Resort to this lovely hotel, at the beginning I was annoyed because we were suppose to stay in the Legoland Hotel, but after being here for 2 nights, and being able to try their amazing food at their restaurant, with their amazing staff and chef!, I am very happy that this happened, and I hope I can come back with more family and friends, one day, even if I don’t come to Legoland, only to have te pleasure of eating here at their garden. By the way, I have no pictures of the meat and dessert of yesterday at dinner, I can only say they were worth it 3 Michelin Stars!!!, they were spectacular!

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable with good quality bed linen. The extensive continental breakfast was very fresh every day. Lovely views from the dining room. We had a most enjoyable weeks stay and look forward to returning to this hotel again.
