We have stayed at this hotel before, which has the right name with lake view. Wonderful elevated location with very large terrace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Mr. Stübi, the hotel manager, young and dynamic, meets the hotel guests courteously. The food is served in a super quality despite the rush of many guests. The small rooms are clean and equipped with good beds. The dining room and terrace are organized by a prudent, tireless restaurant manager. So, we like to keep coming back.

I was at the Seeblick for a work meeting for an entire week. The hotel is situated in a fantastic area. The rooms are roomy and tidy. The meals were tasty. It's possible that the breakfast menu might be improved. The personnel were outstanding.

The hotel is well situated about 30 minutes from Luzern and is very easy to access from the lakeside road. The views from the hotel are every bit as beautiful as the photographs and we loved sitting on our balcony and taking it all in. We enjoyed the walks around the Niederbauen and the views were stunning.
The best thing about the place is the staff. Both reception staff and restaurant staff were extremely professional and also very friendly. We enjoyed talking with the reception staff both at check in and departure and we had a very pleasant evening meal on the terrace looking out over the lake.
The only comments are that the exterior of the hotel now looks like it needs some maintenance work and the bedrooms are quite basic. It was very warm during our stay and the lack of air conditioning meant it was quite difficult to sleep. We kept the door open but the village church is next to the hotel. The bell rings throughout the night, not only every hour but every 15 minutes. Not the fault of the hotel but it did mean we had two very poor nights sleep. The beds were very comfortable though.
We made use of the pool but for some reason, the attached sun terrace was closed. This seemed strange at the end of July when the temperature was in the high 20s. Also the bar was closed during our stay but you could buy drinks in the restaurant and take them outside. It felt a bit like it was only partially open.
The Luzern area is very expensive and this hotel was better value than most but in the next few years it will need some investment to remain competitive.

after we were initially very disappointed by the behavior of the reception staff - although we arrived with small children and were already there at noon, it was not possible to move into a room before 15:00. Our disappointment culminated in the allocated double room - small, dark overlooking a wall ledge and old mini bathroom - presumably the "last" room in the whole house. The apartments of our other family members, on the other hand, were friendly, bright, with large balcony and beautiful views. After a chat and accommodation on the part of the hotel we were able to enjoy the upcoming wedding party undimmed. It was a dream wedding in a dreamlike setting where everything was perfect. The wedding ceremony followed by an aperitif took place outside, in front of a picture-book backdrop overlooking the mountains and the lake. In the banquet hall, the excellent food was served and celebrated until early morning. The service staff was courteous and friendly.

The Seeblick Hohenhotel forced myself my group of 40 teenagers to sleep overnight in UNLOCKED rooms because they were so worried about not getting their keys back for an early checkout that they forced our entire group to turn in keys by 9 PM. I turned my key in and let them know my feedback and was told it was my tour directors fault for not providing some collateral beforehand and 'making new keys is expensive'. The doors do not lock without a key, not even from the inside. Hohenhotel, those details should have been worked out beforehand. That is not our tour directors fault that you panicked at the minute, and the solution to that issue is not forcing 40 foreign teenagers to sleep in unlocked hotel rooms with their persons, belongings and passports. I don't care how expensive your fancy keys are. Or maybe just invest in some keycard readers and join the rest of the 21st century so you don't have to deal with that cost anymore. Imagine sleeping at a hotel where you can't lock your own door. Absolutely unacceptable.

Dear "Gjustinj" We are very surprised by your assessment, as the process about the situation described was chosen by your tour guide, we have presented 3 different solutions. It is correct that we have fixed contracts with the company and a departure at 2.00 am is only possible with advance notice, as we also have to plan our valued employees. Experience has shown that we cannot allow guests to leave independently during the night as we do not receive all the keys, this was also the case with your group and we had to block rooms for additional days. The views from the hotel were breathtaking. We stayed overnight prior to a hiking trip. The receptionist (Olivia) went above and beyond to help us understand how to navigate the trains, buses and lifts needed to get where we wanted to go the next day. We had supper at the restaurant the night of arrival. The food was outstanding- sea bass, chicken cordon bleu, ravioli and beef tenderloin. The hotel does have a van that can pick you up from the bus stop if you call ahead. Also, there is a convenience store right at the bus stop before you ascend to the hotel. If you need any groceries or wine, be sure and stop in because the prices are good.

The price/performance ratio is not right. The hotel is quite old overall, but the rooms are very clean and the location is just fantastic. Apparently a major renovation is planned, which is urgently needed. The staff at reception were very friendly and accommodating. We were able to move into our room before the official check-in time, which we really appreciated. The restaurant lacks hospitality and we found the atmosphere among the staff to be tense; we didn't really feel comfortable on the terrace or in the restaurant. The food is mediocre to good. 1 glass of local wine costs CHF 9.-- and 1 Apérol Spritz CHF 13.--, which is simply too expensive in our opinion.

I visited the mountain hotel for my birthday. The reception was nice, accommodating with the requested room change, attentive in the restaurant. I was very pleased with the attention in the room for my birthday, as well as the decorated table. ☺️
The breakfast buffet and the half-board menu were very good and sufficient. With the half-board menu you even have the option of changing one or two courses. Great!
The view from the room and from the park of the lake and the mountains is breathtaking.
The hotel is located a little above Emmetten. The hotel offers a flexible shuttle that takes guests to the hotel or to the village. Free of charge. Great service.
The indoor pool and steam bath are very clean. It is quite loud in the indoor pool, which is probably how it has to be. That's a bit of a shame. A sauna would be nice.
My Quality Time Package included a massage. It was OK. Next time, however, I would prefer a woman for the treatment.
All the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. It certainly wasn't the last time I stayed at the Seeblick Höhenhotel.

The Panorama from the Hotel is excellent. We had BBQ Dinner on July 31st with live Swiss Music. The Büffet was more than excellent. Everything was perfect inclusive the Sunset and Weather 33c. Very friendly Personal. The breakfast was good and again with a Great See View Panorama. The Pool was good with a nice view to the Mountains. A very nice Place. Very romantic and relaxing. In the whole Hotel there Are no Ventilators or air condition. In the Small Room It was a nightmare Without a Ventilator. Our dog Labrador suffered a Lot. The balcón was nice with an excellent See view. A place to go but don’t Forget to take your Ventilator. For sure we will come back but with a big Ventilator. Yesterday at 10 pm we had Firewalls in the Hotel . Was very nice in Addition to the fantastic see and Mountains view.

We spent a weekend in this incredibly beautiful place with our club. The "Events Management" took a lot of time to prepare my trip so that all my wishes could be fulfilled. The cooperation was extremely friendly and professional. The hotel has an incredibly great view, various attractions, a beautiful and clean indoor pool, etc. that you never get bored. The delicious dinner on the terrace at sunset is indescribably beautiful. As a tour guide, I can only recommend this hotel and the friendly staff, you feel at home here, and above all like a guest! The most convenient way to travel in Switzerland is by public transport.
From Zurich Airport take the Train to Lucerne. There is one where you do not have to change in Zurich Main station. In Lucerne you have to take the Train going direction Engelberg but please disembark the Train in Stans. From Stans it's a 40min bus ride (Bus no 311 direction Seelisberg) to Emmetten Post. If you let us know your estimated Arrival time we are happy to pick you up in Emmetten Post.
The cost is somewhere between CHF 50.00 and 70.00
