B&B La locanda di Sant'Antonio Abate

An ancient house that'll charm you with its asymmetric stone heart walls, the grains of its woods, the nuances of baked clays already there for many centuries...... General Info You'll find the Locanda di Sant'Antonio Abate (Saint Anthony Abbot Inn) in the heart of the medieval village of Viverone, in a XVII-XVIII century building built around a courtyard, lovingly restored and hand crafted by its owners in a totally unconventional way. It faces directly onto the 'Via Francigena' connecting, since the middle ages, Vercelli, Biella and Ivrea across the hill well known as Serra Morenica di Ivrea. The whole ground floor is at your disposal, with two double rooms sharing a large bathroom, large living room (with a Castellamonte pottery stove), kitchen, lodges, gazebo, and garden with a wonderful view of the Alps from Susa Valley to Aosta Valley. Both the rooms have fireplaces and cedar wooden floors: one of them has a coffered ceiling in walnut wood, the other one has a lunetted vaulted ceiling (both date back to XVII-XVIII century). Some of the furniture was hand made by the owners, employing materials from the original building (wooden planks, iron nails, barrels...) We recommend the inn to people who love a relaxing and cultural holiday. The owners will enjoy entertaining you with the history of the boundary land between Canavese and Biellese and also encouraging you to discover it, with the option of accompanied tours.

Friendly owner that made the B&B really special. The rooms are really nice and you can feel the history. All rooms are unique and have something special about them. Some have great woodcraft in them, other have an old stove/heater that you would only find in picturesque old house

Set up in the quiet streets of an old town just next to the lake, this b&b was a rare find. The host Alessandro has lovingly restored this old historical building with the addition of his own artistic flare so take a camera as you won't be disappointed! The walls are adorned wit

I found this listed under agritourismo's and it seems more like a B&B. Are there opportunities to speak Italian with Alessandro in the evenings or during breakfast. It is nice to read that you Alessandro speaks English but we are looking for opportunities to learn Italian. Thank you

Yes, of course I can speak you in Italian if you need to improve it. We can spend some times toghether, if I can be there during your stay. My structure is a B&B, so you can have breakfast but I can not offer you lunch and dinner. Alessandro.
