Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We had a very comfortable stay at Edenmore, The owner, Moira, was extremely friendly and welcoming, giving us local information on the area. Situated close to the town and with just a five minute drive to the ferry terminal. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean, our bedroom had everything we needed for our stay. One of the big benefits of this establishment is that Moira provides a buffet breakfast which is set out the night before. Therefore, as we wanted to catch an early ferry we were able to have a good breakfast at 6am. Strongly recommended.

Great BnB. Great host, she is very helpful with any queries and supplies a breakfast that is sufficient. Cereal toast fruit etc. Comfy beds. Little tip Moira. Get longer pillows. It's in a good location for Ardrossan beach harbour etc.
We enjoyed our stay and will stay again.

Due to us missing the ferry to the isle of Arran we needed accommodation for me, my wife, my father in law and our 3 dogs in Ardrossan with very little notice, luckily Moira at the Edenmore guest house came to our rescue. She managed to get 2 rooms ready for us and made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you Moira.

I had read the reviews before booking. What a little gem. We had a double room at the front of the house with a separate bathroom ( full suite) Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. Nothing was too much trouble for Moira. Missed out on a full Scottish breakfast due to covid restrictions but were given a breakfast goody bag to have in the room which was more than enough. Would highly recommend and would stay again if we were this way. Would book direct next time as I read somewhere that Moira is charged for us using a booking site

Moira is an excellent host and the room we had was perfect. Kitchen and lounge were also perfect to cook our own meals. Room was clean and Moira was able to help up with eating out around the area. 5 minute drive to grocery stores, Restraunt, beachfront as well as walking distance to the train station to take you anywhere. Will definitely return here on our next trip. thank You Moira.

Lovely place, friendly and cozy. I was in the area for a wedding and had booked someplace else but had to cancel. I booked here and was very glad that I did. Moira was very friendly and arranged an early check in for me as the wedding was an evening ceremony. Room was clean and comfortable, facilities were excellent. The complementary breakfast was very much appreciated.

Within walking distance of Ardrossan South Beach railway station and main bus routes.

Very pleasant coming in, incredibly friendly staff 😄. The rooms were cozy and the mattress was perfect for me. I genuinely wish I asked what the brand was because I slept better than in my own bed. Complementary breakfast is also provided and always appreciated!

When I went to review this guest house I found my wife had beaten me to it.
I echo her view that this is an excellent B&B, and that nothing was too much bother for the owners.
The ironic thing is that we only found this place - after trying several other places first.
My daughter stayed at a large hotel nearby, paying double what we paid, and couldn't believe how good our room was. As she said, her experience was very impersonal whereas we could not have been made any more welcome.
Following a family wedding, it was decided at short notice that our 7-year old granddaughter would stay overnight with us. She ordered what she wanted for breakfast, and the owners insisted they did not want any payment for her staying in our family room, or for her breakfast.
We were left with the run of the house while we got ourselves together after the wedding.
Nothing was too much trouble.
We were made very welcome.
This is how a B&B should be run.

This is a very clean, friendly and welcoming guest house. Nothing was any bother, breakfast was excellent, no-one rushing us out in the morning. Lovely rooms, and excellent value for money. I was disappointed we were only there for 1 night.

The website shows spacious room and baths. Although I booked months before for four days the en-suite room we were assigned was incredibility small more suitable to a one night stay! There was no real room to unpack, clothing had to remain in our luggage. We were outside the entire day so need our clothing to be aired and dry. Moira seemed surprised that there was a dog with us although when booking all our stay places, I looked only for pet friendly. The en-suite was actually in the already too small bedroom, a closet. Shower handle leaked so much that there was no pressure to wash yourself properly, toilet required numerous flushes. A cooked breakfast was served the first morning, Moira then became ill, once recovered offered a cooked breakfast for our last day.Just why the cooked breakfast depended solely on Moira was a mystery as there seemed to be numerous other servers at the first morning. We had purchased food as the meal was no longer on offer( although there were lots of items in the fridge, we had no idea who it belong to and how long it been stored). We quickly realized that food could not travel.Whilst eating what we had purchased a server appeared demanding to know why and where were we for breakfast! First night upon retiring discovered the bedding was horribly damp, yikes! The towel rack was barely attached to the wall. To close or exit the room one had to put a shoulder to the door. TV never operated properly, required a series of functions on two handsets, why? The furniture in the common room way to low, slippery faux leather horribly uncomfortable.

Hi The annex has 4 rooms which can take a standard wheelchair, there is one step at front entrance door to give access but the bathrooms don't have disabled hand rails , it all depends on how severe the disability is. Hugh
