Such a beautiful house and a warm and friendly welcome from Denise. Our lovely large en-suite room looked out over Dundrum Bay which was stunning.
The house is filled with lovely artwork, plants and so many quirky things to admire.
On arrival we had a pot of coffee and a delicious lemon meringue pastry in the beautifully bright and tastefully decorated room overlooking the well maintained garden.
Denise's attention to detail was superb and breakfast was no exception, with freshly made scones, fresh fruit salad and a delicious cooked breakfast.
Unfortunately we could only stay one night but will definitely return for another time.
Thanks for everything Denise!

We stay at The Carriage House whenever we visit County Down. Denise is always very welcoming and so attentive. We stayed in a bedroom at the back of the house overlooking the garden, which is full of flowers and visited by a great variety of birds.
The breakfast is a feast, starting with fruit salad and followed by a beautifully cooked breakfast and freshly baked scones.
It is a great centre for visiting gardens in County Down. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

We used this as a centre to visit Co. Down. We had been here a few years ago and returned because our first visit was so enjoyable. Denise is a great hostess who made us very welcome and her breakfasts were delicious, with lots of things in the garden to see - birds, plants and a wonderful horse sculpture.
We had a room overlooking the garden with a really comfortable bed. The ensuite bathroom was modern and the house is tastefully decorated and furnished.
There are 2 good restaurants within a few minutes walking distance, which is a bonus.
We shall make it our base when we return to explore the Mournes in the autumn. Our stay here made our 3 day break memorable.

From a home that oozes class and good taste to hosts who go the extra mile in every detail - there simply was nothing to dislike or criticise about the Carriage House including the delicious breakfast with fresh local produce cooked and presented better than any 5 star hotel! This is really a gem of a place located on the beautiful Main Street of Dundrum with a gorgeous tranquil garden to the rear. Those who love to look at art and beautiful things will have a feast for the eyes indoors and out. Could not finish the review without mentioning the bed - luxurious fresh comfort - I was only passing through on a work trip but boy will I be back…over and over again. Top class in every respect. High praise to the lovely hosts. Simply the best!

From start to finish Denise and Stephen were amazing hosts. Rooms spacious and comfortable, gardens stunning to look at and the breakfast was as good as you would get anywhere.
Made to order every morning it was just stunning. Denise is a superb host who only seems to be there when you need her, its a talent. If you are ever in this part of the world do not hesitate to stop at The Carriage House, you will not be disappointed

The warmest of welcomes for a lovely Hostess a privilege to share her beautiful home.
Facilities immaculate, with those special finishing touches, quality toiletries and linens. Fresh cut sweet peas in the room

Then what a breakfast every requirement catered for without exception, Maureen buys quality local ingredients and shares the provenance with her guests.
A hidden gem, and just over the road from the Famous Mourne Seafood Bar (separate review to follow)
Will be back again soon.

What a lovely place! Maureen was so kind and welcoming, so we really felt at home for our whole stay. The rooms were fabulous - whilst "only" a B&B, this is at least as good as a top 4 star hotel. Our room had a fabulous new bathroom suite, very modern but still in keeping with the rest of the building. Breakfast was superb, served in the conservatory overlooking the garden - we had fresh fruit to start before a great Ulster fry, with home made bread, just perfect. Dundrum is a small place but has at least 2 fabulous restaurants within 100 yards - well worth a stay, especially for golfers, with Royal County Down just down the road! Thank you Maureen. Joanne & George

Thank you Maureen for a wonderful stay at your lovely B & B. After a long afternoon/evening of golf at Royal County Down it was nice to come home to a comfortable, warm, clean and quiet room. The breakfast was our first Northern Irish and was beautiful as was your very comfortable and welcoming kitchen/conservatory. We had a lovely stay and it was terrific to find out that we had stayed in the same room as Tom Coyne! We will be sure to come and stay next time John tackles RCD.

My brother and I stayed at this lovely Guest House on a short trip to Northern Ireland. Our room was comfortable and well equipped and our hostess made us feel very welcome. The highlight was a beautiful home cooked breakfast each morning with lots of local ingredients and home made delicacies. Dundrum is well placed for the coast and for walking in the Mountains of Mourne. I would definitely recommend.

A delightful, reasonably priced small b&b with comfortable rooms. Maureen served us a delicious, tasty breakfast. Walks along the estuary recommended as is a visit to Dundrum castle. Very good local pub restaurant two doors along, do book in advance.
