Compass Point is a 1.5 acre celebration of bold imagination. Its 18 huts, made up of two-story cottages and single cabanas, glow with vivid Junkanoo colors. It is the perfect choice for guests who value simplicity, comfort, creativty and romance. Its restarunt is one of the few in Nassau where you can dine overlooking the ocean.

Detailed Reviews
This was my first time to the Bahamas, and I found about this hotel from Trip Advisor, so writing a review to pay it forward! After a lot of back and forth about staying at a resort like Baha Mar, we decided we aren't "reosrt people" and chose this colorful place. From the photo online, I reserved elevated hut #115. I was a little disappointed when we were handed the keys to room #113 (as the folks in 115 extended their stay) BUT that was quickly washed away when we arrived in our little purple-roofed hut. It is the closest to the beach- and let me tell you, this is literally a PRIVATE BEACH! I have never been to a private beach before, and I counted a family of 5 as the most crowded I saw it. Absolutely breath taking! The sound of the ocean is so loud and relaxing that I could not hear any other guests. It is truly the most relaxing vacation I have maybe ever had! If you are not a "resort person" and want a place that has unbeatable oceanfront views and no children, Compass Point is a must. I am already thinking about when my next vacation is to come back to #113! The pool area is nice and again so relaxing. They even brought us drinks out to where we were sitting. The restaurant is good and they have over 200 drinks! We barely made a dent- all delicious. Every staff member was so kind and friendly, and they helped us a lot with calling for taxi service when it was past the jitney time. Cheryl was the sweetest driver! Other times we rode the jitney which is a fun and easy experience. Bring cash and plenty of ones for your trip, as you will need $3 per couple per ride, and cash for taxis at other times (it was about $15 to nearby restaurants, and $20 to the airport). We had a blast with Stuart Cove's diving (another perk about Compass Point? Stuart Cove will provide transportation both ways, and you are the first/last stop at this resort! The Atlantis people had a bus ride longer than an hour!) We also did a day trip to Exumas and saw the pigs with Harbour Safaris and it was a lot of fun! Nearby good restaurants included Sapodilla (they provided us with transportation!), Blue Sail, Aquafire (walking distance), Nirvana Beach Bar (walk down the beach), and the Poop Deck. It was a blast and highly recommend this gem of a resort! All the locals we met talked about how they loved coming there to party but we were always too tired to enjoy any of the live music.

We did not stay at this property, but came for a day trip. The person I spoke to at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed chatting with him! This beach is gorgeous and I was able to swim out to two reefs after having been directed by a nice paddleboarder. :) Only the two of us were in/on the water. Beautiful areas to sit and look at the ocean. Good food goes along with the view. Many locals stopped by for take out as well, demonstrating that the prices are fair and food worth checking out! Also love the junkanoo color inspired huts and benches throughout the property - it felt very bright and cheery. We will be back and may stay here in the future.

Beautiful resort. The photos on travel advisor or even my own don’t do it any justice.
Things you should know...
• if you’re an all inclusive person, this place is not for you
• everything is as advertised in terms of “hut”
• accommodations are rustic
• staff were incredible
• taxis can get expensive rent a car (at your own risk)
• near the airport
• love beach is amazing
• kitchens close at 8pm, so make sure your dinners start at 6pm.
• all pricing of your stay isn’t really upfront. When you check out, that is when you have these VAT fees which are pretty steep. When you book, you’re paying for your night stay and not the full reservation cost
• continental breakfast is included however it’s a $40 dollar credit per room per morning. Menu starts at 11 bucks... somehow we managed to always spend over our stipend 🤷🏾♀️
• hospitality fee is included in your stay, so dont over tip but do add a little something extra if you want
• i do think there needs to be some more upkeep in the rooms but not something that would stop me from staying there again.

We visited this resort for three nights. I travel often and have never seen staff so ignorant to guests. Coffee was cold and served 20 min after asking in the morning. Pool and jacuzzi was not cleaned . Sheets for beds were not changed unless you ask . Dance night is a misunderstanding, its only for locals , you will be ignored and waited as guests of the hotel ! And late fee check out is charged without letting you know in front and no notice ! Its ridiculous how much they charge and how they treat! I would not recommend this place to anyone trying to spend memorable, enjoyable couple days out in bahamas! My full review , is posted under Restaurant portion of compass point restaurant. Do yourself a favor and book some other place !

My family and I (kids are 13 and 15) stayed here in June and loved it. Since we were a family of four, we had a two bungalow “suite”. Mom and Dad stayed upstairs while the kids had their own place down stairs. If you don’t want the chaos of Atlantis and the Hilton, stay here. The place is very clean and comfortable, however it is a little “rustic”.
We ate most of our meals at the restaurant at the hotel, and the food was good. Try the pizza with lobster and shrimp. Here a tip, they are serving off of a Covid menu right now, but you can ask for their full menu. The staff is very friendly and they work hard to make sure you are having a nice time. On the weekend, the restaurant seems like it is a local place to go. View is spectacular of the ocean.
They have their own personal beach that you can swim and snorkel at. They have a wonderful pier that you can walk out on and if you look down, they have a “bait ball” of fish where the local barracuda and Jacks feed off of them at dusk. We probably saw 2-4 sting rays swim by everyday too.
If you want to go to Nassau, it is probably 1/2 hour cab ride. I would say that is the only issue.

We have just returned from another lovely stay there at Compass Point Beach Resort. This was our first time traveling since last March when the world turned upside down but at no point did we have any regrets once we arrived. Phillip and the rest of the staff were amazing and made us not only feel comfortable and safe but provided outstanding hospitality. The room was immaculate as always (we stayed in one of the huts along the ocean). The balcony doors open to one of the best views you’ll get anywhere. The sunset along Love Beach is phenomenal and the walk down to Nirvana to grab a Kalik became our late afternoon routine. There are obviously a number of great options to stay while in Nassau but something about this place is simply extra special and worth a visit.

This little gem is so amazing. I really hesitated about letting the world in of the views, the friendly staff(especially Helen). I did not get the guy’s name who was doing maintenance but he was great, always willing to assist us during our visit. The other guest are warm and welcoming . The resort is quiet and relax vibe. You feel very safe on the private beach and property. Good food, the Compass Bliss is a MUST.

Possibly the best trip I have enjoyed so far. The people of the Bahamas are the kindest I've met anywhere and the staff at Compass Point are a step above. Thank you Miss Karen and Miss Helen for your ready smiles and eagerness to help. Miss Nadia, Mr Harry, Mr Ramone and all the staff, thank you for chatting with me and patiently answering my questions. Each and every one of you helped to make my stay so perfect! I can't wait to return!❤

Compass Point no longer exists. It has been torn down and replaced with concrete. Even the pool. Gone. How distressing and sad. This was our favorite place to stay where we could gaze out at the turquoise water from our room. There are new owners and a new restaurant. The restaurant, Solemar, is good with the same beautiful views. Where the pool was is now an entertainment space.

We were staying close by and had multiple breakfasts and a lunch here. Amazing views on the patio. Resort property is lovely and we went to their beach twice. Only people there and best sand and water I’ve seen. Food was good, staff is super friendly (ask for Dorothy) between the 8 of us we had so many breakfast items and they were all good. Great breakfast menu
