This was our 10th visit to the Palms. We love the size of the hotel and the accommodations. Housekeeping is always excellent. The breakfast buffet is fine if a little unimaginative. Hostess Carol is outstanding and is a definitive asset to the hotel. She is upbeat and takes an interest in all guests. Our butler Jerome is the very best and we wouldn't keep returning if not for him. He makes our lives easy and follows up on every little thing. The pool and beach food service this year was horrible and many guests were commenting on the downgrade from previous years. We found the luncheon menu changes mixed but food quality was high. There appeared to be no management supervision and many efficiencies could obviously be put in place in addition to adding servers to the pool area on poorer weather days. . That said, Conrad, Jimmy, and Wes were very accommodating and we looked forward to seeing them each day. The pool staff was very helpful, especially Floyd. We appreciated the updates to some of the hotel's physical plant, especially the elevators. The spa experience was great and we highly recommend.…
This was our 4th stay at The Palms. We like the 1st floor 1 bedroom oceanfront suite. A large, wraparound terrace and lawn with direct access to the beach. Large living room, dining room, gourmet kitchen, modern master bath and a half bathroom with washer and dryer. The Palms includes a full buffet breakfast, with a vastvariety of foods and omelet bar. The hostesses and servers are exceptional. Especial for praise Leonie, who makes every guest feel welcome. Praise for Carol, and Ange, at the omelet station. The beach is spacious and being a part of Grace Bay goes on for miles,a bonus forwalkers. The pool is a large, free form and meandering design with many lounge chairs and beds and a swim up bar. There is a lively beach bar and food service. The beach staff are all so friendly and helpful. Careful attention was paid to keeping the suite clean and well supplied with towels and products. Our housekeeper, Elisia, did a great job. Ariker Garland, the concierge who arranged restaurant reservations and always made very helpful suggestions. The manager , Jeff Morgan was friendly and always accommodating. The restaurant, Parallel , has a lovely setting and excellent dinners. There is a stocked market , fine clothing store and a beautiful spa. The resort is well located and with complimentary bicycles only a 10 minute ride to the town. …
We just returned from a wonderful spring break with our 4 & 7 year old. We had a 1 bedroom suite with pull out couch which was perfect for all of us. The staff at the kids club were very friendly and accomodating, plus our kids met friends who they played with the entire time. We were able to have the same babysitter 2 nighs in a row which was great! The food and overall service was great and we really enjoyed the pool time when beach weather wasn't ideal. One thing that the website said was that "complimentary beach toys were available" I did not find that to be true. Not a huge deal! The staff was gracious and kind and I was very sad to leave. Also - this was our second time here, first with kids. We will be back again, when the world settles. Take care down there!
The resort is very nice despite being a little dated. The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is very helpful. All the meals we had on property were solid and the bartenders and waitstaff were fabulous in how they interacted with us.
My wife and I stayed at The Palms several years ago and returned last week for a vacation. It has changed and not for the better. They do try. The staff is friendly and usually accommodating to your requests. However, it seems to have turned into a convention hotel and the focus is on large groups and their needs. As an individual couple looking for a good, relaxing time, that is pretty hard given the noise from drunken conventioneers. The food has deteriorated as well. Our meal in Parallel 23 was way sub-standard. They offer to recook your dinner but why should that be necessary. can't they get it right the first time. Or even the second. The prices are off the map. Drinks are very expensive as is the food. You can do better than this place in the Turks and Caicos.
