A beautiful piece of property with 4 distinct villages, and we were greeted upon arrival with “welcome Home.” We were at Key West Village. All the staff is very nice. Staff wear buttons that say ‘No Tipping, we are just that good.” Well, there is this thing that you need to get use to here and it’s called “island time.” Things just don’t go at the pace you may be use to, so it took me a day or two to adjust and not stress out. It’s not incompetence when something seems to take to long. It’s just Island Time. Enjoy you are suppose to be on vacation. The beach is well maintained and the theme pools are very nice. Staff are very nice and are constantly greeting on the paths. Evening entertainment was fun when we watched. Ok let’s talk about restaurants, my only real issue. They were completely inconsistent. Example, I ate breakfast at Bayside, which had the nicest view of the ocean, see pic. However they couldn’t make pancakes or French toast worth a damn. I only found this out by hiking up to French village to get my bride a Carmel Latte, found restaurant Giuseppe’s to find out they do things right there, so Bayside for breakfast was out there after. Lunch at Arizona’s was our favorite for your basic burgers, dog, taco’s, and pub favorites. I will tell you dinner’s were disappointing mostly for seafood. Anytime we ordered seafood either at Neptune’s or Schooners we can tell it was prepackaged items so nothing special at all. Now, I do have to mention both these restaurant locations are seaside with beautiful views which were not lost on us. Mario’s we enjoyed for dinner on buffet night only as you could order up your own, pasta, meat, sauce blend. On another night, when we ordered from the menu we felt the same as we did about Neptune and Schooners. By far our best meal was at Kimono’s which you need to make reservations. The only thing I might add there, bring hearing protection. The place can get very very loud. Lastly on restaurants, we were asked typically more then once by a manager and server the following per meal and we believe it’s not by accident. “‘Is or was’ your food good?” It puts you in a position to only say yes. We kind of shrugged it off at first, but we believe this is part of the vacation packaging for guests. It’s not that the food isn’t good, it just isn’t typically fresh made to order Michelin Star. In conclusion we happen to come on property on March 12 right when the world was ramping up Covid-19 precautions. The property we were told was at about 80% full on arrival, but we slowly saw the resort empty out as we left on March 21st, 3 days before the islands went on lock down. So our thoughts go out to all the nice staff at Beaches, like Concierge Shanika, and Mousi who brought us drinks out on the beach everyday we were there with a most infectious smile and attitude. If there was someone I wish I could have tipped it was him, and our housekeepers too!! …
We had our inaugural trip to Beaches at Turks & Caicos and it was an outstanding trip to say the least. The staff went above and beyond to make us happy and the French Village was recommended to us and it was fantastic. The food at EVERY place we dined at the Resort was very good. The Beach is gorgeous and there is something for everyone to do. Diving, Snorkeling, Swimming, Spa, Beach, Bars, Shopping, Kids Water Park etc.....Loved it.
My grandparents took us there for their 50 anniversary. Loved the service . They were so nice to us. We love sports. and they had a ton for us We loved it there. Little rough with the flight but overall. BEST VACA EVER.
a waste of a lot of money.. we were a party of 4 and every single person had a bad time. we have had many family vacations over the years and this is by far the worst. our room was truly horrible we stayed in the french village which had all mixed match furniture, a t.v. the wasnt centered between the 2 FULL bed (when they were supposed to be queens). It was a mission just to get a drink, which has happened to me on a cruise ship but never at an empty pool. there were many of times when my family would have to walk up to the bar instead of the waitress coming to us. the waitress who would be talking to other members of staff for a 1/2 hour at a time. At one point my sister was awkwardly asked if the waitress had given her any service all day by a manager while the waitress was standing right there. the same waitress who had been at the "infinity pool" was the one of the worst we had come by she some how managed to forget my order even though I was one of the 2 people. the drinking age at grand turk is 18 which my sister and I are several years older yet we had to carry our ids with us which was annoying and possibly dangerous. There were some staff who were great and it was very clear that they put the only good staff members as hosts because all other staff we came into contact with were truly horrible. we witnessed a customer service lady screaming at a different guest when she asked for a golf cart. the beaches had trash all over them. I got a large shard of glass in my foot. the vendors were truly irritating, I would like to mention that "Beaches" does not own the beach at turks so its not their responsibility to deal with them but if you go here you will have to deal with them. The gift shops were subpar, with the weirdest collection of sunglasses, incredibly jacked up prices of the billabong products. With the original price of items ripped off. there are also many issues with…
Stayed in the Carribean village. What can I say - outstanding! Even under the circumstances of the Global Pandemic, the staff maintained their professionalism, attention to detail and over all care. I would recommend this resort to anyone. Outstanding. We will be back! Neptunes Restaurant, Sky Restaurant for Breakfast, Kimonos are a must. Special thanks to all of the staff, and the Manager of the Carribean Village, Salvatore for his attention, and Dennis, cook at Neptunes for making us smile.
