My family just visited the West Bay Club for the first time. The friendly and welcoming staff told us about their Kids Club when we checked in. It's a separate space for kids where they participate in a variety of activities. We were told a woman named Margaret ran it and everyone at the club spoke of how great she was. We weren't sure we'd send our son, 4, there, but he said yes when we offered and so off he went on our first day. By the time we left a few days later, our son had spent a ton of time at the club, despite our multiple attempts to have him do something else. Each time we went to pick him up, he told us how much fun he was having and that he wanted to stay. Sometimes there were other kids there, sometimes it was just him, but each time, he had an awesome experience, thanks to Margaret. She is so kind and has such a wonderful way with children that really connects with them. Other parents we spoke with whose kids also visited the kids space said their kids had the same experience - they loved their time with Margaret and didn't want to leave each day. Our son built a rocket, went on a scavenger hunt, made a necklace, played superheroes and other activities that made him want to go back. If you're traveling with young kids and are looking for ways to keep them busy in a fun, productive, even educational way that lets you enjoy your vacation a bit as well, stay at the West Bay Club. Margaret is the jewel of the club and she will give your children such a wonderful experience. Margaret is the best - from her demeanor, her patience and the way she connects with kids, she is just the type of person you want your kids to spend time with. We left wanting to visit the West Bay Club again in large part to how terrific Margaret was.…
We stayed in the one bedroom luxury unit and it was great for space, amenities (fully functioning kitchen, in unit laundry, 6-8 water bottles provided everyday), cleaning, and the ocean view. The service was the best we received on the island. The pool was nice, the beach area was nice and big, and having walked the whole length of Grace bay we can say with certainty that it was also one of the nicest parts of the 12 mile beach. I will be honest though - the units were very overpriced. We were paying $1000 a night for an apartment that even in New York City would be going at half the price (at the higher price range). We could also hear when guests staying above us moved chairs around - and this has to do with a lack of cushioning pads under the chairs and jnot the best construction.in addition on our first night some machine on the property went hay wire and you could hear this loud obnoxious sound for about a good 30-45 mins at 2am in the morning before it was fixed/shutdown. The resort didn't apologize and when we asked the front desk what had happened the day shift staff didn't even know about the incident. All in all this place provides a lot of comforts but at $1000 it does not offer value for money anywhere in the world (which is a general theme if you are visiting Turks and Caicos).…
I have been to West Bay Club many times with my husband. This time on a girls only vacation. It has become my favorite vacation spot. A short direct flight from NYC and you are in paradise. Beautiful weather, lovely relaxing hotel, warm and friendly staff. When I leave I am always planning my return.
We loved our overall experience at West Bay Club!! Would 100% recommend! Perfect spot if you want to sit back relax on the beach or pool, also close to airport! Fun activities like snorkeling and easy taxi ride to shops and nearby restaurants! We were most amazed by how supportive and friendly all of the staff was, special shout out to Domareo for making us feel very welcomed! Inclusive breakfast every morning was also super convenient and nice workout room available! Suites were well worth it-clean, spacious and beautiful ocean-front views! Would definitely stay there again!
West Bay Club was a perfect location for our recent family vacation (with children ages 5 and almost 4), which also served as my "babymoon," as I'm nearly 7mo pregnant. We were very impressed with nearly all aspects of our stay, particularly with the excellent professionalism and responsiveness of the staff (far exceeding even several of the "more luxurious" resorts we have stayed in the Caribbean), the quality of food (truly outstanding and inspired, never boring), and most uniquely the care at the Kids Club. The receptionists, food service, and beach service staff were all really top notch. I was honestly prepared for far less attentiveness considering how laid back and boutique the place is, so we were very pleasantly surprised by all levels of service. The food was really, really good. The only minor suggestion I'd have on it was that while the daily breakfast always offered a nice variety, it did not vary from day-to-day. Not a problem at all though, considering their decent food variety. The Kids Club was outstanding. It is open 9-12 and 1-4 (and complementary with your stay!), so somewhat limited hours, but Margarette, the Kids Club director was as lovely as she was inventive and kind to our boys. She was flexible and fun, and my boys begged to go! We have been to a handful of similarly situated and staffed Kids Club on Turks and Jamaica, and hands down, Margarette was the most engaged, creative, fun, and kind director we have ever encountered. HUGE benefit! The grounds and room were also gorgeous. I was very impressed with how immaculately they tended to the landscaping and general aesthetic. It's not overdone, but it's lovely. We stayed in an Oceanfront Luxury One Bedroom suite that was beautiful and CLEAN. (The housekeeping was excellent -- twice daily, thorough, nice, and never coming at odd times.) Our only issue of our whole stay was worth flagging here though -- we rented a one bedroom that claimed a pull out couch, which we planned to use for our small boys, but the couch did not pull out. We were told later than the units are individually owned and rented, so the owner of our unit must have updated with a non-pull-out couch. It could have been a real damper on our time, but the Club accommodated us by allowing us use of an adjoining studio room, which was VERY gracious and kind of them. They called twice to make sure we were happy, which we definitely were. I'd just advise that if you're hoping for a pull-out, ensure there is actually one in the room that you're being assigned. Otherwise, our room, view, and balcony were all stunning. Everything in the kitchen worked perfectly, no odd glitches that often accompany these kinds of rentals. I could go on and on about how perfect this place was for our young families (lots of families were staying there that week). It's a perfect low-key place for pool, beach, good food. Not huge variety but consistent, great service.…
"From what we could see, every room is fantastic as this quiet place is right on the beach and the pool is very close to all rooms."Read full review
