Rising majestically above its 49 room sister resort Anse Chastanet, a 600 acre beach front property, Jade Mountain is a cornucopia of organic architecture celebrating St Lucia’s stunning scenic beauty. The 29 luxury suites are called sanctuaries, sweeping spaces where bedroom, living area and an extravagant private infinity pool glide into one another to form extraordinary platforms floating out into nature. With the fourth wall entirely absent, Jade Mountain’s sanctuaries are stage-like settings from which to embrace the full glory of St Lucia’s Pitons World Heritage Site and the Caribbean Sea. Jade Mountain has set a new standard in the Caribbean whether it is for modern design, luxury living or unique resort and guest service experiences.Wrapped around an infinity pool with a dazzling kaleidoscope of colors, the Jade Mountain Club restaurant caters exclusively to resident guests, celebrating James Beard Award winner Chef Allen Susser’s “Jade Cuisine.” Hovering in space above the Jade Mountain Club is the Celestial Terrace, perfect for sunset cocktails or star-gazing.A wide range of spa services can be enjoyed in the privacy of the Jade Mountain sanctuaries or at Kai en Ciel, Jade Mountain’s boutique spa and fitness studio. The resort major domos and a dedicated resort team ensure outstanding service around the clock.Guests may enjoy the exclusivity and privacy of Jade Mountain plus access to all of Anse Chastanet’s facilities and services: Nestled amidst a lush tropical 600 acre tropical estate with two soft sand beaches bordering pristine coral reefs, Anse Chastanet is right in the heart of the island’s marine reserves with St. Lucia’s legendary twin peaks, the Pitons, as the dramatic backdrop. The active will enjoy the resort’s amazing range of adventure facilities. Facilities include 4 restaurants & 3 bars, professional spa, PADi 5* scuba centre, water sports with kayaking centre, 12 miles of private biking and hiking trails with mountain bike rental, sailing yacht, 3 boutiques, library and art gallery.

We’ve been home exactly 1-week after a 6-night stay at Jade Mountain. It was spectacular. This was our first time in St. Lucia, but we travel to the Caribbean at least twice a year. We booked one of their promotional packages almost a year in advance for our 10th anniversary (5-nights for the cost of 4-nights). Friends tried to join us last minute, but the hotel was sold out during our stay. We opted against the Romance Package because we felt we wouldn’t do many of the included excursions. However, we did opt for the All-Inclusive option. Here’s our experience and recommendations (this is long):

Room: My husband wanted a Moon category, however after doing some research and looking at the various options I chose the Star Room and requested JE2 or JD2 prior to arrival. We got JE2. We loved the location on the top level (tip: the shuttle stops at both the A and E levels). Great view of the ocean and Pitons, but no sunset view in this room (I believe only the Sun rooms with a -1 ending will have a sunset view). It is a very large Star room with a big pool and sunny patio area. This room has great light throughout the day and a constant breeze. The other Star rooms are mostly on the A-level, but there is one on every level. We loved JE2 and we would request it again (but next time we may opt for a Sun room). The butlers or majordomos are fantastic. They quickly answered our calls and even retrieved my phone for me when we went to the beach and I forget it in our room.

Mosquitos weren't a huge issue, considering the room is open. But they are there! The hotel provides a natural spray repellant. However, that didn't work for us. I brought my own Off repellant with DEET. That worked.

Arrival: We chose the helicopter transport on arrival to avoid the road and start our vacation quickly! Luckily, we had a minimal wait at the airport. One couple had arrived right before us and the other couple was on our flight (6 passengers in total). It was our first helicopter ride and it will be our last! It’s a quick ride, but it soon started to rain. The helicopter was extremely bumpy and kept dramatically dipping and dropping in elevation. Luckily, I could not see the pilot, but my husband was sitting right behind him and watched him do paper work with the joy stick propped between his legs the entire flight. We chose the luxury car service for departure. I took a Dramamine before we left (just in case). I feel the Owners could easily pave that stretch of road, but nevertheless, it was an enjoyable drive. It’s not as bad as other reviews indicate.

Food: Food at the Jade Club was fantastic. Not Michelin star, but close. We enjoyed every meal. It was a lot of food and we honestly could not eat as much as we wanted to! The all-inclusive package is still worth it, especially if you drink alcohol (if you don’t drink, then you’re better off with the MAP. We were full off 2 meals and struggled with the 5-course dinner. My husband started skipping lunch so he could indulge more at dinner). We enjoyed breakfast in our room twice, but we preferred to eat in the restaurant. We had dinner reservations at 6:30pm almost every night and by the time we arrived at 6:30 there were always 3-5 other couples already there (arrive early for an optimal view or table). By 7 or 7:15pm it was dark. And a special nod to Kimran, a server at Jade Club. He provided excellent service and offered recommendations for food and wines by the glass (the wines offered by the glass were very good).

Food on the beach is also good, but more limited options. We made it to the Beach Restaurant on our last day and loved the fish & shrimp skewer (the fish was cooked perfectly) and the curry fish roti. We also booked the Lionfish Dinner on Friday night (at Anse Mamin Beach). This was a great meal, plus we helped safe the reef and they gave us a cook book at the end. We preferred the service at the Anse Chastanet beach (usually quick), but we preferred the ambience at Anse Mamin. The first 2 days at Anse Mamin, there were no other guests before noon. However, there were times when they had several guests (locals and hotel guests) and they were extremely busy.

Excursions: We did the Jazzy Sunset Cruise. Fun. Lots of cocktails flowing. 20 couples on a double decker boat (there was plenty of room to spread out). The Plantation Tour with Meno is a must do (it’s free)! Don’t miss snorkeling. We ventured out once for a half day day to visit to the volcano mud baths, mineral baths at Jerusalem Falls, the Botanical Gardens, lunch in Souffriere, and snorkeling at Sugar Beach. We opted to book this one on our own with a local named “Simon Says”. He picked us up by boat and took us to Souffriere, then we drove from there. There was one other couple from Anse Chastanet who joined us. He actually approached us on the beach our first day and I did some research before we booked. It was a great tour. The other couple had gone with him on a hike up the Pitons the day before. I chose not to book through the hotel because my initial goal was to see the Superman Waterfall or Sapphire falls. The hotel would not book those, but Simon Says also persuaded me away from them (I believe because they are privately owned. So if you want to see those, contact the Owners directly).

Yoga: don’t sleep through the daily yoga. The two instructors are fantastic. I’ve practiced yoga for 20 years (including in NYC for 10 years) and these teachers are great! Their styles are very different, so be sure to try both instructors.

Also, I had a fantastic 1.5 hour massage and facial in the Spa by Theo. It was the "Forget the World" treatment. I opted not to do this treatment in my room so that my husband could enjoy the room without me (he refused to get a massage). The Spa is small, but it was quiet throughout my entire treatment.

Conclusion: it is pricey, but certainly memorable and worth it for a special occasion. We will be back, not annually, but likely for our 15th (or 14th anniversary).

Jade Mountain resort is as equally accommodating as it is beautiful. From initially booking our trip to the time we left the staff goes out of their way to care for every detail. We received explicit pre-travel instructions which were so helpful in navigating COVID restrictions with ease.
I cannot recommend taking advantage of their true romance package as it will save you both time & money in the end. Our transport to and from the airport, all food & most drinks along with many excursions & in suite massages were included.
The resort is stunning with clear views of the pitons & water in all directions. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to their highest sanctuary (Galaxy) which has the best views of all of St Lucia’s beauty. The room is open on three walls so you are literally submerged into paradise. The master domos are incredible in making the stay so blissful. From creating custom schedules, finding us a deck of playing cards, arranging for our dinners & truly anything you ask; they go above & beyond! Huge thank you to Kieran for always answering our calls even in the middle of the night!
Take the time to treat yourself & your loved one to Jade Mountain!

We were most fortunate leaving the cold of UK winter and escaping to this tropical paradise for New Year just before total lockdown!!

With all the concerns of traveling during a pandemic, should we still go? Would we get value for money? Would we feel we should wait and get the full package another year?
Whilst I'm not going to keep mentioning COVID the way St Lucia and the hotel managed the whole scenario was nothing short of super in every way, all carefully thought through, with lots of sanitation / temperature checks daily. Even. paper menus used just once. Obviously masks were worn by all staff and guests except during meal times.
Therefore full enjoyment and no worries.

We have previously stayed at Anse Chastnet on two occasions so know the layout of Jade Mountain.
Traveling from the airport has been well documented as a little bumpy too say the least! But in fairness it's only the last few miles that are a little stomach churning and just think you're nearly there!! Or take the helicopter.

We had we think an amazing room JC3 / Moon Sanctuary which is situated about in the middle of Jade Mountain. With commanding views of the iconic Piton's and the sea you could spend all day looking at the view from your infinite pool !! On walking over your bridge to the very large hardwood door where your experience commences.

My wife had one other concern! We are visiting a pretty high end hotel with no A/C? Well no worries here as on night two she asked for a blanket as instead of being hot she was a little cold!!!!
So don't worry having the forth wall missing is amazing.

Unfortunately on this review I can say nothing about room service but that's because we preferred going and eating at Jade Club for all our meals. I would be confident that if room service is your thing you wouldn't be disappointed.
At Jade Club restaurant the food is of a very good standard, all being local from their farm or from the island.
We did our best eating a healthy breakfast with embarrassingly three courses for lunch and full evening dinner. All meals were excellent particularly the daily catch of Tuna or Kingfish Snapper too name a few.

If you like walking this is a hotel for you! If you don't like walking or just flat paths with elevators then you might think again.

We are non gym people but active and took the walk down the hill to the beaches every day . Probably around 20 minutes to Anse Mamin beach and the walk back will definitely get your heart rate up!!

So, all in all COVID or not it's a fabulously romantic hotel or somewhere for total relaxation which we highly recommend and hope we can return some day in the not too distant future despite the big bucks!!

Just go.

I read numerous reviews before booking this trip. Some were complaining about the last mile road which is definitely in need of repair but if that influences your decision this place isn’t for you because this place is just perfect. I’m not a travel expert but I travel both domestically and internationally to very nice places. The only reason we didn’t come before is I have a personal hang up about connecting flights, I can go to Costa Rica, New York, Cancun, and San Francisco all direct. We chose the moon sanctuary because we are mostly night owls and like sitting in a nice infinity pool staring at the stars. This is by far the largest infinity pool and the fact that it is indoor and is almost the length of the room is very impressive. I say indoor but this room isn’t enclosed, for the worries about bugs or irritants do not worry as there aren’t any and the bed is also enclosed for extra unnecessary protection. I also chose the full inclusive experience because I enjoy baselining financials but you always end up paying more for spa, experiences, etc but not drinks or food. I enjoy not only finding the place to visit but the most optimal resort/hotel to stay in. For the money I expected a lot, I normally go to la fortuna, Costa Rica for about half this amount although not inclusive so depending on your wants and requirements it’s probably not half. For the money we spent I had high expectations, they were exceeded. Room, experience, quality, diversity of food, and service exceeded our expectations. There are only 3 restaurants and we generally only enjoying staying 4-5 nights because we get bored of food, lack of entertainment, missing our friends, and lack of experiences. While in Covid we still went deep sea fishing and went to the mud bath which is amazing. Related to food the several restaurants rotate their cuisine so you don’t get bored. All of that made it a 5 star experience, what even overachieved that mark were the major dolo/butlers. They are 24/7 support resources dedicated to making your stay optimal. All are professional and great but for my wife and my personality we preferred teddy because of his engagement and personality. The beach staff are so great. All this during a pandemic, will return soon.

My 6th visit and as always we had a marvelous time. The rooms are beautiful. The resort calls them Sanctuaries which is a perfect description. Each room has its own infinity pool and an amazing view of the Pitons as they plunge into the sea. The staff makes sure that the rooms are very clean and inviting at all times. Our major domos were available at all times to provide information and arrange for services and reservations. Everyday we received a Bento box of delicious fresh treats in our fridge and in the evening when we returned from dinner the beds were turned down and the cozy welcoming lighting was turned on. We were there to scuba dive and Scuba St Lucia, the resort’s dive operation, is second to none. They always provide us with a wonderful experience and take us to beautiful reefs filled with all kinds of interesting sea life. Our Master Divers Dave and Bradley knew just how to find fascinating creatures and at all times kept our safety in mind. They were able to work well with people who had a variety of experience and skill and made sure everyone was having a great experience. Our boat captain Jungle was excellent too and they were all really fun to talk to when we were on board. We also took an interesting tour of the old plantation with Meno, our guide. He was a wealth of information about the history of the plantation Anse Maman and about the plants and wildlife there. He told us about his grandmother who knew how to use the local plants to heal people. It was a fascinating experience and one I highly recommend if you visit the resort. The resort was also very prepared to prevent COVID exposure. All areas were extra clean, there was good distancing and several staff members told me that they had been fully vaccinated. Masks are required when walking through the restaurants except when eating or drinking but almost everything is open air so that exposure of any kind is minimal. If you want to have the vacation of a lifetime this is the place to do it.

The Jade Mountain is the nicest five star stay I've ever had - anywhere. Fair warning you will leave spoiled as other getaways will pale in comparison. The rooms, called sanctuaries, are truly incredible offering breathtaking views, a private plunge pool, and a beautiful canopy bed where you can sleep under the stars at the perfect temperature every night. The dining is equally incredible and changes each night. You'll be pampered by the majordomos who are always there to cater to you at any time. This was the most beautiful trip and an unforgettable stay of a lifetime.

Room JC5 Moon sanctuary, we were up graded to this. Where do I start, breakfast in the room , eggs royal cold , cold plates ,wrap in cling film ! Swimming in oil. Toast cold and not toasted.my full English breakfast stone cold, also wrap in cling film, toast cold to, to be fair the only thing hot was my hash browns because in was deep fired. Now the evening meal , for 4 of us, very very dark in restaurant area, there is low lighting, and inadequate lighting. To use our mobile lights on phones to read menus and try to eat our meals. Was a joke,we were not offered and additional lighting, and it was my parteners brother birthday to,and completely spoiled the evening celebration, not 5 star dinning or accommodation as we know it.The owners need to do a individual room inspection and refurbishment of the hotel. Which opened its door’s December 2006 and it shows it not the jewel it was. It very much spoiled are stay. Would recommend the fantastic view from room ,and that is all, would not recommend at this time, a lot of money for a disappointing stay.

We stayed at Jade Mountain in January and it was the final destination forming our honeymoon in St Lucia. Due to covid we had to wait to an extra year to finally get there, but it was certainly worth the wait. The overall resort is truly spectacular, a real feat of engineering and design. Our room was wonderful, I would note that the style of the rooms and materials used to create them are very traditional to the Caribbean.

Our major domos Kieran and Vito were wonderful and were welcoming and attentive to all of our needs. They were particularly accommodating when we checked out as we were on the last flight out of St Lucia at 8:50pm and managed to get us accommodation for the afternoon on site so that we could shower and freshen up after a day at the resort before we departed.

All staff at the Jade Club restaurant were also wonderful. We were on the all inclusive package and would highly recommend it. The food and drinks available from Jade Club, room service and the sister resort at Anse Chastenet were absolutely amazing and delicious. Make sure you try the chocolate from the Emerald Estate!

We participated in several activities which we would highly recommend. The rum tasting on a Sunday afternoon was really good fun. The sunrise yoga on the celestial terrace must be done at least once during your stay! One essential activity we would say all guests should partake in is the guided plantation walk with Meno aka Father Nature, he is an incredible guide and overall really interesting person! We also absolutely loved doing the Tandoori cooking class with Chef Ruban - he was so patient, engaging and provided us with lots of information and tips my husband and I really enjoyed the class and the food we made was delicious.

If you are staying at Jade on a Monday don’t miss out on the welcome drinks - it was a great way of finding out more about the resort and meeting so many people within the wider operations team who work so hard to provide its residents with a truly spectacular stay.

Make sure you make a stop at the celestial terrace before or after dinner to do the most incredible stargazing, it was truly out of this world!

When it came to our departure we didn’t want to leave! We will be back…..one day!

We stayed for our honeymoon, and couldn't have picked a better place. The views from the bridges and the room were just absolutely stunning, the room was huge with an infinity pool, loungers, huge bed and jacuzzi bath. Our pool lights didn't work but that didn't spoil the experience.
We stayed in the Star Sanctuary with an amazing view of both Piti and Gros Pitons.
The food was incredible, no matter which course with entertainment in the evenings which varied each day, as did the menu. All the staff were friendly and made some good recommendations for food when we were unsure.
The rooftop was a great place to sit either before or after dinner to stare at the stars and listen to the nightlife. Side note: the cicadas are loud! They provide earplugs in the rooms.
You can call for a shuttle to the beach, or back to your room or even half way down to the other restaurants. The spa is a great experience and the staff are very welcoming and talented.
We had 3 Major Domos throughout the day and all were fantastic, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
It's about 600 steps down to the beach, you get lounger service for drinks and food. Snorkeling is a must around the reefs and if you are trained, do the scuba diving. They have other watersports available, a spa on the beach, beach bar and a few boutiques.
Your Major Domo can arrange excursions for you to do, we did the Sunset Jazz Cruise which was amazing, we saw dolphins and had a beautiful sunset, we also saw the original Jade Mountain resort which was never completed due to it being built to close to the cliff edge.
As the rooms only have 3 walls you can request a room with 4. They will be nowhere near as stunning but will provide peace from the cicadas and safety from mosquitos.
I recommend signing up for all inclusive meal plan as it's stress free and easy and all you need to do is sign the receipt.

By far my favorite luxury hotel

Went on couples trip and from the moment we arrived the service was spectacular. The views are breathtaking and never get old. The rooms are known as sanctuaries, and well equipped with a comfortable king size bed, sofa, and private infinity pool. The mini refrigerator is stocked daily with refreshments and water. Our majordomo (butler) was at our beckon call, always with a smile on his face. The food was tasty and fresh. The staff seemed to go out of their way to ensure we were having the time of our lives. This place is not to be missed. We will be repeat customers.

We had the romance package with our trip. Everything was included even the majordomo tip. During the trip all our meals and services were given with a receipt that showed the cost. We always tipped even though it was included (20% for great service and down from there). They really appreciated it. We also tipped on the trips we took chocolate lab, scuba, snorkeling, etc. At the end we tipped our majordomos (we had 4) extra cash as they went above and beyond for us. We really wanted for nothing. We also gave envelopes to the housekeeping staff. Every day we came back they had left a beautiful folding of origami birds on the bed done in towels and petals. So nice!

Here’s what I remember, we needed our adapter. We are from the U.S. and I’m almost certain it was a European adapter? Here’s what I’m 100% certain of, whatever adapters you may need, this world class resort will provide for you.

It does, but it requires effort to get to it. Nothing too crazy. Spoiler alert: It’s absolutely worth it! Jade Mountain - the resort - is up high. The beach is a fairly dramatic downhill walk, and even more acute is the walk back! But they have shuttles that’ll take you right to the sand. Wave runners, boats, paddle boards and the softest sand that I’ve ever felt! The issue is finding the motivation to leave the room. Jade Mountain is brilliantly stunning!
