The resort was decent at best. We had a couple of items taken from our room and reported it to the concierge lounge. Two representatives came to our room to investigate and promised to provide an update later that evening (Wednesday). It is now Sunday and we still have not heard back from the representatives. This was a total disappointment.

I had such a great time at Sandals MoBay! Kemar was so kind to us from day one. Fantastic Jay was a great performer and super nice. O’Shane was super kind and made us feel like like we were home. Antony was hilarious and kept us laughing. Kevaun was a great performer and host. They all showed us so much kindness and we will definitely return! Our butlers Antonio and Cassandra were amazing! The facilities and overall service were spectacular!!!

My wife and I went on a 4 night getaway for one of the first times without our 2 boys and decided on this Sandals to try something different. This was our first Sandals experience. We had the Butler Service and stayed on the ground level with a Swim out pool. I've got to say that if you can afford the Butler service, I highly recommend it. It makes everything you want to do effortless which makes for a completely stress free vacation. It starts with the Airport experience as you go right into the VIP area, get a beer and within 5 minutes we were in a BMW heading to the resort 8 minutes away. From there, your bags are taken and you are brought into the VIP check in area. Once our butler arrived (Cassandra), she took us to our room and our bags were dropped off. From there we discussed our dinner reservations and everything else that we requested prior to arriving was fulfilled. We were set up with our front row Palapa every day and our cooler filled with our requested beverages. Besides the butler service, there were plenty of Wait Staff walking the beach to take food and drink orders. The beach: was great, not too crowded and what we really liked was that there weren't any vendors walking the beach and the boat traffic in front of the resort was minimal and quiet. We frequently go to Aruba and the boats are constantly running all day so this was a peaceful surprise. Cleanliness: The entire resort is meticulous and extremely clean. Room: The room was clean, not huge but ample size with a separate closet which was nice. Shower had 2 shower heads with great pressure. All units have ductless splits for A/C and kept the room extremely cool and quiet. Restaurants: Loved Soy (went back to back nights and the Sushi Chef John was great) We asked him to get creative and make us whatever he thought would be good and did not dissappoint. We had a great meal at Butch's and Oleander was good not great. We had the breakfast buffet every day and did not disappoint. We also stopped at the dessert shop every night and got ice cream or some pastries. Some of the pastries were hit or miss but overall a great late night sweet stop. We ordered a room service snack one night and received it within 15 minutes and was great. Butler Service: As I mentioned earlier, it is amazing. They are a phone call away for anything and truly want to make your experience as pleasant as possible. Every night we would receive a Charcutierre platter and fruit platter before dinner which was a great snack, our bath was drawn one day with flowers laid out, and our room was turned down every night. Entertainment: Every night we ended up in the lobby watching and being entertained by locals. They were all talented and perfect entertainment. Bars: There are plenty of bars, each with a different feel but our favorite was Latitudes which is at the end of the pier. Leading to the bar were fire pits with couches surrounding them and then as you get to the bar at the end of the pier, there are nets that are over the water that you can lay on and relax with your beverages. They also have lights on the water underneath if you want to check out the fish. Service: Like so many others mention, the people make this resort special. They truly want to help and will stop and take the time to do so no matter what they are doing. Our first experience with Sandals was extremely positive and we ended up booking a return trip to another property and that says it all. Hope you enjoy your trip as well!

Thoughts on my stay at the Sandals Montego Bay facility, from June 20 to 24. I have been coming to Jamaica with my wife for many years and stayed around the island, sometimes twice a year. This is my first stay at a Sandals. I love Jamaica, always have, and that is why I keep coming back. Jamaica IS its people. I love them dearly and have made many friends there, some I have kept in contact. Never did one pass by me on this resort without giving me a nice greeting. I have so much fun with them. Your Sandals facility is an absolute paradise and a photographer’s dream. I shot more than 200 photos while there and loved the planes flying close overhead, a great challenge to shoot, albeit sometimes scary, like threading a needle or shooting a fish with a bow and arrow in a barrel. I am a fanatic for buffets, why I always stay at all-inclusives. I can mix and match whatever I want. I used mostly the Bayside restaurant (Hi! Gramalia, what a delight, drop me a line, you have my business card) and chose not to use the formality of most of the restaurants. I did try the Oleander once, much to my disappointment. The chicken supreme, from a limited menu, was as tough as nails, as were the vegetables. I even let our server try cutting the chicken to make my point, and she agreed. I told her it was not her fault. I might have tried Cucina Romano, but it is two flights up and no elevator. My knees keep telling me no. I love the Bayside but am disappointed it has buffets only for breakfast and lunch. I realize COVID played a big part, but if you can do buffet with the same arrangements as breakfast and lunch, why not dinner. Matter of fact, the breakfasts are so satisfying, and the food so fantastic, I did not return for lunch, so I cannot comment on them. Instead, I went to the Jerk Shack. I could not wait to get back to my favorite, jerk chicken. The Jerk Shack was good, not great, but good, only because it is not that kick-me-in-the-butt spicy enough chicken I am used to in Jamaica. But tender, oh, my, melt-in-your-mouth-tender. Strangely enough, I could not find Ting on the premises. Not even in the room refrigerators. No one seemed to know. I had to get my Ting fix at the airport on the way out. Has it somehow fallen out of grace? Regarding the overall facilities, it is just a little too big and spread out for me. But that is just me. Along the way the grounds are beautiful and perfectly manicured, a pleasant walk in any direction. Point in question: The walk from my room to the Bayside is around 10 minutes. Not good. Especially in the morning. I am used to getting on an elevator to the lobby where my Blue Mountain coffee always is waiting for me. And, I do not make coffee in my room, nor eat in my room, (gross) I am here to relax, not work. Suggestions: In my room, 502, the bathroom door, when closed, lacks a handle to open the door from the inside like some of the other rooms. One could get stuck in the bathroom if not careful and aware. The long walk, as I mentioned, to the Bayside or lobby means either walking up a flight of outside stairs to the lobby level or using a service ramp next to it. A sign at that area says to use the stairs. I do not do stairs. Although a little precarious, I did use the ramp. What are others like me to do? While manageable, it would be better to smooth out the ramp with a lesser incline and install a handrail. Would make life much easier for workers and visitors. My favorite spot of the whole resort: The bar near the beach, where I spent most of the time, at the far the end of the lobby. What a beautiful view and open all around to enjoy the sea breeze. The bar help is entertaining. The lobby is where great nightly entertainment is and can also be enjoyed from the bar. Entertainer Remone Watson has a magnificent voice, second to none, the most talented vocalist I have heard in years. I would fly back just to hear him. I ask you to tell him to post some of his work on You Tube. The nightly pianist, I am sorry I did not get his name, has the most magical, talented fingers ever combined with such a pleasant demeanor. Shelly Bartley and Ricardo from Entertainment, Dwight Kerr from Housekeeping . I had excellent service I enjoyed Shelly’s singing and Ricardo’s I also enjoy Dwight’s singing. The lady from Island routes has a great personality. I would recommend coming to sandals Montego Bay. The service is excellent, the food is great the bayside restaurant, tokoyo jos, the dinos pizzeria, the Mariners grill are all amazing. The housekeeper made a towel puppy for us, I forgot her name but it’s a lady who always has a pink flower in her hair and she has been with the company for a very long time. The service was great I enjoyed myself I’m coming back for my anniversary. My anniversary is July 4 next year this is my spot.

This is the 8th Sandals resort my husband and I have been to. While the resort aesthetics overall nice, the service could have been better in regards to responsiveness. Termites entered my room at bedtime due to rain and it took an hour for housekeeping to come. I went nearly two days without washcloths after requested. My mini fridge was not being maintained. The food was not great. Tokyo Jo’s, Butch’s and the Italian restaurants were good. No good breakfast or lunch options. This is by far the worst resort we’ve been to.

We just came back from our honeymoon at Sandals Montego Bay. It was the perfect choice for a couple that did not want to plan anything else after their wedding. We wanted a beach where we could relax but a fun-loving environment. Montego Bay was the perfect blend of activities, energy, food, and relaxation. Our butlers Cassandra and Antonio were wonderful. Be sure to stop by the piano bar and enjoy a sing-a-long with Kayle! We got the best massages out on the water from the Red Lane Spa (oh, I wish I could remember the names of our masseuses! Kass--- may have been one? They were incredible.). Other highlights included snorkeling, an excursion to the luminous lagoon, eating at Soy, taking baths on our beach walk out patio space, volleyball, and winding down the night in the hammocks at Latitudes.

Had an absolutely terrific time at Sandals in Montego Bay Jamaica! They do not disappoint when it comes to service. They take care of your ever need. The resort is very well maintained - from the lush and colorful landscaping, to the dining areas to the white sugary beaches. They make you feel like you are the most important person there at every turn. I would highly recommend becoming part of the Sandal's family! We have already booked our next trip!!
