You just can't judge a book by its cover. When I finally found this "small" hotel I was a bit worried. I just did not like the parking situation so immediately my first impression was I made a mistake, but as soon as I walked into the room, it kind of grew on me. The room was

We just returned from Plaza Florida suites after staying here for 6 nights. We picked this hotel because it was 3 blocks from the local hospital which I unfortunately had to stay in too. While I was in the hospital for 2 nights my wife was here alone feeling totally safe. The

After we landed and cleared customs, we got into our taxi about 3pm. It took us about 30 minutes to reach the hotel. I used reservations at santodomingotaxi. His name is Ken, from the US and speaks fluent Spanish as well. I ultimately used his services the entire week. He became like a 2nd family because he was VERY helpful and protective. He has some drivers that speak English but ours (Angel) did not - but that was ok too. I think it cost me and my daughter $40 total one-way to the hotel. He accepts USD and Dominican pesos.Hope this helps but please do not hesitate to ask me more questions. Enjoy Republica Dominicana.
