We enjoyed the hospitality and kindness of Natércia for 5 days and enjoyed every minute of it. Lovely place, very nice decorated with attention for detail and well equipped rooms. Breakfasts were one of the best we had in Portugal, with different things every day 😋. Don't let the location scare you: it's just a short drive to good beaches and very good restaurants. Would recommend without hesitation.

This place was truly amazing. The room was so beautiful and very clean with a nice and comfortable bed. It was honestly one of the most quiet and peaceful places we’ve ever stayed. It was wonderful to be surrounded by nature and just listen to the birds every morning with not hear even the distant sound of traffic. The view from the room is spectacular. The temperature was perfect in May so we could sleep with the windows open and didn’t need the air conditioner at all. Natercia was so kind and always helpful when we had questions. She’s the perfect host! And the breakfasts were delicious! She served a variety of things and every morning was different. We stayed for 10 days and wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we’ll skip Lisbon and head straight here! We hope that we can go back because it was such a relaxing vacation. Also, there are plenty of beautiful beaches and good restaurants within short driving distance. We can’t even find the right words to say how much we loved this place! If you are looking for peace and quiet and enjoy nature this is the right place to stay. It is perfectly located and makes it a good starting point to the nearby beaches, the hinterland of Costa de Vicente and also the Algarve. The room is lovely decorated, making you feel at home. The terrace with its perfect view has its own charm. The room was always clean. Natércia is the perfect host – always warm, friendly and helpful. You can feel that she puts her heart into her guest rooms and that makes it such a special place. During our stay, the host was very nice. We left a positive review on Airbnb, but after that, she gave us a rather negative review. She said we would be "more suitable for a hotel." We forgot to pay for two small bottles of water. We had our room cleared of our belongings by 10:30, and then we had breakfast. Apparently, having breakfast after 10:30 was a big problem for her. She also claimed the bedding was damaged, which we have no idea about. In short, she is very precise and fairly strict, which isn't very relaxing when you're on holiday. What annoys me the most is that she saw us after she had already cleaned the room a bit and didn't mention any of this. She acted very nice and even said we would be welcome another time. She probably did that to get a good review, which I can't change anymore. Now I'm left with a bit of an insulting review.

It feels like you would be staying with friends while you are on holiday, that's how we would describe our time at Monte do Sapeiro. It's an amazing place to be. If you saw the pictures of this place and you liked them you should continue reading. Why a place for all senses? This place is in the middle of a beautiful landscape and Pedro and Natercia have directed the rooms (just 2) with view over the valley. In the morning you can watch the sun rise from your room, but also on several days you can enjoy passing the mist coming from the seaside. It's a pleasure to wake up. The next pleasure is the breakfast - there is all and more. Every day a different joy of taste made by Natercia (marmalade, cake, cookies etc). Then we would recommend going to the small market and buying fresh fish and regional vegetables for dinner. Good biological Portuguese wine you can buy at Monte do Sapeiro. If you are not sure or need a recommendation which beach or trip is the best ask Natercia or Pedro and they will tell you about the weather, wind or tide. After being on the beach (great surfing spots), countryside or what ever you like, coming back to Monte do Sapeiro you will find a place to relax. As you already could see on the photos this place is very individually decorated with a lot of sense for detail. In this environment its easy to find a place with fits your mood. If you like, you can prepare your dinner at Monte do Sapeiro, if you need tips Pedro is happy to support, try sardines or lulas with onion and garlic from the grill. Finish your dinner with a Medronho made by Pedro. If you are not in the mood for cooking try one of the traditional restaurants in the area, there is a solution for every taste. If you look for something special you should ask for tips. Monte do Sapeiro is a great place to stay but more than this it is Natercia and Pedro who make the difference. It is their personal way of hospitality and their love for the region and tradition that makes a holiday memorable. We were very happy to be their guests at this beautiful place.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Location, price, service, rooms, views and atmosphere were all exquisite. It is very romantic, set in a remote valley of rolling hills and rising sun. Its a short 4km drive from the nearest beach (A car is needed). Breakfast couldn't be better, with a selection of homemade yoghurts, muesli, breads, jams, teas and cake. Looked forward to waking up to sunrise and breakfast every morning. This B&B is perfect for a couple looking for a quiet retreat. There are many beaches, especially surfing beaches nearby and some quaint restaurants. There is also facilities to cook your own meals. Sagres is a short drive away and well worth visiting. I give this place 11 out of 10 and will be back again most definitely!

Everything was perfect! We had a wonderful stay at Monte Sapeiro and spent over a week at this peaceful place. From the rooms you have a fantastic view over the valley. Natercia and Pedro are very kinds hosts :-)!

we just stayed at Monte do Sapeiro for a week , end of August. It was quiet, sleeping under a bed of stars and waking up to the sun rising over the Bordeira mountains. Our host Natercia made the most healthy and delicate breakfast, always slightly different everyday and it was beautiful to sit outside , the dogs and cats keeping you company , setting yourself up for a day of surf. Its 5 minutes from Amado beach where the waves are great and when you get home you have a place to hang up your wet suits and hose them down. The bedroom is cosy and clean, everything is thought of and they seem also to be ecologically aware without making a big song and dance about it. My only thought was, why don't they have solar panels? But i am sure they are thinking about it, since they seem to have thought of everything else! We will go back here, it feels so natural and feminine and calm, sleeping in between those round hills with the sound of cicadas...

What a wonderful gem of a place this is! I had initally booked 3 nights but ended up staying two weeks in April 2019. As soon as I arrived I was enchanted by the location, by the generosity and hospitality of the family, by the beauty of the nature, and the cosy rooms. I also loved the friendly and cute pets. The wonderful host family immediately makes you feel at home, showers you with great tips for visiting the area and spoils you incredibly with an amazing breakfast. The two modern guest rooms are spotless clean and decorate it with a lot of love for details. It is beautiful to wake up with the sound of the many birds in the morning. There is also a common kitchen and living room facility with an outdoor seating area for the guest which is well-equipped and also very cozy. The Costa Vicentina has plentiful hikes and beaches and Monte do Sapeiro is a great home base to explore the area. Will be back for sure. Thank you Natércia and family for sharing your wonderful place with me.
