Casa Presente is the new name of former Casa Bamboo. The original owners were inspired by a commitment to environmental awareness and they wanted to make use of the local clay soils in the region which make this kind of building possible. This incredible earth based technology creates low environmental impact and an excellent indoor atmosphere during both warm and cold months. The thick walls (60cm) keep away the warmth of hot days in summer and the cold in winter. The high ceilings inclined in wood have good thermal insulation and also create a welcoming atmosphere. The house is divided between the owners residence, the guesthouse accommodation, and the communal space which is also the dining area for guests. Although it is all within the same building, these areas are independent and have an intention to create a place of quiet retreat and sanctuary space.

Its location is spectacular next to the large dunes of the wonderful Bordeira beach. You breathe tranquillity and relaxation. The nights in the patio and. back gardens are incredible, with the sky as full of stars because there is no light pollution at all. And you only hear the sound of the sea. Its impeccably clean rooms are well equipped with very comfortable beds, large closets and good bathrooms. There is also the extraordinary kindness of its owner and her collaborators which impregnate everything. And to complete it all, the breakfast that is included in the price of the room, is a yummy buffet with organic fruits and vegetables, part of them from the garden of the same property, tasty regional breads, home made yogourt, honey, delicious scrambled eggs cooked to order for the client, etc. etc. My wife and I felt like we were in paradise. We will certainly return.

I live in Carrapateira and love the fact that there is a great organic breakfast place in town now, at least in the summer season :)
It was so lovely to sit on the terrace, drink coffee and sample different foods, from bread with a variety of cheese and avocado, tomato as well as granola, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Karlin also prepares eggs depending on your preference and is happy to top up anything from the buffet that runs low.
If you're in town and even if you don't stay at Casa Presente, go and sample the breakfast and enjoy the proximity to the ocean and the peace and quiet.

Luckily we stumbled upon this amazing all organic breakfast that was all you can eat. Everything tasted amazing and felt so fresh. Service as great also the vibe was perfect. Would definitely recommend coming here to eat before hiking around the coast. Just wish they came up in maps as a breakfast restaurant as well so others can find them :)

We were in the area to go horseback riding and stumbled upon this lovely place for breakfast. The owner was very kind, and the food was healthy and delicious. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and hit the beaches after! :)

The breakfast was pretty basic and didn’t look like the pictures provided. Also the stuff didn’t fill the buffet although we arrived at 10am. Too expensive for what you get and really bad coffee. We gonna stay in Carrapateira for a couple of weeks, but won’t return for breakfast at this place. So sad, because the location is beautiful!
