We stayed at the Edgewater Resort in March 2019. We had the best time! A family of four, we found the resort fully accomodated our needs. Our children are pretty high energy and can be loud at times but this didn't phase the staff at the resort. They were so friendly and welcoming and really made our stay. We stayed in one of the garden rooms which met our requirements. Nothing better than sitting on the beach first thing in the morning with a coffee from Mal's Bar watching the sun rise. Bliss! Snorkelling is a must! Cocktail hour was great too-$10 pina colodas! Spaghetti House was perfection, again staff so friendly and welcoming and the food was on point! We are already planning our next trip for July 2020 back to the Edgewater Resort. It is fair to say that Rarotonga is our…
My partner and I stayed at The Edge Water from the 9th of December to the 14th of December 2019. One of ladies at the reception was very rude when asking her about the WiFi. You have to pay for upload costs which is a total rip off! The lady did not care and tried to blame us for not turning off our settings for automatic uploads which we did! Do not buy the wifi and use Blue Sky. After that conversation my partner and I booked airport transfers to leave at 5.30am and paid $45 from The Edge Water to the airport. The lady did not email the company and no shuttle service came until an hour later. The poor shuttle service driver even called the night before to check and the lady did not log it! The hiring scooter place opposite The Edge Water reception desk, the guy was very…
The decor and rooms are in need of repair and a bit tired. Resort had everything we needed. This time the lagoon was calmer and great snorkeling not far out. Maybe a little understaffed at times when having to wait at the Hut for towels etc. Beautiful fresh fruit for breakfast. Would be great if the room had a toaster or microwave. Also had to wait a long time to use the washing machine. Location not too far from town and Muri.
The World’s *MOST* expensive internet for sure I'd suggest! I've travelled an awful lot - to more than 150 countries, and this place has THE highest internet cost I've ever experienced. $15 for a basic (alleged) 150 meg, and $25 for (alleged) 400 meg. Here is the price notice placed on Reception desk. All I do is check emails and visit a few very low drain phpBB static Bulletin Boards. I am 66, and do no movies, no downloads, no facebook, no youtube, no WhatsApp etc - none of that heavy data sucking stuff. I fly regularly on airlines at 40,000 feet that offer free internet connection. It is how things are done in this day and age. Trains, bases, airports, ferries and their terminals all near universally offer it too. Our NZ ''global roaming'' arrangement did not…
I booked my two friends to stay at the resort for 5 days for my wedding in Rarotonga. We were getting married and staying at the Crown Beach Resort and Spa next door. The rooms are very basic and outdated, the rooms had buckets as bins. There was construction going on at the resort which we were not informed about. On the positive side the large pool and bar in front of the beach was nice. There was also a lovely staff member who saw us struggling with bags and immediately came to help. The resort really needs an update!
