This Agriturismo is a hidden gem near the Euganean hills. It is within a 30 minute drive of Venice and Padova and an hour drive to Verona and Vicenza. It is a working farm/winery that has been perfectly restored into gorgeous apartments that can be rented for $82 Euro per night. Breakfast is delicious and includes homemade jams and cakes. It is a great place for families. Our 18 month old daughter loved chasing the ducks and chickens on the property. The owner and property manager are very helpful and accommodating. ---------

My husband and I stayed here for a entire summer and it was AMAZING. The owners are very friendly and the rooms are beautiful. They make wine on premise so you can wander some of the vineyards. Great location to explore many of the small Italian towns or take day trips to Venice, Verona, Paudua, etc.

Ca'Orologio is as good as it gets. Totally brings my fantasy of the Italian countryside to life: vineyards heavy with grapes, scratching chickens and roosters, olive trees, pomegranate trees, lemon trees, purple-stained wine barrels; all in a 600 year old farmhouse that's been renovated with respect. Marina offered a relaxing and elegant welcome: their own wine with cheese and crackers.

We stayed in La Nespole, where I made good use of the bathtub and fireplace. We just used the kitchenette to make tea, coffee and to store yogurt, fruit, pastries in the fridge. The parking is gated, safe and close to the room. The common areas are really the star here - the courtyard with the fruit and olive trees with the vineyard and old church (you can hear the bells ring) off to the right; the old manor house in front of you; and wine making equipment to the left. That wall of the courtyard was covered in color-changing leaves, making a wall of fluttering rainbow. Stunning.

My only complaint (and it is small) is that the towels are thin and rough. But it's a non-issue compared with the many assets of Ca'Orologio. It's located very close to the Euganean hills where there are hot springs and spa towns like Abano Terme. You're an hour from Venice on the train: park 10 minutes away in Monselice for free all day. You're half an hour from ancient college town Padova - see the stunning Scrovegni Chapel with frescos by Giotto. Marina made two dinner reservations for us via email before we even arrived in Italy - she's cheerful, straight-foward, kind and helpful.

Ca'Orologio is simply the best for the money (we paid 110 euros per night) and it ranks right up there with the best B&Bs and country manor houses.

The rooms were very nice, the wine tastings and breakfasts were great, and the help getting to Venice on the train was much appreciated. Also good recommendations for local restaurants. Probably the friendliest people we met in Italy were in the Eugenean Hills area. Their little pool was nice to cool off in, during the hot July days.

Stayed two nights in April 2012. Lovely rustic-feeling place, but with everything modern that you need. Maria (owner) personally baked two different gluten-free breakfast cakes for me, as well as providing GF cereal, bread, and meats/cheeses (I had told her I was celiac); we had a feast for breakfast, awesome! The location is in a quiet little town amidst their vineyards, we ended our trip here after seeing the sights in other cities, and it was the perfect place to relax/unwind before heading home. Staff super friendly and helpful, we were upgraded to a suite as she had one available, at no extra cost. Modern fixtures, really lovely rooms, beautiful grounds to sit and enjoy the sun and wine. Nice small towns (Este and Arqua Petrarca) to visit within a few minutes' drive, Padua 30 min away but we preferred to sit and just enjoy the place instead. Wished we could have stayed longer!

After we had our wedding here in Sep'05 we try to come back when we can. It's amazing! Last visit with our son was lovely; enough room to run around and the small pool in the vineyard is great to cool off in hot summers. Stunning location, nice people, great rooms! The wine is even better!

I run my first yoga retreat in this beautiful venue and was blown away by the simple but elegant charm which so obviously reflects the owner's desire to offer something unique and impeccable. We rented the whole agriturismo out and with 12 of us it felt spacious and uncrowded. The rooms are exquisitely appointed in every detail.
We especially enjoyed the breakfasts. The dining room is lovely as well. The weather was not great but we were able to enjoy the gardens for a few hours and they are so peaceful and beautiful that you just feel relaxed and at ease. The location is great , we visited Padova, Verona , Venice, Este , Arqua and with Monselice station so close we could probably have gone further a field. The owner was very acomodating and helped us with all our requests.
I am already planning next year's retreat ! Thank you Maria Gioia , Paola and Violrika for an unforgetable experience. A presto - Marzia

It is a hidden gem in a lush green rural area. You can take a stroll to the small village and enjoy a very good coffee at the local cafe. When you get out your car you instantly smell the grapes, as it gently wafts around you. The place is immaculate and has seating in the gardens for you to relax in. The rooms are clean and fresh and are spacious with a comfortable bed. Maria assures that her customers are happy and is very helpful. Unfortunately I did not have a car so did not get to see the beautiful surrounding sites on offer. Definitely recommend this place for romantic couples as the ambience is perfect for a lovely evening outside and a glass of their red.

Less than an hour's drive from Venice and 40 minutes from Padua, this gem of a winery and BnB is an ideal location to relax, site see, and enjoy great food and wine! Arriving in mid-June, we chose Ca'Orologio as an ideal countryside location with a vineyard to begin our 3 week vacation while recovering from jet lag.

The agriturismo is beautifully appointed, with excellent furnishings and facilities, including ceiling fans, air conditioning, and many of the amenities needed to overcome heat and fatigue. All the rooms include the expected modern facilities, are clean, roomy and comfortable.

The grounds are beautiful. A lovely (but small) swimming pool, together with plenty of outdoor and indoor areas to relax, helped us to quickly recharge our batteries. Maria is charming and has everything to help you enjoy your stay - including a very helpful booklet with plenty of suggestions about places to visit and to dine. Breakfasts at the agriturismo are complete and satisfying. Be sure to sample the wines - they are delicious!

Nearby, be sure to stroll through the charming town of Este, go to Arqua Petrarcha to enjoy the historic village and for some EXCELLENT dining. Jardiniere Barbariana was a lovely classic Italian garden to visit.

Would we go back to Ca'Orologio? Absolutely!

This charming agriturismo is a bit hard to find at first, but once you're there you don't want to leave anymore. The owner is a very friendly and hospitable person, you can feel her caring for the place. The two women who serve breakfast did it in such a warm-hearted way I haven't often seen before. The house is surronded by vines which are beeing used to make wine. This and other wines (also made in the Ca'Orologio) can be tasted. Is there any better way to bring a souvenir back home, then some bottles of this exquisit wine?
