Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed a night at short notice because we wanted to spend more time at the Kauri museum which is just 5 minutes up the road from here. The host was very welcoming and we rented a cabin with double bed and kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable and we enjoyed walking in the lovely gardens.

Vanessa couldn't have been more helpful!
Due to the flooding in Northland we had to ring to advise that as we were in Kaitaia we may not make it to stay that night. Vanessa was so empathetic and said she would not charge us for cancelling on the day.
After a couple of hours trying to sort out how we could travel south, we managed to find a way and rang her again to see if our room would be available - yes it was.
Due to various slips on the road it took longer than expected to get to the park and Vanessa was keeping an eye out for us. We arrived in the dark but had a wonderfully warm welcome.
The self-contained unit was huge! Plenty of space for our family to spread out and relax after a stressful day.

We’re Motorhoming throughout the North Island and called on short notice for an overnight stay. Very welcoming and accommodating. The grounds and gardens are immaculate and the views are amazing. Photos don’t do this place justice. Very peaceful and relaxing. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone. Would be the perfect weekend getaway to unwind. Thank you 😊

From the first phone call to enquire about availability to the welcome on arrival, Vanessa and her daughter Kelly made us so welcome. We were so comfortable we decided to stay a second night. The cabin decor tasteful and very clean. Walking distance to the museum and cafe and even a beach.
Beautiful setting in delightful gardens set around the top of the Kaipara harbour.
Loved our stay and will definitely return. Highly recommended.

My husband, myself and our 7 yr old daughter stayed in a standard family cabin which was clean and comfortable. All the rest of the facilities were spotless and very well appointed. Gorgeous views of the Kaipara. The host, Kelly, is super lovely and went the extra mile to make sure we had a fabulous stay. A truly charming spot. Thanks for having us!

Loved the kitchen / lounge area, homely and comfortable, clean and tidy, everything you could need to cook there. Lots of thought gone into extras- books, board games, toys for kids. Roomy kitchen with plenty of tables etc. Stayed in a campervan site, views were amazing (don't miss breakfast while watching the sun come up) Amenities block clean and tidy. Proprietor just lovely.

What an awesome spot overlooking Kaipara. Stayed in a motel unit which had everything we needed, clean and tidy and the best bed ever. Lovely host. Gardens and grounds are kept very well. If I did it again I would stay longer. Ideal for families, and waling distance to the Kauri museum and cafe.

A very warmthful hello awaits you here from the friendly stuff. The place is clean and the kitchen has everything you can imagine. Very helpful if you don't have everything in your campervan. if you like to visit the Kauri Museum, it's just a short walk of 5 minutes away. It's very quiet our here and the dark sky is full of stars in the night.
Remote but lovely.

My wife and I stayed here in a tent. The owner and her son were very friendly and helpful. It is obvious that they have put a lot of time and effort into this park since they bought it. The facilities were very nice and the place was clean and well kept. We really enjoyed our stay and the nearby Kauri Museum. Worth a night and day to see this.

Reasonably priced - comfortable- lovely outlook. Convenient to Northland attractions, beaches and kauri bush walks, and the amazing Kauri museum.
It was very quiet for January and everything very well maintained.
