#1 of 11 B&Bs / Inns in Hartland
Travellers' Choice
Awarded Best B&B 2018 by ’Taste of the West’ for hospitality and great food, Hartland Mill B&B is establishing itself as the place to stay while you explore the Hartland Peninsula, north Devon and the north Cornish coast. Situated next to Hartland Abbey, 15 minutes’ walk from the village and 5 minutes’ drive from the South West Coast Path and Hartland Quay, there is plenty to see and do right on the doorstep. Our rooms are stylishly decorated with new, contemporary bathrooms. Our comfy beds are made with crisp White Company bed linen and the best quality hypoallergenic squishy pillows and duvets. So, after a long walk or a day exploring, kick back, have a soak in the bath and sink into bed. Our breakfast menu has lighter daily specials as well as cooked (and veggie cooked) breakfast each day. All of our jams are homemade as is our bread which is baked daily. Coffee in the dining room is fresh bean to cup and we source as much as we can from our fabulous local south west suppliers.

Thoroughly enjoyed a 3 night stay here. Cathy and James were always pleasant and helpful and Ruby the dog was adorable. Had daily homemade cakes which was most unexpected and delicious! The Mill was absolutely spotless and the gardens looked amazing. Pillows were the softest and biggest we have slept on, where did you get them?

This was our third stay at Hartland Mill. Cathy and James are the perfect hosts. The mill is beautiful, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. We stayed in the Mill room again, which has a lovely ensuite bathroom. The breakfast, cooked by Cathy are delicious, using fresh, local ingredients. There are lots of great walks to do in the area, lovely pubs to eat in and stunning scenery. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Perhaps the best bed & breakfast we have ever stayed in ... the house exudes warmth, comfort and style ... Cathy and James are welcoming, knowledgable and interesting. It's location means it it is a great base from which to explore this lovely corner of North Devon. The breakfasts are heaven and really set you up for the day. We will definitely return.
