On our trip down south towards Spain and the Pyrénées, we planned for a 2 night stop at this wonderful place. Our expectations were more than met by the beautiful house and the great hostmanship of Patrick. What an oasis of rest and fantastic French style. Thank you!
H de Surgeres has a beautiful architecture, inside and outside. The garden landscape is interesting. On one side trees were planted away from the wall so that you can walk through a little woodland, very clever idea! The swimming pool is fenced for safety and I made a friend with a little lizard 😉 The freshly homemade breakfast pastries are amazing. My room ‘Helene de Surgeres’ was at the front of the building but I did not notice traffic even with the windows opened. The room has all you require and the bathroom has a big shower. Oh, and you have a bowl of sweets on the bedside tables. A lot of time and thoughts have been invested in the details and making you all feel welcomed. I would definitely recommend H de Surgeres.
Patrick is the true professional and the consummate host. We stayed for five nights and have rarely enjoyed a hotel more. From our welcome to our departure Patrick ensured, without imposing, that we made the most of our visit to both the town of Surgeres and of the region. Our room was terrific, having extra space, and large bed and bath rooms. Breakfasts set us up for the days with different specials every morning. The grounds and pool were an oasis away from the town and the off street parking was a bonus. We will definitely be staying again when we are in the area.
Visiting friends in Surgeres they recommended this small but beautiful B&B. We were greeted by the owner, Patrick, when we arrived far too early for the room to be ready. After going off for some lunch we found he had carried our suitcases up to our room. The room (in fact 2 rooms) were absolutely fabulous! Beautifully decorated and with a huge bathroom, And views over the lovely garden. There were also 2 bowls of little sweets and each day 2 bottles of water. The following morning, breakfast was served in the conservatory. Breakfast was a real treat. All the food was freshly prepared by Patrick's wife, her pastries and preserves were absolutely delicious. Most of the produce is also local and so very fresh. Each day we were there there was a different choice of fresh fruit and pastries. My favourite being small pancakes served with a compote of apricot and creme fraiche, but my husband declared the waffles the lightest he had ever tasted. We stayed here for 3 delightful nights. Wish our friends were not moving back to uk as would live to have another excuse to visit. I cannot recommend the H De Surgeres highly enough.…
I stayed for two nights as I was attending a wedding nearby and had a wonderful stay. The website doesn't do them justice; they really exceeded my expectations. Patrick's experience in hospitality is clear. A true professional. Thank you very much.
