Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.

Although Asakusa is a 45min train ride from the more central areas of Tokyo like Shibuya or Shinjuku, there's plenty to explore in the area. In fact, I preferred it more! Red Planet's location is perfect for foodies as there are plenty of affordable and delicious food within walk

This hotel is clean, and good location where is closed to shopping stores, and the shopping street to Asakusa station and Asakusa temple. The room is not spacey but the layout and the design of the bed is good, so we can put our big suitcase under the bed to keep our room as spac

The Red Planet Asakusa was the last hotel that we stayed at during our 2.5 weeks in Japan. We really enjoyed our stay - the service was great, the rooms were clean, and the location was pretty good. The rooms were a little small, but they included all of the necessities. The s

How big are the rooms? With 2 twins?
The room are sufficient size but the bathrooms are extremely small I would say that the toilet, sink, and shower cants be more than 20sq ft . I am 6’3” and managed just fine for eight days.

No, it’s impossible, the rooms are small, it can only fit 2 people. We were 6 also, and we had 3 rooms. The place is clean and nice though, you will enjoy your stay.

Hi, we have the intention to reserve the twin sharing room in late Dec this year. We will stay for 2 nights when we arrive at Tokyo and check out on the 3rd day to go to other cities in Japan and return some days later to stay another night at your hotel before we depart to our country. Could we have our luggage be kept at your luggage storage room during the days when we are exploring cities in Japan before we come back to stay again at your hotel for the last night in Japan? And also how far is your hotel to the airport limousine bus stop from Haneda and to Narita? Thanks for your reply.
It may be best to email the hotel directly. We didn’t need to leave luggage and we came by train from the airports so I can’t answer either if your questions.

Hi! Is there a laundry service in the hotel? Thanks
If I remember right, there is although we never used it so can't comment. The best thing I found to do was email them directly with any questions and they were very good at responding :)
