I specifically looked at the Mimaru hotel chain to find a room large enough for my family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children). Ended up picking Asakusa Station as it was only 1 minute from a subway station, relatively convenient to reach via Keisei Skyliner from NRT and also had a Family Mart right outside the hotel! With kids, it's very nice having a Family Mart so close by. Stayed for 4 nights, and was very pleased with the accommodations. Check-in wasn't until 3pm, but we were able to leave our luggage in the hotel lobby and walked around the busy Asakusa area until the room was ready. We had booked the Family Apartment, and my kids loved the bunk bed. The table and seating area was very convenient, as was the full kitchen. Everything was very clean and modern and there were many free amenities available in the lobby such as room slippers or toothbrushes. Hotel also has items available to rent for free, such as an extension cord which we found quite useful. There's a laundry room on the 2nd floor: I believe it was 300 yen for wash and 100 yen for 30 min of drying. Umbrellas were also available to use for free. Staff was helpful, friendly and spoke excellent English. In general, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a larger room, convenient location, and close proximity to transportation. Tip: the closest station is Ginza line (Asakusa Station), and exit 4 will pop you up right next to the Burger King and a 1 minute walk to the hotel. Exit 1 is the only one with an elevator but you'll have to cross a couple streets to get to the hotel although it won't take much longer. If you have a lot of heavy luggage, take Exit 1 (for the elevator); if not, take the stairs and Exit 4.

Valued for money. I chose the projector room and the kids love it. Moreover, we chose the river view and love the view. Best is we can see the Skytree and Asahi building from our room
This apartment is near the A2b exit , which is the only exit with elevator. There are many buses that are not currently not operating and the best way to get to Haneda airport from Asakusa is train. There is a direct train from Akaskusa and this is partly why we chose this apartment.

Great apartment hotel in perfect location. Our first visit as a family of four from UK to Japan and we can’t wait to return.
We had a river view room with two single beds and bunk beds for kids (age 10 & 13). Room had plenty of space for us and we even cooked breakfast a few times.
Location is right next to Asakusa subway station and the bonus is the train from Haneda airport directly to Asakusa made it very simple, even with suitcases!
Room cleaning is every four days but towels were replaced every day and rubbish bins emptied daily too. Easy to request anything extra from reception. The kitchen had a hob, kettle, microwave, plenty of cutlery, cooking utensils and crockery. Not that you’ll want to eat in as there is so much good food locally! Also a decent size dining table and four chairs.
Lawsons is right next door if you need to pop out for snacks and drinks, plus Seven 11 is just over the road too! We found this really convenient and the kids loved the selection of snacks available.
Aircon was good in the heat of the summer.
Only disappointment here was the coffee provided. Luckily the tea was better.
Staff are super friendly and helpful which was much appreciated.

We (2 adults, three kids ages 14, 12, 10) stayed in the two-room suite for a week. It was absolutely perfect! The room was very comfortable, spotless, and well stocked with kitchen items. Everyone had their own bed, and the common area with couch and table was a great place to recover from the day and make plans for the next day. We would stay here again for sure.
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We do not speak Japanese, so having an English speaking front desk was very helpful before and during our stay. We had several questions before our arrival, all of which were answered very thoroughly and promptly.
Location was exactly what we were looking for. Sumida river park offers a great & uncrowded walking area with an excellent playground. From the hotel we explored all of Asukusa on foot, including a nice walk to the sky tree. An early morning (6am due to jet lag!) visit to a nearly empty Senso-ji was a real treat. Local metro stations are small enough that they felt easy to manage our first few days as we figured out the city. With access to the Ginza & Asakusa lines we had no trouble getting all over town. Although some trips were long and required a few transfers (e.g. DisneySea)it was well worth the trade off to us to have a comfortable home base for the week.

Absolutely everything was perfect from the moment we booked until they very end! The room was perfect, spacious enough, very clean and wonderful view. We are a family of 5 , parents with twin babies and a toddler, and they were nice enough to place two cots in our room, which made ALL the difference to us. We stayed over Halloween and my oldest son got a bunch of Halloween decoration & presents, he was over thrilled all weekend. When we booked I had some questions which the staff replied via email very fast and always super friendly. Also when we left the hotel we left something behind, they immediately called us and sent them via post. 48 hours later we had our missed items at home ( thankfully as it was my toddlers stuffed elephant!! ) This was our second stay in a Mimaru hotel and it is safe to say that they have become our top choice when traveling to Tokyo. I cannot wait to try their sister properties in Kyoto and Osaka!

Perfect 4 beds for a small family. Bunk beds are fun for kids. usb and plug point at every side bed. Terrific common dining table and bench for us to pack in a cosy dinner. Complete facility of mii kitchen microwave utensils and electric stove. However wish they have more hanger space or.hooks to hang coats
Excellent location next to Asakusa sub (exit A4) and exit A1 if you need elevator with luggages but you need to cross the road AND Family Mart just next door.
Separated toilet and shower room for rotation use. No breakfast. They only strictly check you in at 3pm no earlier.

Great location and accommodations. Hotel staff was very helpful in finding restaurants and navigating the area. The room worked perfectly for my family of four - the kids had a bunk bed that they liked and we loved having a table for the occasional meal.

Stayed here for 3 nights - 2 adults, 2 teenagers. The apartment was very clean and perfectly fine for what we needed. It was good that the shower and toilet were separate. The apartment could have slept 6 (there were bunk beds that we didn’t use) and I think that would have been very cramped and tricky with only 1 toilet.
The reception staff were very helpful and the viewing area on the rooftop was nice to pop up to for some amazing photos at night. The location was great - very close to loads of places to eat, as well as the famous temple, and only a couple of stops from the Tokyo Skytree. It was very convenient for the subway. There was also a convenience store downstairs.

Definitely recommend staying in Mimaru group of hotels. We stayed in a family room with two bunk beds over looking the river. The room was spotless clean, everything you needed was supplied. There is a familymart right next door to get milk and cereal etc for breakfast. The kitchenette comes fully equipped with everything you need including a fridge and electric hob. Asakusa station is about 20metres away with is easily connected to do JR rail day trips and the surrounding Tokyo areas. You can travel directly from Haneda Airport to Asakusa. A general tip... The country still uses a lot of cash rather than card. You can charge up suica cards in the familymart too. Sensoji temple is approx. a 5 minute walk away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mimaru Tokyo Asakusa Station. The staff was professional and personable. Moka, especially, stands out as engaging and highly competent. Our room was clean, housekeeping quick and thorough. Laundry facilities on site and utilised by us as we pack light. The location is highly convenient to the Senso-ji temple with all the surrounding food and shopping, but being on the Sumida river, walking the riverwalk and having a view from our window of both the Asahi flame and Tokyo Skytree was sublime. The night view was stunning with the flame, the Skytree and the bridge all lit up. Our favorite Mimaru — we stayed in three this trip. Would stay here again!
