The Knot Tokyo Shinjuku is frequently praised for its prime location, with guests appreciating the quiet yet central surroundings and easy access to Tokyo's public transport. While the on-site bakery and restaurants are a hit, opinions on the Wi-Fi and breakfast value vary. Rooms are typically described as clean and functional, though some guests note their compact size and have encountered noise issues. The hotel's service receives accolades for staff attentiveness, though experiences can differ. The modern vibe of the hotel, complete with lively lobby music and funky decor, contributes to its inviting atmosphere.

When we arrived ar Narita airport we had some tickets and passes to purchase. The staff at the airport were very helpful in directing us to the various counters we needed. When we arrived at the hotel the staff were also very helpful, as are most japanese people. If you ask them a question they will try their best to help. About the hotel, the room was quite small, but who visits tokyo to stay in a hotel room??? In most hotels you have a room cleaning option, full clean or eco clean. Eco clean means change towels only. At the knot if you choose eco clean they leave you a voucher worth 500 yen which you can exchange at the bar for drinks, in the restaurant, or at their bakery. We found the amenties at the knot very convenient and if you smoke they also have a smoking room. All round we would recommend this hotel as a good place to stay, also it is only a 15 minute walk to the main shinjuku train station, very convenient if you like to travel.

We (family of 3) stayed here in late December, and it was one of the better boutique hotels I’ve stayed in. The rooms—they’re small, it’s Tokyo—are cozy but there’s a fridge, good TV and a tiny bathroom with a deep soaking tub and excellent shower. The beds were hard, as is Japanese custom, so be prepared for that.

The best thing about The Knot is the BAKERY that is in the lobby. The pastries are excellent and not ridiculously expensive. The coffee however, is overpriced, but at least it’s delicious. Family Mart down the street has good coffee too, and it’s much cheaper! There’s also free coffee in your room (the coolest disposable pour over set up) too.

We would return to this hotel in a heartbeat, and have already recommended it to friends.

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our tour of Japan for the Rugby World Cup in October 2019 as we were attending one of the games in Tokyo.
The hotel was conveniently located only a 15 minute walk from Shinjuku station.
The hotel is very modern. Loved the bar area and bakery in the hotel where the breakfast and pastries were awesome. simple and clean consisting of several floors. Rooms are good and for Tokyo, the room had decent space. I would certainly recommend this hotel just for the atmosphere in the lobby and bar area 😜

This hotel is very nice. It's clean and has great facilities - bar, restaurant, bakery and bike hire. The staff are kind and helpful and let us check in to our room earlier than check in time when we requested to drop out bags off. We stayed in a few different places and this room was by far the smallest. It was also by far the cheapest though. There was very little space to walk in the room with two twin beds if you want more room be prepared to pay a lot more. Overall this was great value.

First, i will apologies for the staff who does his best..
It is a 3 stars hotel so don't be mistaken I don't consider it as a 5 stars hotel

I will try to be as factual as possible

The location is good not too far from metro stations and in front of the parc..

The front desk on arrival is friendly and helps you to use the check-in machine.

They inform you that the room will be done only every 3 days (in reality it is more than that, 4th day and still not done) you only receive some water, and they provide a new towel.

there are no laundry services, but 3 washing machines (which are always, always busy (300 yen per machine) and 3 dryers that require several runs to dry the clothes.. So the best thing to do is to take your clothes and wash it outside..

There is some good music in the lobby (way too loud if you want to work, don't even think of making a video call).

There is also a huge table that people use to work .. and eat their lunch from the bakeries leaving sometimes leftover food on the ground (especially when eating croissants).

Breakfast: The price is not the same if you book one day in advance (I realize that when I paid the bill, they apologies for the mistaken information).. The quality of the food is very good.. but unfortunately..

They have very few choices and quantities: don't expect to have a croissant after 8:30... (even if the staff really made an effort to find some for me after several requests.. )

only green tea and no black tea, this would have made sense if it was an Asian Breakfast ... but besides the curry no Asian breakfast..

In the end, it is way too expensive for what they offer..

Wifi: Bring your own Wi-Fi.. Wifi is good enough to read emails, not more..
The bar closes early and has only 6 seats. be careful..

I will stop here.
My feeling in this hotel everything is done to make more money..Which is their right. but I really don't like this feeling..

the good thing is the restaurant on the 2nd floor. is very good ..
it needs a reservation but it is worth it..

Shinjuku is a great neighbourhood, but can be a bit crazy, The Knot is a nice escape from high is close enough to the heart of Shinjuku (20 min walk). The hotel is pretty cool, the lobby is lively, and always vibrant. We used the bakery each morning for our breakfast, and often popped into the restaurant for a couple of drinks in the evening. The rooms are small, bits that’s common in Tokyo, and they lack wardrobes, which is frustrating when your staying a few nights.

We stayed at the Knot for one week.
We had booked a room with three single beds. We were surprised about the size of the room; after traveling the country the previous weeks we had seen much smaller rooms. Don't expect it to be huge, but we found it sufficent, even with 4 pieces of luggage.
The room was clean and had the usual amenities, bathrobe, slippers, coffee, small fridge, hairdryer,...
We also had breakfast included. The buffet had everything you need to start your day. It can be described as a continental breakfast. On sundays it seems to get busier than usual.
The staff at the hotel was always very friendly and helpful.
The bakery in the lobby always very busy. Their bread and other baked goods were also partly served at the hotel breakfast buffet and they were quite good.
Overall it's a nice hotel in Tokyo, especially if you prefer to stay in a more quite place. As the hotel is right across a park, the atmosphere isn't as busy as it gets at the city center.
A metro station (Tochomae) and the Shinjuku station are easy to reach on foot. When carrying luggage (especially in summer) I'd recommend taking a taxi from Shinjuku station, which costs around 750¥.

Read my previous review from my May stay, as everything seems about the same. Great fresh breakfasts with abundant choices if you purchase ahead, I believe less than if you purchase ahead when booking than if available to purchase that day. Also, the adjacent More Than Bakery (breakfast alternative or to buy a baked goodie to take along with you) and also the More Than Grill (for dinner) are still really good.

I flew in to Haneda this time, and took the limousine bus to one of the hotels nearby, from which was about a 5 minute walk to The Knot. If it is raining, expect to get wet if you are walking to Shinjuku Station although there are a couple bridges you walk under along the way. Nearby is a FamilyMart.

I mentioned wifi as not consistent in the room during my May stay, this time I had rented pocket Wifi at the airport so did not have any issues during this full Japan trip.

Hidden secret...at least for now...the hotel is very close to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatory for fantastic free panoramic views of the city. A great way to start one of your days without paying and waiting at other city view locations. There may be a line for the elevators, but they are great at managing it quickly. Their google hours seemed to indicate as closed, but as you are walking Fureai-dori Ave in the direction, you will see one of the lobby entrances you can easily walk in and check for yourself. The building is a good nearby marker if you are unfamiliar with the area and google maps fails.

There is also a nice park across the street. I am not familiar with the nearby food choices other than The Grill, but again there is the FamilyMart (as like 711 it has simple fresh food available everyday) and I had easy walks to simpler restaurant choices elsewhere in Shinjuku.

Again, I stayed here at The Knot because I liked the quieter, "leafy" "skyscraper district" location and thought it was a good overall deal (especially with the breakfasts).

Small roms and sadly rude staff at the breakfast/coffe bar, I can tell more but after having one egg from the chef I was not allowed a sandwich, and they asked me what coffe I wanted I said a cappuccino without telling me about the extra charge, and now when I tried to ask kindly if I’m still hungry can you just boil me an egg or fire up a sandwiches they try to explain to me in Japanese why and why not to. Just made me more less so I went out,

The coffee I had to go out to the other bar to get as-well.

Sorry no more then 2-3 star.

Welcome drink is water, non alcoholic and sparkle whine.
