Detailed Reviews
This is a hotel located towards the southern part of Ginza which means that it is within walking distance of shops, business buildings, theaters, etc. A train station is conveniently located just a 5 minute walk from the hotel which means that you can actually get from Narita to the hotel without having to incur into skyhigh taxi fares.
Having said this, Tokyo is a city with a very extensive tube system which means that you can get pretty much anywhere by a combination of train and tube.
Rooms are a bit small yet very very comfortable and yes, they have handress toilets which is actually quite nice and you will most likely develop a liking for them. The tub is quite small for Western standards but no big deal.
Breakfast at the hotel is very good with both Japanese and Western options which will ensure that regardless of your mood you should be able to find what you may fance at that particular time.
Service, as expected, is very efficient.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, our first ever at a Mitsui property. It will not be the last one, that is certain.

The Mitsui Garden is a rather curious mix of modest accommodation and a fairly upscale bar and restaurant. By “modest”, I mean that our room was inexpensive and very small (as we expected). The room had all the features of a typical hotel room, such as a desk and a wardrobe, but all arranged in a way that makes maximum use of available space. As a guest, you’ll need to be as ingenious as the interior designer if you want to find space to open your luggage.
When staying at the Mitsui Garden, we tended to use Shimbashi Station as our transport hub. It’s a short walk away and has good links to the main rail and subway lines of Tokyo. You can readily walk from the hotel to many of Tokyo’s big sights, such as Tsukiji Market, Hamarikyu Gardens and the Imperial Palace. We also had a very early morning visit to the new Toyosu Fish Market. Taxis were plentiful even at 5.00am and the market is a very short ride from the hotel. To top it off, the Mitsui Garden has great views of the Tokyo Tower. The lobby is a favourite spot for selfies with the tower in the background.
We decided not to have breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We never felt sufficiently hungry to justify the very considerable cost. There are numerous other nearby breakfast options, including of course Tsukiji Market.
Spending a few nights at Mitsui Garden was intended to give my wallet a bit of respite in-between stays at more expensive accommodation. We were pleased to discover that the Mitsui Garden is at least equal to some of its pricier competitors in Tokyo.

The big advantage of this hotel is that is in a very good location with access to bus and multiple tube lines making it easy to move around ( make sure you put full name of hotel in satnav/google map as there are other hotels in this chain and you might be misdirected ). It was a very convenient base from which to explore Tokyo with excellent shopping nearby should you be so inclined. The Fish Tsukiji Market and Hamarikyu Gardens are within easy walking distance. The views from the rooms are spectacular as the lobby is on the 16th floor and all bedrooms are on floors above that. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection though a bit samey after a couple of days. The rooms are well equipped with , typically as we found out during our time in Japan, everything being provided from razors to nightshirts. Even a trouser press. Specify non smoking when booking. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. WiFi works well. Beds were comfortable .
On the down side the room was very hot. It was a twin and small for two people and it was difficult to accommodate two suitcases. If anything the room was over provided with furnishings, such as a coffee table, which could have freed up floor space. The only TV is in Japanese. TV is not important but, in the current climate, I personally think access to news is.
The hotel operates a voluntary eco policy for guests staying 2 nights or more whereby only minimal cleaning is done and towels changed. Bed making becomes the guests’ responsibility . Bedding is not replaced and essentials are not replaced. you just go to reception to get more. We tried both ways - the non eco and the eco. The eco day meant only the towels were replaced which did not strike me as very eco. But otherwise pretty well everything else was left untouched. On our non eco day literally everything was replaced . I applaud all green initiatives however.
As a final comment- please please put some hooks in the bathroom on which towels can be hung.
we enjoyed our stay and would consider booking again.

Had asked the hotel if our child can share bed with ous before checked in. The hotel thought that "6 year old child = an adult" and asked us to change to a triple room, but they just put an extra temporary bed in the twin room. There's no space for walking in the room, therefor we had to step on beds to walk. It's really dangerous that we kick the iron feet of the temporary bed many times.
If the child is considered to be an adult, should the hotel provide a reasonable space for 3 people?
We’ve been to Japan many times, and it’s the first time we've stayed a hotel doesn't equipped Washlets, even chain business hotels would have...

Although we made a same-day reservation and only a smoking room was available, we received a prompt email response to our requests for deodorization and amenities, and we were able to make it so that it was barely noticeable when we entered the room, which we were very grateful for.
The building in general, the lobby and guest rooms are simple but clean, and feel like a higher-class hotel for the price.
We were impressed by the advanced operations, such as checking in using a tablet.
The breakfast was also well-thought-out, and we could enjoy it while taking in the view of Ginza.
Overall we were very satisfied with the hotel.

Outstanding front office professional make my journey a fantastic one. The reservations respond my email in 24 hours and with helpful suggestions; check in service are speedy and efficient despite I need to move from one room to another for an upselling option. And they are so helpful not only ease my worries about carrying three giant baggage and making perfect arrangements for booking a taxi for us. The only flaws only be the restaurants seems to be less hospitable. They always said they are fully booked while the restaurant is half full or they simply put a sign they are closed. And be aware of the environmental friendly measures - they will not make up the bed for you nor refill the used amenities which may be a big difference from other international hotel group.

Stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights, enjoyed every minute of it. Room is pretty standard and cosiness makes up for the tight space (after 2 luggage).
Staff are all extremely helpful with additional requests - we had placed some items in their hotel fridge prior to check out. Wonderful surprise when they personalized a note and included chocolates as a gift to me as it’s my birthday month. Such attentiveness is greatly appreciated indeed, thank you once again and we will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place in Ginza area!

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel in a convenient location in Ginza. The fish market is walking distance, there is a subway station right outside the front door, the staff are really helpful. The rooms are quite small - but this is standard for Tokyo.

The staff are fantastic but the second we stepped into the elevator we knew thats where it would end. The elevator smells of smoke. The room smelled of smoke, sweat and dust. There was a sunflower seed that didn’t get vacuumed up from prior guest. The room was full of dust we had to run the air filter 24/7 to try to get the smell to improve. First day my eyes were swollen due to all the dust and smells in the room. Just walking on the carpet the dust was being thrown up into the air again. We only stayed 2 nights thankfully but strongly considered leaving and paying for a different room. When looking for a different hotel everything was just so expensive because it was last minute we felt like we didn’t have a choice but to stay. The staff were amazing not a reflection on them but room was gross. Japan has been closed for several years you would like they would take that time when it wasn’t so busy to deep clean the rooms. There was also hair in our bed. Didn’t enjoy stay away for the price and star rating I expected more. At least clean air. The mattress was comfortable and bathroom was clean and comfortable also.

We stayed a total of 5 nights, but spitted into 2 visits. We stored our luggages at hotel. They were very helpful to send our luggage’s to room before we checked in for the 2nd visit.
Room is moderate in size. Bed, pillows are very comfortable. The bathroom is very good, with bathtub and shower separated. Shower with hot & strong water pressure that is very important especially after lots of walk during the day.
Hotel will provide 2 bottles of drinking water in room. But if you put the environmental support tag outside room, they will not change bed sheets, towels, etc. and even not to refill bottles of water to your room. Maybe you can ask for this.
There’s a smoking room at the lobby area. I think this should be moved to ground floor.
Location is convenient with easy access to train and subway stations. Walking distance to Ginza shopping area.
