Opened in June 7, 2019. We're just adjacent to subway Kitahama station exit No.3, located the centre of Osaka city. You can enjoy not only Osaka, but also Kyoto with direct connection by Keihan line and our hotel stay. We have chic and open lounge on the 2nd floor, offer complimentary coffee experience. You can make you own blend coffee and relax there. This is CANVAS style. CANVAS is a place where things happen by bringing people together. The word ‘hotel’ does not appear in its name. That’s because the hospitality we want to bring to you isn’t traditional, with the usual tone and form that word implies. Providing a place where things happen just by you being there – that’s CANVAS hospitality.

This is probably the best deal in town, we stayed 3 nights and paid $240 with an amazing Western and Asian breakfast buffet each morning, while repetitive there was plenty to choose from. Location is lovely outside the major attractions but right above Kitahama station and 7 minute walk from other stations. Every major attraction is a quick 15 min train ride. Lively restaurants and local bars, albeit underground and may be hard to find just down the street, but great adventure in itself. 15 min train from Umega area, a must see in my opinion ( Umega Sky building and Island Gardens)Hotel has ironing rooms on most floors and laundry, it has a gym but we did not use as we walked about 10 miles per day :). There is a bar you can purchase snacks and drinks and they even give you 1 drink/person welcome drink tokens. There is an outside terrace. rooms are very small but you will not spend much time in it anyways. some amenities, but nothing like the Petit Bali in Tokyo- see my review.

I am at a lost for words to describe this hotel and the amazing unforgettable stay we had at this property, I have to give it a 10 out of 10 ! from convenient location basically inside the metro station nearly! breakfast was so delicious, although basic but very decent and yummy! most importantly coffee is served all day complimentary, ammenities are also free such as face masks, hair brushes, tooth brushes , there is a stand at the entrance where one can take anything you might have forgotten at home. we also did our own washing and tumble dried it.
I would highly recommend this hotel, definately great value for money,

We stayed here for a week last fall. Overall a great experience and will consider booking again!👍
👍 Accessible location near Kitahama train station
👍 Convenient as there was a Family Mart beside the hotel
✅️Daily housekeeping (even when we did not request for it)
✅️ Pajamas were provided and changed daily
❤️ Love the boho bathroom tile design!
❤️ Love the argan oil skincare kit and free face masks (available at the lobby)

Well located hotel that is directly above the Kitahama stop along the Sakaisuji Line. Exit C leads directly to the hotel, or use Exit 1B and cross a small street if an elevator is required.

This is a quieter part of the city, but many places are easily reached via the metro.

We took the Nankai Line from the Airport to Tengachaya station, and switched to the Osaka Metro which brought us here. Google Maps may also show other travel options, depending on the time you check.

Conveniences nearby:
Family Mart is just beside the street entrance on the right.
A bakery and cafe on the left.
MOS Burger is a short walk to the left.
Gokan - a famous bakery is just across the street.
Keihan Mall is a train stop away (or you can walk).

Room was clean.
Everything looks new.
Shower works great.
Bed is comfy.
Amenities were great (some of the items like face mask, etc - you help yourself to from the shelf opposite reception).
Love the lounge on L2 with a free flow of coffee and tea.
Small gym with some cardio machines and free weights on L2.
Ironing room and ice machines on selected floors.

Staff were friendly and great.

Definitely recommend!

We have already stayed at another Royal Canvas hotel (Tokyo) and this one is much worse. It doesn't have the same quality and we were very disappointed.

The room had no water when we arrived, the reception service is slow and confusing and the breakfast is not good and slow to replace the food. The street is on the 1st floor and the lobby is on the 2nd floor and every time the elevator goes up or down it stops in the lobby, which makes everyone in the elevator angry.

This is an excellent hotel and great value for money. Seems very new and rooms are very comfortable with all of the amenities you need including a brilliant shower. The rooms are a good size for Japan, beds and sheets etc are good quality, breakfast choice is top notch and one of the best we have experienced. They give you a token for a free glass of wine, sake or juice (just one) and free unlimited tea and coffee plus lemon water in the bar/lobby/ restaurant bar area. Location is not close to the hustle and bustle if Osaka but it is literally next to the underground station so getting around is really easy I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel it's brilliant for the money paid. *We paid around 111 UK pounds per night inc breakfast by the way.

The hotel looks very good; everything is very clean, rooms are very nice. Breakfast is good and you have different options even if you don’t like traditional Japanese food. The problem with this hotel is the staff. I can understand that they don’t speak English, even though it’s is an international hotel. But they treated us very rude. For example in one of the morning they didn’t accept us at the breakfast because we were wearing slippers; again I can understand that but we were not the only ones who were wearing slippers but she (the lady who send us to change the shoes) didn’t seemed to have any problem with the other people. Maybe not all the tourists are welcomed in this hotel?!
In our last day we went to the reception to let our luggage there for a couple of hours because our flight was in the afternoon. She took the luggage and she threw down one of the backpack. I asked her to be careful because I had my laptop inside and 4 seconds later she threw it down again, and again!!!!! (I wanna mention that we offered to help her carry the bags and she didn’t let us because we didn’t have access inside the room). She didn’t even ask if my laptop was broken….
As a conclusion if you choose to stay here think twice before you pay the accommodation!

The location of the hotel is awesome! Just next to exit 3 of kitahama subway. The amenities in the hotel were awesome. Staff was friendly. Room was big enough for two of us and the bed was large too as my friend was tall. Free bees were amazing like lotion sachets, comb, bath towel scrub, face mask free coffee all the time. And free coin for one drink. Their coffee and tea cups were lovely. And option for self grounding and brewing coffee ! The ambience was very chic! Would love to stay again.

This hotel is perfectly located on top of Kitahama station in Osaka. Amenities are also very modern and staffs were very helpful. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. Location is great as it's near the Osaka station and also Namba area. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm back! Love it!

Room Tip: Get a pass that covers the local train services. I think you use it more than JR line.

Room is pretty big for Japanese style. Great location only a few steps from Metro station (Kitahama) and also Family Mart is just downstairs of the hotel. Clean and new place. Free drinks are available at 2nd floor. Many amenities are provided. Nice!

Dear cdl9123, Thank you for staying with us. Actually, our skin care set is not for sale in the public. On the other hand, the face vaporizer "Nano care steamer" is made by Panasonic. We hope this information will be helpful to you and we're looking forward to having you again in the near future. Thank you.
