Really enjoyed my stay. If Im ever back in the Kitahama area this will be my first choice. I know a lot of people say that the area is a little lackluster because there aren't any good views but I couldn't disagree more. The city is beautiful and has a ton to offer. Its really close and convenient to stores, public transit, and the Osaka Castle. Staff was really friendly, the hotel has everything you'll need (microwaves, mini fridge, washer/dryer, bottled water, etc.).

For what we paid, the hotel is amazing.

The hotel is located at Kitayama, which is a bit far from some of the most popular tourist spots, e.g. Dotonbori (~40 minutes walk). But there’s a metro station within 1 minutes walk, so it’s still quite convenient.

The hotel room was larger than most of the business hotels I stayed in Osaka, got enough space for 2 ppx and the luggage. It was clean, and the bathroom with separate shower and bathtub was excellent.

The hotel was a fantastic location for the metro system. We booked the room with breakfast. Has I of known the breakfast was not buffet style but was a set japanese breakfast I would not of selected this, we ended up buying breakfast every morning form 7 11. The rooms are a good size for Japan. The shower was a good one.

Great location, and very, very well priced. Right by one subway where it was 2 stops away from dotonbori and 5 mins walk from the subway to shin-Osaka. About 1500 metres from Osaka castle as I ran there each morning. Great service, all spoke good English and were very helpful. Other restaurants and 7 eleven close by. Would easily recommend

So we can have them all to ourselves. Great staff, large room, micro and ice in hallway of some floors, daily room service available, modern shower, quiet, good a/c, umbrellas, 7-11 and Lawson’s, train station and grocery store in next building, bottled water. Will be repeat customer on next Osaka visit. Thank you.

Great location with 2 convenience stores just opposite the hotel and the subway just a 5 min walk from the station. The hotel staff were polite and helpful as well.
The room was spacious enough to lay open 2 luggages and the shower was amazing. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

The wifi connection was slow at times but that was still fine.

Great hotel with friendly staff, very clean and the rooms are decent size. Located in a quiet part of the town so if you want to be in the middle of everything it is not for you. Close to public transportation and the Castle. For us was excellent. We traveled with 3 other friends and we all loved it

Of all the hotels I stayed at on this trip to Japan, this was the best. The room is large by Japanese standards. Location is not central but Katahama metro station is close by. If I come back to Osaka I will come back to this hotel

I recently stayed at the Hotel Brighton City for several nights. This ideally situated hotel is located in the Kitihama District of Osaka close to the Namba Entertainment and Shopping District, Osaka Castle, and with easy access to public transport to / from Kansai Airport, Osaka Station (and the shopping areas surrounding), and Shin-Osaka Station (for access to the bullet train). This quiet area consists mainly of office buildings but there are some apartment complexes in the area. Kitahama Subway Station is two minutes walk to the hotel while Yodoyabashi Subway Station is an easy ten minute walk to the hotel.

Front Office staff at this hotel were welcoming and helpful and spoke English well. The room I was assigned was larger than the typical room often found in hotels in Japan in the US$100-150 range. Guest amenities included a mini refrigerator, hot water kettle with coffee and tea packets, bottled water, guest safe, hair dryer, and a much appreciated tablet with access to the Internet. An iron and board are available upon request at the front desk. Floors 2 and 8 have laundry machines for guest use at a nominal cost. The room had a flat screen TV but unfortunately no English language programming was offered.

The bed was comfortable with clean and crisp linens. Both the room and bathroom were spotless. The bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower area. Extensive personal care amenities were provided (toothbrush, razer, comb, etc.). Air conditioning worked well. On a couple of days during my stay, I declined to have my room serviced. Housekeeping left a basket outside my door with fresh towels, water, and bathroom supplies. Very thoughtful!

The hotel has a restaurant I did not visit during my stay.

Overall, a gem of a hotel and highly recommended for its hard and soft product as well as its ideal location.

GETTING THERE

From Kansai Airport (KIX), take the Nankai Airport Express Train to Tengachaya Station. Tickets are 920 yen (about US$8.35) or 1275 yen (about $10.75) for the limited stop and more comfortable “Rapit” Express Train. At Tengachaya Station, walk 100 yards to the connected subway station and buy a 230 yen ticket (about US$2). Go downstairs. Since this is the termination of the line, board the first available train (brown line). Ride seven stops to Kitihama Station (Station K14). Follow the signs for EXIT #5. At street level, turn left and walk one block. The hotel is on your left.

From Osaka or Shin-Osaka Japan Rail Stations, take the Red Line subway to Yodoyabashi Station (Station M17). Follow the signs to Exit #13 located at the far end of the platform in the direction the train is traveling. The subway entrance / exit (at street level) is directly in front of a coffee café. At street level, turn right and go to the intersection. Look to your left and cross the street. Continue walking down the side street for six blocks. Cross the three lane road and keep walking straight another two blocks. The hotel is on your left. It’s an easy 10 minute walk.

See the attached map for guidance.

We booked a hotel here after reviewed the comments, but it turned out to be very disappointing right at checkin: we were imeddiately asked to get and pay for one more room due to we have a kid more than 6 years old. 1st time ever we encountered such a strange request anywhere in Japan or around the world we traveled.

So if you travel as a family with a kid, this hotel probably isn't for you, stay somewhere else in Osaka.

I saw a kind of laundromat picture at this hotel. How much does it cost? Is it per kg/piece? Arigatou

Hi. I think you have the choice 300 yens just for 4kg if I recall, 400 for 6kg just for the wash. You also have a program at 500 yens for 3kg wash and drying (best value in my opinion). It’s also 100 yens for 30min of drying. The machines also lock with a personal code. (Prices at + or - 100yens my memory is floozy ^^)
