I've traveled Japan quite extensively, and so far, this is the one of the best hotel (for it's value) that I've ever stayed in.

At first, I had doubts on the hotel location, seeing that I'm travelling with infant and a big luggage, but to my surprise the location is quite convenient. The connection to the subway station and JR station means you can visit almost every tourist attraction in Osaka.

Just a few steps from the subway exit, the hotel provides a shuttle bus which operates every 15-minutes. Although, putting big luggage into the minibus was quite a challenge, once seated in the bus you can breathe a sigh of relief. The receptionist speaks English, so the check-in process is quite hassle free.

There's a Family Mart behind the hotel in case you are looking for something to eat at night as the area is quite quiet at night. Inside the hotel there are coin operated laundry, vending machine and ice machine so your basic necessities are covered.

I stayed in the Superior Room, which is the biggest room they have to offer us there. It was quite spacious and luxurious, and we really enjoyed the bathtub, which was a relief after a few days of staying in small hotel rooms of Kyoto.

The view from the room is spectacular. You can continuously enjoy the view of Osaka Castle in the morning and at night. It must have been much more spectacular once the Sakura trees surrounding the castle is in full bloom. The only thing that I could nitpick on the room is that the bed and the pillow should've been as plush as the room.

The breakfast menu is not quite extensive, nevertheless it is quite delicious. I will definitely stay in KKR Hotel Osaka again for my next trip.

Stayed in the hotel for two nights (2 adults & 2 kids). Location is fantastic - right across the street from Osaka Castle, so you can enjoy the view in the morning or in nights when the castle is lit-up. 10 minutes walking distance from a subway station to go anywhere in Osaka. The rooms are a big disappointment. They are old with basic amenities. Apparently the building can only supply either heating or cooling; NOT both. So, if you have to walked the whole day (specially during autumn or spring), and you need some cooling down before going to bed, you got to open the window!!! Which by the way is tough to open :)...

Fantastic location, especially if you can time your trip to see the cherry blossoms in the park surrounding Osaka-jo (castle). The room is well setout for a disabled traveller - I had no problems in the room and I am in a wheelchair. There is a slope leading up to the motel - but nothing extreme.

I would suggest calling the Hotel to book this room as the website is in Japanese only - they have some English speaking staff - a Japanese friend booked my room. Kuruma-iss is the Japanese word for wheelchair

Located in between two subway stations, about 10 mins walk to either one. If you're lucky, you'll have a room overlooking Osaka Castle and park , so you can take good photos. Room is reasonable size but good for couple with light luggage. Walking distance to Osaka Castle, i.e. less than 5 mins. Shuttle bus available to drop you off at either stations but does not pick you up from Station. Not close to any major shopping or food, but easily accessible using subway.

I'm really happy with this hotel. I've been living in Japan for awhile and checking in can be pretty hit or miss if you're Japanese isn't the best, but all the staff here was great! Everyone was willing to give advice of where my girlfriend and I should go, how to get there, and a rough guess of the costs. The breakfast that came with was pretty nice as well.

This visit was our 3rd time staying at KKR. We are lucky enough to have friends in Osaka who make the reservations for us. We visited during Easter which coincided with the peak cherry blossum bloom, which was spectacular and so close to KKR (across the road in the park surrounding Osaka-jo).
Not a lot has changed in our 3 visits to KKR, the motel is used primarily to cater for local weddings so there is always an amazing display of kimonos in the foyer. We wanted to go to a Japan ball (baseball) game and did ask reception for some assistance to book (as we needed a wheelchair access ticket) - but they were unable to accommodate this request. We still went and purchased tickets at the game (it was fantastic).
The breakfast is great with both Japanese options and a western selection.
We love staying at KKR, after 3 visits, it has started to feel like a second home.

We arrived by train at Osaka Station at night, transfered to Morinomiya Station and then walked several blocks west to the KKR. We were really tired, but when we got to our rooms, looked north out of the windows and saw Osaka Castle lit up, it was magical. We were absolutely delighted. (See picture). We also had views of the plum and cherry blossom tree which were starting. In the picture, you can see large blue tarps. Japanese people sit under the trees with their friends and families and have picnics and enjoy the blossoms.

We were in a group, and one of the others in our party had a view south and could see St.Mary's Cathedral where they went to Mass in Japanese on Palm Sunday. Wonderful!

We had been staying in ryokans, so it was a nice change to stay in a western-style hotel. We had happened upon 2 Shinto weddings at several shrines in Kyoto, so it was also a great surprise to see 2 western-style wedding parties at this hotel. Apparently, it specializes in doing them and has whole floor devoted to the task of putting on these events.

We were used to getting meals at the ryokans we stayed at, so we had a bit of a hard time finding places to eat nearby. There was one in the hotel, but to make a long story short we didn't find it. We ended up walking around the neighborhood and found a Lawson Store (like a 7/11) with a decent choice of precooked foods. We liked it enough that we went back there for breakfast. Later when we visited the castle, we came across a lot of food stalls inside the 1st moat on several sides of the castle where we enjoyed sausages, corn on the cob, fruit on sticks, and that sort of thing. I'm not sure how early they open though.

Coming to Osaka castle was one (of the many) highlights of our trip!

It is very good hotel famous because of it location. One side of the rooms are facing famous old castle and are bit expensive. Hotel have variety rooms rooms for couples, family and there are typical Japanese rooms where there are no high beds of chair. One has to sit down as per Japanese tradition. Rooms are well appointed and considerable compared to normal Japanese standard. It got a big window and tea and coffee pot. This hotel is famous for the parties and have three large marriage halls.

Spent one night here. It is located across the street from the Osaka Castle. Breakfast is included, the rooms clean and not too small. The staff is attentive and speak english. The buffet for breakfast was a good mix of traditional Japanese food and American style. It is a larger hotel one, but the feeling of quaintness.
