Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.

Found the Hotel easily from the rail station. You hav to walk right up to the wooden doors for them to auto open. Fragrance on your way to reception. Efficiently checked in and paid local tax 1600 yen for 2 rooms for 2 nights. Rooms good size. Modern shower & bath, good water

Stayed in moderate double room during Christmas. Room were clean and decent size for Japan standard. The hotel is about 5min walk from Hachijoguchi East exit. Sunkus/Family mart were just a stone thrown away. Booked the hotel via agoda for a very cheap deal. Spend abt 140USD

Warm, courteous and friendly staff. Great amenities. Offers excellent traditional japanese breakfast (apart from western cuisine, that being lovers of japanese food, we didn't try), featuring kyoto-styled pickled dishes. Do try the quality rice too.

On arrival 10/2018 was greeted by warm friendley staff, English wasn't fantastic but my Japanese worse. Was a little shocked at the checking in process that I had to pay 1600 yen tax of some sort, anyway that wasn't going to upset too much as first time traveller's to Japan.

I loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect, as it's right down the road from the JR station. The staff were always pleasant and helpful whenever I interacted with them. The woman in the dining room for breakfast always had a kind smile and was very nice. I wish

Suggest you contact the hotel. I know in Australia that is commonplace, but I am not sure in Japan

Great question. My wife and I stayed in a very traditional ‘Ryokan’ on about the 2nd day into our holiday - and it was a shell shock! They spoke little or no English and it was hard going. Having said that, it was a good experience. However, we stayed at a more relaxed Ryokan later in our trip, the staff spoke limited English and tried to accomodate us. They also put on a (Japanese version of a ) western breakfast which we appreciated. So give it a try - if it is too hard, have a backup plan - and my saviour was Google Translate with the Japanese dictionary

I have checked Hotel home page. There is the following statement about "Express Courier Service": If you send your parcel(s) to our hotel Please write the name(s) of the hotel guest(s) (full name) and check-in date and send your parcel(s) to our hotel. We will give you the parcel(s) at the time of your check in. We do not accept CODs. Please pay when you send the parcel(s). Please ask to the Google site with the phrase of "Daiwa Roynet Hotel Express Courier Service". I think you can find the hotel service page including "Express Courier Service".
