Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The kitchen is fully equipped, there is everything one could need to prepare a nice meal (pots, pans, ovens, dishes, and a lot of baking equipment). The showers there are unbeatable compared to other campgrounds; big, light, very clean and constantly warm. The owners are very friendly people trying to help you with all of your needs. I’m very glad I got to this campsite! The cafes and especially the “Raj Indian Restaurant” are just to recommend by the way.

Friendly accommodating hosts let us leave the site later than the normal check out time. Only stayed the one night in our caravan and didn’t need to use the kitchen but there seemed to be heaps of utensils, pots, pans etc for any one to use and it was spotlessly clean. It is a small camp with lots of permanent people. Well cared for property

Due to circumstances we arrived in a Motorhome quite late at night.
We advised Denis of this late arrival time and he made sure that he was there to greet us, assisted in parking on the powered site and left the office lighting on so that we could find ourselves around unfamiliar surroundings.
A very helpful and gracious host - would happily stay again.

Kitchen was really good with a lot of stuff you could freely use. Definitely one of the best camping kitchens i've seen so far. Also splendid wifi connection everywhere at the park. Very clean free showers which are pretty rare. I would recommend this place if your staying in Balclutha.

If you need to stop in Balclutha for any reason you need to stay at balclutha Motor Camp. Friendly informative owners who will go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Best facilities, kitchen and toilets spotless, modern and well maintained. Very central to the main balclutha CBD and close to tourist destinations such as Clutha river, Catlins and the gateway to the Southern Tourist locations.
I thoroughly recommend this Motorcamp. AAA+

A beautiful campsite close to shops and local parks. Dennis was a wonderful host, kind and friendly 😊, I came here with my little dog and was welcomed. The residence in at this campsite are all lovely and very friends, I felt safe and welcomed. Facilities are equipped with all you need. Clean, tidy and has pots and pans for cooking.

I visited a few campsites in the area before deciding on where to camp and this motor home was by far the best! Will definitely come for another stay soon. Thank you Dennis for your warm hospitality and for being a dog friendly place. It's not easy to come by dog friendly motor homes so thank you for accommodating us!

A+++++

Thanks heaps!
Rana and Mila

Our first option of staying at Roxburgh fell through at the last minute so we travelled on to Balclutha. Lots of permanent people staying at this camp, but the owner / staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are clean and the showers are good. Nice an quiet at night and easy to get in and out of.

Stayed here for one night on our way to Catlins. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Provided us with lots of suggestions for where to go and what to do in the Catlins.
The site is compact but well laid out. Awesome kitchen facilities, free showers and paid laundry.
Can’t really say anything other than how great our stay was - thanks!

After a disappointing stay in Cromwell we were delighted to arrive at the Balcutha motorcamp. A personal tour and we got to pick our site. The bathrooms and showers are spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything you could think of and more. Would definitely come back.

Great friendly owners with heaps of information to hand. Best kitchen facilities we have ever come across and so spotlessly clean. All of the facilities are excellent and grounds are well kept. Well done guys, wish there were more like you. Good luck with your future plans.
